  1. Let’s just hope whoever gets it doesn’t get too long a deal, as they won’t be going anywhere until the end of it whatever the results are…
  2. Yep, move till end of June for claim your seat, oh and scrap the new/returning fan tax immediately.
  3. Local journos hate the close season. There’s no matches to report on and they can’t just roll up to the pressers and file days worth of copy on the back of whatever banal stuff a manager comes out with. But filling your pages with rumours from this place really is scraping the barrel!
  4. Of course ‘vision’ ‘strategy’ should be a two way street or why would the manager (or club) waste their time?
  5. I would be surprised, and I’d be happy enough if we can get back to c9k+ of 2019/20 (though imagine being happy with 9k sales a few years back, but it’s a base to work from). * But be wary of the club over egging the positivity when it comes to sales, heard it before; I.e ‘on track’, ‘not far from…’ The reality may be very different.
  6. ‘Logical reasons’, main one being ‘no bugger’s buying them’ ?
  7. Ha my phone tried to correct it to yon mon 🤡, should’ve kept it…
  8. It will be the penny wise, pound foolish false economists that are the Raos all over if we miss out on a decent manager due to not wanting to pay up the likes of Lowe and Benson, for what will in all likelihood be peanuts…
  9. ‘Sweat the asset’, whatever the size of your business is, and they do it brilliantly. Compare and contrast…
  10. If they do sell 12k STs, with walk ons and a standard away following they will be looking at 16/17k crowds for a normal game, with plenty of 20k+ crowds when a decent sized away following traps - just like Bolton. Yet, we will in all likelihood be seeing more c9,000 crowds like we did in the first half of last season. Obviously not a single lesson has been learnt from the shambles of last summer and the embarrassment of selling the lowest numbers of STs for 30+ years… but isn’t that just the the problem, nobody senior at Blackburn Rovers, either here or in Pune, will be remotely embarrassed (or be held accountable).
  11. 2018 it was £279 in the Riverside, £299 in the Blackburn End, £329-£349 in the JWU. For a new ST holder this time (in the midst of a cost of living crisis)…. £429 BBEnd/Riverside, £489-£529 in the JWU. Absolutely insane.
  12. Hughes is a very strange one, apart from QPR his record was not to be sniffed at, but since that stint at Southampton his reputation in the game must’ve have fallen off a cliff, ergo pitching up in the bottom half of the fourth division…
  13. Why are you ‘welcoming him to the club’ then? If you know it’s just ‘possible’?
  14. Ha! We are just collectively known as ‘the forums’ IRL. I.e ‘ those negative clowns on the forums’
  15. Stop flogging a dead horse on this one, 1864. It was the Mail Online comment section FFS! 😁 No business or charity would ever undertake any initiative if they were worried about the reaction on that cesspit!
  16. Pages of the pros and cons of said young Rao, but is there any actual substance, or just a rumour? As I’m sure we’ve heard something similar about this lad before…
  17. That Garlick will be counting his silver… but at least he got a good deal unlike those fool Walker kids.
  18. *Sigh*, Im not deriding any work that goes on behind the scenes, I’m deriding the ‘I know something you don’t know’ of certain posters. Either tell folk what’s going on, or say nowt if you can’t. Not months and months of ‘If only you knew! You lot are clueless lolz’. I can only judge any change from what is actually happening, not on vague promises of those with little power within Ewood, and we’ve been hearing for a year now that ‘things are changing’… yet we are seeing a manager search very similar to the one in 2016. So my OTK eyes tell me very little has changed in six years. PS, what’s my agenda, you’ve gone very quiet on that one? 😁
  19. *Rewarding those with an earlier in the month pay day.
  20. Oh I see, you gave the impression that it was Rovers fans, not anonymous posters on that well known progressive bastion of the Mail Online 😁
