  1. Chadster in cognitive dissonance shocker 😁
  2. I think you’ve read the FAQs wrong re four free tickets per adult. The one on their website says only 4 Under 14 tickets can be bought per adult… though happy to be corrected if you have a different FAQ. However, generally great stuff, get the next generation in just like we used to do with Under 8s… just saying. (What’s happened to your sales train, by the way? Could Mr Negative have been right that 90% of sales are made in the early bird, and we will now see a trickle? I accept your apology in advance 😉)
  3. I ‘don’t give a fig’ about them either, however I do give a lot of figs about Blackburn Rovers- so it is obviously telling and useful that very similar local clubs have had such spikes in sales. Reducing prices by £100+, even outside the PL, increases sales markedly, that is now very clear. Interesting that Bolton did it under new owners, PNE did it with the same owners, but only when the son of Trevor Hemmings has taken a more prominent role in the club… Obviously the first change won’t be happening here probably in all our bloody lifetimes, but the second is possible in the medium term - roll on that day, a new broom, a fresh approach and let’s get out of this stupor.
  4. I agree, if it’s an Adam Wharton situation and he gets to play games here, great. But if he can’t get a kick, loan him out, the ‘Clogham United’ stuff, ignorant drivel.
  5. Oh yeah the Wigan ‘rivalry’, how cringe was all that 😁
  6. It was £279 in the Riverside in 2018 when he was appointed.
  7. I believe the Rovers Trust, sorry We ARE The Rovers are renewing it as we speak.
  8. Yes, you were coming out with silly and ignorant comments about the division just one level below, a division that has been a cracking learning ground for many a top player. You also said you hoped he would make ‘a dozen appearances’, he had more than that last season. To develop further he needs more first team football, if it isn’t going to be on offer here, then loan him out, pretty standard stuff.
  9. Because you don’t understand the implications of it, obviously…
  10. How many did we sell? Not very many, but then neither did most clubs in that era, crowds were on their arse across football… the opposite of today.
  11. I personally would’ve kept him for the 12 month option (as he was obviously willing to stay). Still quality, would be the senior experienced pro in a squad badly lacking experience and a goal scorer in a squad badly lacking goal scorers. However, I just don’t think JDT fancied him, so fair enough, it’s his team - so let’s just hope he doesn’t shortly feck off too.
  12. Though it is of course a cracking example that reducing prices in 2008 saw a big spike in sales from where we were in the mid 2000s, unfortunately if you use examples of the PL years valid points get drowned out by ‘well it was a load of PL glory hunters buying them’. What is more valid is how sales have only been stuck at this nadir of c8k since the price hikes post 2019. Similar local clubs outside the PL have proved how that can be overcome…
  13. Well if two blokes in their bedrooms say so…
  14. It’s a turn of phrase. It means they are dominating the league, I.e five titles in six seasons. It doesn’t mean they win literally every trophy. Liverpool had a ‘stranglehold ‘ in the 80s, Man Utd in the 90s and 00s, obviously we of all clubs know that they didn’t win everything.
  15. Maybe because they’ve won five titles in six years, the latest as part of a treble?
  16. All fans ‘deserve’ success. We all keep the faith year in year out hoping for the tide to turn, and eventually it does for some sides - so fair play for those supporters that have got lucky enough to support a club on the up… and commiserations to the ones that don’t get said luck -but hope springs eternal and one day it might be their club too.
  17. Alas the only opinion that matters is that of the CEO, and he ain’t for budging. When’s he retiring again?
  18. Yes, if you think we’d only sell 10k with reduced prices it would only be an extra 700 to sell from the 9,300 we finished last season with. Yes every chance as PNE have proved. They had less than 8k before they reduced prices, they now sell c12k. End of the day I think we’d sell PNE-esque numbers, you don’t because you think the floating fanbase have some issue with the owners. So we will just go round in circles until we get a CEO that will take a chance.
  19. So you honestly think we’d only sell 700 extra STs with a £100 reduction even though when PNE reduced them by £100+ they sold 4,000+ extra? How daft, most floating fans don’t give a shiny shite about the owners, they do care about their wallet.
  20. Don’t be silly, Hayden Carter learnt a shedload more playing proper first team football at Portsmouth than half paced youth football.
