  1. Hmmm, all these things like cost, cold weather, night games after work, struggling to make a new time, or the thousands of our fans that need to travel decent distances and none of that will have any impact whatsoever when the majority of games can now simply be watched on TV instead. But Ok. I’ll leave it there as I can sense a black hole approaching.
  2. Yes you’re right, they’ll find out that half the games will be on TV at all manner of times. It will be next summer and the following season when it really starts impacting gates - and the clubs only have themselves to blame when their crowds drop and the only beneficiaries have been the players and the agents.
  3. Once again it isn’t about you (or me). As an example I personally like a 12.30 Saturday game as they are quite convenient for me, however do you think generally having half the games on TV at all manners of KO times is going to be a good thing for gates?
  4. Chadster with no opinion. 😀
  5. Do you think it’s a good change?
  6. Yes Chaddy they were always going to show PNE away with this new deal, that’s the entire point. The last deal they often didn’t - like last season.
  7. We laugh but them sensing Fleetwood away FOMO and thus a quick cash in was the main reason 1875 was brought in in the first place for the L1 season.
  8. Due to the collapse of the printed local press the LT is now hugely reliant for its survival on Rovers related clicks for online ad revenue. So it needs club access and to keep it onside so is therefore in reality now the media arm of the club, which is nice for Swqg considering the club has scrapped the radio station and programme. So don’t expect this club’s decent to be the subject of any objective/investigatory journalism.
  9. No chance we’d be breaking the 11 or 12k barrier just by extending the early bird to the end of July, the vast majority that wanted them at £350-£450 got them. Of course go through another couple of paydays and we’d have sold a few more. But not thousands more as it just isn’t an attractive entry price for another second division relegation battle with half the games on Sky. So perhaps 10k+ instead of crawling to 9 thousand and something.
  10. We’d have sold a few more if early bird had been extended but no way would we have been selling well over 11/12k at £350-£450 a pop, the phase 1 adult prices were still too dear regardless of time on sale.
  11. Ha, it’s why I’ve always written Sammie 😅
  12. Yep the ones running it. These owners have employed nothing but incompetents and arse lickers from day one and we see the results.
  13. Hate the people that have somehow ended up owning and running Blackburn Rovers, all this is so depressing because we love the club.
  14. They operate in the parameters these owners have set. So if they meet their arbitrary targets then what’s the issue? What the club was like in 2010 is irrelevant to them.
  15. Defo a L1 derby soon enough.
  16. And the response will be from the majority of the ground… ‘Err you do know there’s something called FFP, especially with our shit support. Just get behind ‘em FFS’.
  17. The days of a 3pm game at PNE are over.
  18. Dingles away now a Saturday 12.30 KO, PNE away noon on a Sunday 😩 And QPR at home one of *three* games all on Sky, all kicking off at 12.30 on the same Saturday. Great this TV deal, ain’t it.
  19. The way Test cricket is going maybe the last time we will ever see it.
  20. Alas you mostly (I say mostly as I thought Sharpe was good) get what you pay for. With the collapse of print in local journalism you get better wages in a call centre than being a local reporter these days.
  21. He’s ’Head of Consumer’, more heads rolling around Ewood than Deera Square.
  22. Another scoop there from a national, I’m sure the LT will be all over it…
  23. 14 years and they still haven’t filled it.
  24. I don’t get early bird generally, the product is the product. However it is commonplace around the game so it is what it is. What is ridiculous here is only four weeks for the early bird price (largely in June so not exactly early anyway) and then *two* price hikes - what possible rationale is behind phase 3 apart from actively trying to stop folk buying them in the run up to KO, a period where lots of fans are starting to get engaged again and signings are coming in (theoretically at least!), so you often get a late surge. Crackers like so much at this bizarre football club.
