  1. What’s the Rovers style of play then? As I’m pretty sure JDT plays nothing like JE.
  2. Noticed this thread has now been renamed ‘Half Season Tickets’ from FF. Perhaps it should be renamed ‘Rovers Commercial Thread’ or something as it does seem to cover all sorts.
  3. Initial £350 to £450, but in the run up to KO it was £450 -£555 a ST, yet the club sees no issue with this and will be offering more of the same next summer, perhaps even more this time, ergo we’ll sell 9,000 (at best) again. A lot of word salad, deflection and excuses, as always, by the club in those minutes, but fairly easy to realise that they will never offer enticing adult pricing, they don’t care about extra bums on seats, never have, it’s far too much effort and risk for their cushy numbers, they have their revenue targets and that’s that. So we can all feel free to carry on with ‘well, if we price the Riverside at this, the JW at this’ - however the club is not interested.
  4. Birmingham definitely did…
  5. So where is the line drawn to when a manager has strayed too far from the club defined ‘style of play’. Presumably results dictate, as if a team suddenly started playing like a Dyche side but were winning plenty I doubt there’d be much of an issue…
  6. Noticed that a lot of clubs auto renew STs on DD or full card payment etc. Why not here? Surely that would help ‘the churn’ of non-renewers if you have to opt out instead of having to make a conscious decision every summer. I pay to watch BRFC why should it just run out? My other DDs or auto renewals don’t.
  7. Now firmly part of the lower league journeymen manager merry go round. Very kind of Rovers for letting him learn his trade.
  8. How about opening the end blocks of the Riverside and JW lower first. Is a 1,000 netted off seats in the Darwen End lower not enough segregation? A line of stewards seems to do the trick at most other derbies.
  9. Come on nobody goes to the shop on a Tuesday (even if just before Christmas) Get it closed.
  10. You must be a masochist to actually enjoy long distance driving in this country, but whatever floats your boat
  11. What was Sellars doing about 30 seconds in there? Surely there was a safe pass he could’ve made five yards to his left?
  12. Never any traffic on the M6.
  13. £10 a ticket offers for a weekend game work a treat, see Watford last season as the latest of many examples… so the club offer £10 for a Tuesday night in January and you can’t even buy one for yourself. Another masterstroke from the brain trust down there.
  14. So nothing will change re adult pricing then, 9,000 ST holders it is going forward. Why does the National Lottery need to fund the club’s 150th anniversary, a club owned by billionaires?
  15. Imagine Eustace having to explain himself to Gregg Broughton because he wasn’t hitting some ‘data point’ or other for some useless metric.
  16. To be fair 7,000+ tickets is not a ticket allocation we need to give. We have billionaire owners who have no impediment to fund the club and we are miles away from FFP worries. We choose to give enormous allocations when up to 3,000 is the standard across the league, indeed there are many clubs with plenty of empty seats in their grounds that still wouldn’t hand out more than 3k. Me personally I’d rather see a full Darwen End than massed banks of empty seats, but let’s not pretend it’s that or poverty.
  17. I’ll get pelters for this but I’d have given them the full end (obviously I wouldn’t have had last time to watch them celebrate a league title win). We could’ve been looking at our biggest second tier gate since 2001 if we had.
  18. No, higher ST sales don’t lead to noticeably fewer walk ons here, never has. Any season we sell more STs, the numbers of home fans in the ground week by week usually goes up by around that amount, and that’s also true on the flip side if we lose ST holders. Been the case here for 30 years and it’s why ST sales are vitally important. *P.S we don’t sell Ewood out because the ground is far too big for where we find ourselves. It was built for a small town club winning the league title not one spending a decade plus in the lower leagues with errant owners.
  19. Crawley 54 Tests, average scraping over 30, but will he be playing next summer and in the Ashes? Probably. It’s harder to get out this side than in it (Pope’s not much better).
  20. Reading that Harris went due to the son of the owner who died and is now holding the reins has brought in a new structure above the manager and wants to ‘play football the right way’, I.e Pep Ball and they ergo repeatedly clashed. This madness really has addled the brain of folk across football.
  21. That may well be one of the reasons why we only have 9k ST holders (though we also had 9k pre the TV deal and I’d say it would be next summer where the Championship will see the impact of this deal) but it doesn’t alter the fact that even if we sell, say, 9,000 walk ons, which is a huge amount at these prices, unprecedented in many ways, we still will only have 18k home fans in the ground and it will lead to Ewood still not being particularly close to capacity. You can’t sell out at Ewood with such a pathetic ST base - and that’s on the powers that be and their policies.
  22. Way it is with only 9,000 ST holders… I won’t bore you all with my mantra that I usually follow that statement with .
  23. Because many of your Rovers based opinions are so outlandish they aren’t even something you can have a rational debate on.
  24. Recently? He’s been like this since day dot of brfcs. Shouldn’t bite really as I honestly don’t think he ever does troll, he actually does believe some of the crackers stuff he comes out with.
  25. I’m not talking with hindsight, you are. Bit in bold, they’ve not done that since day 1 yet you backed them to the hilt until the scales finally came out your eyes just *months* ago.
