  1. The announcement that we are now ‘following the Brentford method, that will lead to pathways to the first team etc etc’ can’t be far off...
  2. Just like every manager of ours coming from the HSH/SEM stable, Venus/Waggott ending up at a second club in a row that now wants to build housing on the training ground will be just a coincidence, I’m sure...
  3. Not taking long for this all to unravel, is it...
  4. If he doesn’t prioritise winning games anyway, why is he being such a petulant arse in recent weeks then?
  5. ‘I talked about stats the other day didn't I last week? And one of those stats was we had the most touches in the opposition penalty area of anyone else in the league.’ Have I woken up in 2012? - ‘Crooke - And I know you're not big on milestones but four years at a football club is a pretty big achievement, is there anything that stands out in your time as manager that you take great pride in? A proud memory or a favourite moment?’ Mowbray - No. How petulant. Supposed professional football manager in his mid 50s. Either he’s on his way out or he really is just going through the motions - whatever it is isn’t good for the club.
  6. Going to be pissing it down in Blackburn from this afternoon till KO tomorrow night. Good job this new £2million pitch is on the way...
  7. They did for his 200th game in charge which was in a midst of a decent January. They aren’t posting anything because the tide has turned, so they know what the comments will (largely, Stability crew, aside) be like...
  8. Perhaps Sophie-May Clarke would be better to contact as she’s the only person at the LT seemingly covering it...
  9. If we’d have won a few games in February instead of January, the TM celebratory memes would’ve been all over the club’s social media channels this week. You know the ones! Eating a biscuit, that one when he talking about scoring a goal for his beloved Boro, that kind of thing...
  10. Good job TM told the owners to ‘slow down’ or we’d be in a right mess 😒
  11. It’s just my take on it, but the only article on this development that isn’t in the news section (all written by news reporter Sophie-May Clarke) is the Fans Jury. Sharpe himself hasn’t written a thing...
  12. Ignoring the Dingle trolls and that utter fool Beetlejuice, I’m pretty pleased (and relieved) with a lot of the responses to the Jury article. There's definitely plenty of fans with their eyes wide open...
  13. It looks as if an editorial decision has been made to use news journalists instead of Sharpe and treat it purely as a local housing/planning issue. Which is fine, I suppose, for the local resident aspect of it, but from a football club perspective it is ‘nothing to see here’ and certainly shows that Sharpe/LT are simply swallowing the ‘state of the art’/combining facilities angle. Piss poor.
  14. ‘LT Fans Jury’ weekly article - https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19110094.communication-cost-fans-verdict-rovers-brockhall-plans/ Still a fair bit of denial going on, but at least there’s some reticence. I would wager said Jury is probably a more realistic snapshot of where the fanbase is. Not up in arms like brfcs (yet), but certainly not the uber-positive cretins you see on FB groups.
  15. Ha! There’s a worrying sign to what this regime has done to my faculties!
  16. No, I’m just pre-empting what I’ll see when the Cat 1 status is removed...
  17. You missed the apostrophes, I take it? I’m going to take a perverted type of pleasure in watching the mental gymnastics the FB brigade go through to justify the ever onward downsize over the next few years...
  18. That’s what struck me about his comments as he is usually wedged far up the backside of whoever is in situ here.
  19. ‘What other non PL clubs around here are Cat 1? We need to be realistic. We should carry on using TM’s contacts to bring in more Elliotts instead. Good and sensible move by the club IMO’
  20. Yes, but in the news, not the Rovers section (I know, I rarely go to that section either).
  21. As I said yesterday, the fact that the statement only talks about ‘pathways’ and doesn’t even mention probably the biggest success of the entire club in recent times - the Cat 1 Academy, rings big alarm bells for me for its future...
  22. Yes, but there was a big groundswell late on in 2012/13 that carried on into the early days of 13/14 that it was time for him to go and ‘Newcastle had done us a favour’.
  23. First noting of potential local objections... https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/19107267.questions-housing-needs-blackburn-rovers-brockhall-site/
  24. Club’s make mistakes. However, most other clubs step in in good time when it’s obvious it isn’t working out - be it an inexperienced coach or a manager with years of management under his belt. Indeed, even in the ‘good old days’, Jack and John Williams made errors or had underperforming managers - and they usually (perhaps Souness went on slightly too long, but he had a stellar track record with us to fall back on) got rid and replaced before it was too late. In this present day vacuum it all just staggers on and on.
  25. Would’ve agreed with you up to League 1. There’s been a big swing towards the owners since, surprised if you haven’t noticed it.
