But Gallagher and Ennis will ‘fit the club’s philosophy and style of play’ (a shit one, presumably).

You fancy being Club Secretary, Mark? Reckon you’d make a better fist of it than some of the other folk we’ve had… -
Oh I would. We get ‘lucky’ in a way up here that the London clubs don’t get much of a look in… but then again you weirdly never saw a City shirt until c2012… wonder what happened then? 🤷♂️

Look at BBD, terrible for years and was still given loads of encouragement and he was a 7 million man. No chance he’d have been given such patience at most other clubs. -

Thing is many of today’s managers are so rigid they still would play inverted wingers even if Shearer was standing there. -

It’s almost new year and our number 9 has one goal, of course he’ll get mutterings. But he also gets cheered to the rafters, he bloody wouldn’t at a lot of clubs, great fans here. -
Yep, O2G should make it easier for himself and just sum up each FF meeting with “Club says they can’t”

Don’t be daft Norbert. There are loads of tales to why folk support clubs across the country. All part and parcel of the game’s rich tapestry. We both know that Utd and Liverpool are not comparable as there are *millions* of people with no connection to those two club across the country apart from the fact they are successful - otherwise why isn’t every town full of Rovers fans or Villa fans or Everton fans.

‘Attendance at today’s sell out is 25,600’ Sorry, what?
-
Bitter? Nah, I feel sorry for them.
-
Ha if you believe that, the old ‘my parents drove past Old Trafford once’ As for ‘supporting them 20 years ago’. Yeah wonder why they started doing that 🤔?

Yes I imagine he won’t be making him do thirty laps of Brockhall in punishment. -
Because they are a Man Utd ‘fan’ from Blackburn or Preston or Accy or Bolton etc etc.
-
Not real pain as they aren’t real fans.

No you’re right. He’ll just get them together at training and go, ‘doesn’t matter that we conceded the same goal twice in five minutes, let’s all have a round of applause for a Sunderland positive tactical change’. -

How often do teams score pretty much the same goal twice in five minutes? Eustace prides himself on defensive organisation, so of course he’ll be fuming about it. -

They are getting the support they deserve. Larger walk ons than previous seasons every week. -

Gueye is very popular with the fans. He’s not been ‘written off’ and he’s been ‘given time’. If someone on here does want to write him off then that’s up to them. -
Tracking our (outbound) loan players 24/25
Mattyblue replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Why? If they were pulling up trees they’d be playing. These are pro clubs, not development teams there to do us a favour - flip it round, maybe they should refuse loans from us if we provide duds. -
Oxford, before that the Liverpool cup QF. For a full price league game, Wigan on PL relegation night 2012 - but of course we had far more ST holders then, this is unprecedented for walk ons.

Not fanciful at all. We are attracting casual fans, we now get substantially more walk ons every week than we did a couple of years ago. The key to supplement that is sell more STs as that’s the base of the support in the tent each week regardless of a dip in form, it being a wet day in January, a midweek etc - and that can only happen in the summer. Bit of a feel good factor this season and an enticing offer and we’d sell plenty for next season and we’d see decent gates every week, alas Swag et al aren’t interested. -
The Academy exists to provide players for the first team, that’s it. Of course only a handful in the building ever will be provided. Some years are more fruitful than others, but I wouldn’t say there’s an issue generally at the moment. Unfortunately that means a lot of the lads are there just to make up the numbers. They’ll either end up at a Barrow or working in Tesco, that’s the game, it’s brutal.

Oh it is, I don’t have to hear their entitled whining.

Of course 18k home fans isn’t anything to crow about in and of itself, but where we are right now with only 9k ST holders it very much is. Cracking gate, with another one to come in a week or so. -
People actually talk to Man Utd (or Liverpool) ‘fans’ about football? Some pathetic armchair fan who should be down at Ewood or wherever else supporting their local team. Feck them, I wouldn’t waste a second of my time engaging them.
