  1. Not anymore! Even he’s had enough (and 1864). Times must be bad…
  2. Of course. Just need that corner flag statement so the club can try and get out of suspended animation. ‘Steve Waggott has retired….’
  3. Need to get the Stanley commercial team in. Non league level support base yet they ‘sweat the assets’, provide a far superior match day experience on buttons.
  4. We can debate it, indeed I enjoy discussing the art of the possible with folk on here that are fizzing with good ideas. However, I’m afraid it will all be in cold storage until we get a new CEO.
  5. … and a taxi home after every crunching tackle.
  6. It’ll be the new, new Wembley by that stage and we’ll put a late header wide in the semi final of whatever the Papa John’s cup is called by then…
  7. So 2057? Definitely reckon we’ll have made a playoffs in some division by then…
  8. Hope it didn’t all add up to £20.12…
  9. Unfortunately there’s a booking fee.
  10. After selling our wonderkid for a knock down price already. Because you imagine these owners will then actually release the dosh from it 🤦‍♂️ Good job you aren’t the DoF…
  11. So the day they leave we are back to c19/20k ST holders?
  12. Does it say that? We have c3k buying a match day ticket for a normal game. Same as it ever was, but with half the ST holders, ergo a very empty ground.
  13. Easter onwards we’ve had four home games - Norwich, Hull, Coventry and Dingles. How many saves has the opposition keeper made in them?
  14. When you have so few ST holders these days, and many of the remaining rump aren’t away game goers anyway, it’s now always highly unlikely that we sell out aways before open sale (the likes of the Dingles, a one off very small allocation aside).
  15. Not surprising that GB has to jump through hoops with the player and his agent. End of the day in the modern game you’ve got to treat average footballers (in the grand scheme of things) like movie stars .
  16. Thoughtful piece Herbie, however your final paragraph… ‘home league games worked in the 1970s - but we are in the Web 3.0, contactless payment, e-commerce, blockchain, subscription world - is it still truly fit for purpose ? ‘ I would say booming attendances across English football, PNE, Bolton etc. selling considerably more STs than they did pre Covid says they still do work in the format they are in and it’s price, price, price.
  17. Yep, since Comcast bought Sky off Murdoch it has been a noticeable change in approach.
  18. So we need to sell an 18 year old (for bugger all in the grand scheme of things compared to what we’d get in a year/two years time) in order to bring in anyone that isn’t a loan or a free transfer? Roll up, roll up for those season tickets!
  19. All the way to the badlands of Surrey indeed 😁
  20. You can, but I’ve no idea how, I like to actually debate with people.
  21. We are considerably more expensive than all our local rivals, and we’ve hardly had a home game not on Sky for 6 months. The club isn’t sure we’ll even hit 6k by the early bird deadline, so I would say, on the whole, the fanbase has decided they are not ‘reasonable’.
  22. To be fair it’s the Chadster’s term of reference for a meal out, as he does enjoy an all you can eat buffet, he’s mentioned it a few times.
  23. I would think so, you just can’t see him getting a start when he’s so rusty. All a bit of a mess up top, isn’t it.
  24. And he obviously isn’t match fit, he’s had 20 minutes on the pitch since mid February.
  25. I’m just glad he has me on ignore 😁
