  1. A Waggott cash grab for those with more money than sense (or tagging along on a corporate table). We already know who the player of the season is, we already know goal of the season. So it’s padded out with odd awards like ‘best contributor of the year’ 🤷‍♂️ and ‘most Peter Jackson Watches of the year’.
  2. Looks like it, zoom in to the collar of that BBD T-shirt! Well we do have our very own car boot salesman in the boardroom…
  3. Half the PL is now made up of London and south coast clubs…
  4. Shouldn’t be allowed, only Blackburn Rovers and Grasshoppers Zurich as per Subbeteo…
  5. Totally disagree, the final season had a real feeling of impending doom and it brought it all home re NJ vs NY…
  6. The Sopranos was absolutely fantastic to the very end, you wash your mouth out! Capisci?
  7. In what way do Adkins teams ‘play good football’? A bit like when Sky constantly tell me that TM teams also do..
  8. Fruit of the Loom! No expense spared there! There was a slight delay getting them printed and on sale, I believe, as they were in the supplier printing queue behind the “Baz’s Benidorm Stag 2021!” T-shirts…
  9. So after three years of Farke we might have a chance of promotion? He won’t be prepared to give us that, not the other way round…
  10. Sounds great in theory OEB, but will the club actually get round to the monetising bit of it? They never particularly bothered making the most of the BBD phenomenon…
  11. I think O’Rourke is fairly on the ball, simple as that. Whereas ’ITK-ers’ on this board rarely come up trumps, probably due to the dysfunctional nature of the club as much as their contacts being duff, so yes, I’m not going to get excited on brfcs (or Nicko) rumours…
  12. What that Rothwell was about to sign? Well he was, but no journo can forsee the unpredictability of Venky World. He’s far more accurate than most others. Looking forward to you trying to spin this one if he did trap…
  13. Well, O’Rourke’s tweets usually lead to an announcement/signing soon after. So, that was all fun while it lasted…
  14. As John Williams always said it’s a hell of a lot easier keeping a ST holder than trying to get them back, so you do everything you can to keep them in the tent… this shower never bothered learning that key lesson from day one.
  15. So like I said, a better manager might have got us promoted, ergo reducing losses, but it’s not his fault that he was allowed to carry on and on and on by the owners, is it? So I ask again, how the bloody hell is this one employee who could’ve been fired at any time the one that has ‘wasted £100 million?!’
  16. Derbs, like Gally, was developed by the Our Lady & St John PE department, of course! Mr Mooney = super coach.
  17. Despite everything, just one more win would’ve seen us with every chance going into Saturday. Amazing really when you consider how we’ve collapsed and says a lot about how wide open it’s been, with teams falling over themselves not to get in the top 6… what a chance we blew.
  18. Will there? With who? He’s just a second tier run of the mill clogger to me, suppose it shows how little connection I have with players these days, even one that’s come through the academy to be captain.
  19. My main experience isn’t particularly of lapsed fans having any abiding issue with the owners, just the age old issue of once they stop their ST, for whatever reason (and it may well initially have been due to owner decisions), they just drift away and find other things to do with their Saturday, indeed many of them realise just how big a commitment it is to give up half your weekend (and a fair few midweeks) every other week and would now never come back regardless. It has been amplified here by just how many ST holders walked away between 2011 and 2012 (c8,000) and then again in 2016 with Coyle (c2000). We’ve never recovered…
  20. But you are putting those losses solely on the first team manager, they would pretty much the same whoever was in situ in this league, so if your argument is ‘he should’ve got us up to minimise those losses, but he’s crap, so didn’t’, fair enough, but he obviously hasn’t personally ‘burned £100 million’, as he isn’t at fault for the horrendous way they’ve run the club, or for keeping a man you think is so inept and snide on for five years. He’s had mid table budgets for fees and wages and has finished mid table, does that mean he’s a good manager then? Not particularly, as the likes of Luton can show you can make a mockery of your budget in such a competitive league, but he obviously hasn’t ‘burned through £100 million’. VENKY’S have been burning their own cash for some unknown reason for 12 years now…
  21. Every chance we finish 10th, so just another season of oscillating in the second tier - 15th, 11th, 15th, 10th (?) under TM, looking at the squad if he was still here next season, that comfortable home of 15th looked as likely as anything else. So ‘steady’, yes, those final league positions are the epitome of it, but ‘steady progress’, no. (But if thats how you see it, Patrick, then fair enough, you shouldn’t be told to feck off somewhere else just because you doesn’t subscribe to brfcs groupthink.)
