  1. You shouldn’t be relying on ‘hindsight’ to work out that we fall down the table from Christmas onwards every season. Why does this thing seem to happen ever year? Bit odd, isn’t it? Maybe it’s due to so many games with a small squad. Said squad picks up injuries, doesn’t get reinforced in January, we fall down the table. Repeated ad nauseam.
  2. Always summed up this regime’s priorities that they whipped up gantries on the Riverside in days when it had obviously been decided somewhere to focus the cameras on busier looking stands… yet fifteen years on they can’t assemble a disabled viewing platform.
  3. That’s his media done till the next word salad in August.
  4. Appointed in April 2024, quite a long stretch by their standards…
  5. Oh joy, even more sympathetic Clarets. 🙄
  6. ‘Come wearing your colours for the club’s 150th anniversary’ ‘Right, that’s now on the socials, so 150th done, so moving on when we doing the next Digital Day, Steve?’
  7. Is it possible we go down? Yes. Is it possible we go bust? No. They will keep this club going zombie style for many more years yet…
  8. We’ll see. That’s only a couple of losing play off campaigns. We’ve seen it with other former yo yo clubs, once those parachutes go they are back in the pack.
  9. We’ll see how ‘well run off the field’ they are if they are still in this division in the summer of 2026…
  10. I've said it twice, once being just now. Check your dictionary for 'several' Point being, the Committee do not, and have never balloted the membership for their strategic decisions. Current said strategy being 'critical friends' of the club. So flip it round and they no longer want to be friends, as they are instead asking for Swag's removal, presumably they won't be asking the membership about it first...
  11. They haven't asked for mine when it comes to being 'critical friends'.
  12. That's no way to talk to a friend.
  13. If you can get up and then initially survive you can make a fist of it. We’ve discussed Forest, but also the not exactly ‘massive’ Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Palace. Gates between 10k and 26k and they are looking pretty steady. Alas, we won’t get up, won’t initially survive and won’t make a fist of it.
  14. It’ll be part of a ‘Club Sustainability Policy’ that Suhail will have signed off on… perhaps they should concentrate on becoming the ‘sustainable Premier League club’ that Broughton fella kept going on about.
  15. ‘Digital Day’ returns 🙄
  16. Ah ‘ the non-manager structure’ giving us some stability unlike managers that come and go… oh, wait, half of those folk have buggered off already this season.
  17. Some folk can’t cope with what they deem as ‘negativity’, so have to ignore all rational evidence and prior experience and just put their head in the sand instead.
  18. August deadline, fair enough to an extent as there will be 40+ games left (still not an excuse as you want them doing a pre season with the team), however ‘wait until 5th February’ is a cop out from an unserious ‘professional’ football club- and more fool you if you go along with it.
  19. Apart from Rev who’s being silly, who doesn’t think Tronstadt is good enough? Or Brittain? Or Hyam? But generally, yes, we obviously over analyse our own players as they are the ones we care about and see every week. But outside the parachute clubs the whole league is full of average, journeymen footballers, it’s why they play at this level. Ours can’t be uniquely crap or we wouldn’t be 5th on the 20th January, regardless of Eustace.
  20. It’s away games where Cantwell really struggles, often the case with that type of player.
  21. This place always forgets that we obsessives on here are the outliers. Most fans just want to watch a game of the club they associate with at Ewood/on a dodgy box/on Sky. They don’t give a toss about the off-field stuff - unless they see us at the wrong end of the table and then they will briefly join the dots (until we get away from it).
  22. Yep. We on here pour over every minutiae around the club. The wider fanbase purely look at results. Last February it got a bit testy for the first time in a while. Why? Due to us hurtling down the table, another crap window just added to it. This window shuts after the usual January non event and nothing will particularly stir in the fanbase as we’ll be sitting inside or just outside the top 6.
  23. Not happening. They are now too entwined with the club (I say ‘they’, I am referring to the committee, as I’m a member and I haven’t been asked on what the relationship with this ownership should be). Though in fairness to them, away from brfcs is there much groundswell against the Rao’s at this moment in time? I wouldn’t say so, not even close to where it was 12 months ago and that wasn’t particularly vitriolic.
  24. He’s playing for a club that in all likelihood will finish about 9th in the Championship for a reason.
