  1. Aye ok. We had all this with BBD in the summer and with Rothwell last January. You think the hacks would have worked out by now that these owners are inscrutable to even those close to/in the club, nevermind Twitter ‘journos’. Fills a few inches in various rags every week all the way to the end of January though, I suppose…
  2. It would be a rather strange/weak manager that would pick his team off what Roverboi95 on brfcs.com or Twitter thought. TM certainly didn’t give a fig what fans thought of his selections either… and quite right too.
  3. Why which manager wouldn’t sub a player because of the fans?
  4. Really, Mike? The kind of folk that would kick off? Doubt the day would make one iota of difference. And obviously Saturday would’ve been 12:30 too.
  5. Good job they have some decent players as ‘Lamps’ himself ain’t going to be a differentiator…
  6. Just play it on the alternative night. Tuesday for one game, Wednesday the other, no?
  7. In what way? You can still sup for hours on a Sunday. Not exactly Sunday trading .
  8. Considering Sky usually show a 12:30 Saturday Championship game anyway, what is the rationale for (presumably) local plod making this game, and Cardiff v Swansea take place mostly at Sunday dinner? Do hoolies behave better on a Sunday?
  9. They cannot afford to get relegated when in the midst of building a new ground, so if there’s a chance they might, he’ll be potted.
  10. City fans? Surely not! Thought *everybody* supported Burnley in Burnley? Certainly something you hear journos and even Kompany himself constantly coming out with…
  11. Thing is, on the rest of social media the pricing is deemed to be absolutely fine and all the empty seats are purely the fault of ‘shit Rovers fans’. Obviously the substantial ST sales at Bolton and PNE have passed them by, which is nice for Swag et al.
  12. End of the day if a fan doesn’t like the price, they won’t go, no skin off their nose. They certainly won’t be sending stuff to random club email addresses.
  13. Didn’t realise it was the job of individual fans to educate the club on what a sensible ticket price is for a midweek League Cup tie a few days before Christmas.
  14. Us being one of them!
  15. Hmm, not sure. A league game certainly would, but can’t see it for a midweek cup tie as I’d wager at least a third of ST holders won’t buy a ticket. So you are then needing 10,000+ non ST holder walk ons to get towards 15k home fans, more than double the number of any game this season, and I just can’t see that for a December mid week game against ‘normal’ opposition.
  16. They going to re-re-name that stand that’s named after him?
  17. Of course he has to take it. Personally don’t think it will work out, him and Luton just seem well matched, but he will want to back his ability and test himself at the highest level. But even if he tanks he’ll be set up for life as he’s been given a three and a half year deal at a PL club.
  18. Spot the lad that lives in a town with a load of Dingles in it! 😁
  19. Agreed morten, there will be a good few walk ons, but as plenty of ST holders will swerve it (and as not a league game won’t be included in the gate anyway) it won’t be a particularly big home turnout. I can see Forest fetching a good number though to make it look respectable.
  20. Swag will be sniffing a decent Forest turnout, so £25 a few days before Christmas it is…
  21. FA Cup quarters under Bowyer? Can’t think of much since.
  22. To be fair to her, he has just been appointed today, just being topical.
  23. There’s about five threads on the first page of UTC, all with plenty of posts in. One of them alone nearing 100 posts. Here, one seven page thread. Just another game for you big boys, ay Zak 😁
  24. Well they still have more parachute payments to come next season. Alas, the rigged system that the relegated clubs benefit from will give them another chance.
  25. Err no, 1864. Burnley were willing to charge us £25 for away tickets this season if we reciprocated at Ewood… of course, Swag said no.
