  1. De Ligt is a big unit for lad of his age. No reason our young lads can’t add upper body size and strength, of course...
  2. Surely the club could’ve put him on a resistance training programme? Get BB on it whilst you’re at it.
  3. If you go down Albion Street off Livesey Branch Road, there is a car park that’s £3. 5 minute walk to ground.
  4. The authorities obviously see Bury as expendable.
  5. Winning is a habit and all that. But Rangers aside are we really crowing about beating lower and non league teams in friendlies? Mowbray put our slow start in League 1 down to average opposition in friendlies. Not sure on that myself, but it exactly intense football.
  6. Bolton’s game at Wycombe is on. The PFA are paying the wages. Bury’s is off.
  7. No he’s also a poor player. You obviously rate Nuttall, fair enough, game of opinions, but in my view he’ll never play at this level again. But he’s young enough to improve, so hope he does.
  8. Also, Darren Fletcher only became a United first team player in 2004. Keane was on his way out of United by then. Poor stuff from the site ‘football man’.
  9. Would be a good deal for us. He will never, ever be a Championship level striker. BB being a crazy fee doesn’t change that.
  10. Maybe. Still a good deal. As would £750,000 for Nuttall.
  11. I’d amend that river name before the resident Darreners get very upset!
  12. Fast falling into Todd Kane territory.
  13. Selling Nuttall for what we paid for Dack would be some business...
  14. Aren’t all deals ‘undisclosed’ these days? The fees are still usually leaked to the media.
  15. Every chance they go down reading that article... Despite seeing 13 members of his first-team leave over the summer, Cook has made only two ‘new’ signings this summer – goalkeeper David Marshall and midfielder Lewis Macleod. He’s also brought in defender Antonee Robinson – who spent last season on loan at the DW – from Everton on a permanent basis.
  16. Any chance of selling Mulgrew to a club at the level he should now be playing at went out the window in November when he signed an improved new deal to 2021. Scottish clubs (Celtic aside), as an example, won’t get close to matching his wages.
  17. We must be starting a poor man’s version of the Chelsea loan system...
  18. Thought he couldn’t even get in the side at Lincoln? A top end League 2 side at the time.
  19. Maybe he’ll have a year out like Whittingham. Why not, ay!
  20. To be fair not on here. LT below the line and Facebook groups very much so. ‘We need to be realistic we can’t compete with parachutes’ etc
  21. What is so frustrating is as an attacking force I think we are on the verge of something special. Every chance this opportunity is thrown away because of his defensive blind spot. Things change so rapidly in this division, this season could be THE chance for the foreseeable, we spurn it, Dack goes Etc and it’s another ‘what might have been’, akin to the Rhodes/Gestede/Cairney et al season.
  22. The odd lot to the west are obsessed as ever, I see. 6 page thread on our season tickets, more than the one on their own sales... https://www.pne-online.net/forum/index.php?threads/cheeky-plastics.3428475/page-5
  23. Be delighted to see it. I think he’s a long way away personally and i’ve said so, but there would be nobody cheering those goals more than me at Ewood. Because you know, I want the best for Blackburn Rovers.
  24. On the books since 6. He’s a Manc, I think
  25. Club shop still haven’t sorted that damn photo of Harry Chapman!
