  1. Fair play with the concession prices, however the issue is the headline figure - I.e adult prices, they have only marginally reduced so there will be no headline ‘wow they’re cheap’ like when Bolton and PNE overnight slashed prices. Boiling frog analogy and all that. It is hopefully enough to keep us pretty much where we were, but £25 off an adult ticket won’t see any noticeable spike.
  2. They aren’t sincere, not a chance in hell 4,000 people are actively Venky-boycotting - I’d say 400 sounds more plausible and that’s still being generous. But let’s pretend there is and that these 4,000 who haven’t been seen since PL football in 2011/12 and do all manner of other things now with their time and money will suddenly return to watch a midtable (at best) second division side if we got new owners tomorrow. Most of those that knocked it on the head as ST holders between 2010 and 2012 have gone and that’s that - doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other fans out there to target as fan bases evolve constantly.
  3. That podcast think ‘The Venky’s’ are marvellous so presumably it will be another episode in which they blow smoke up their collective arses.
  4. Such people exist in minuscule numbers. We lost not far off 10k fans between 2010 and 2012, most have long gone.
  5. No mention of in-store extra charges here… https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/one-week-go-202425-early-bird-season-tickets Or here… https://www.pnefc.net/news/2024/may/nothing-beats-matchday-202425-season-cards-on-sale/ Or here… https://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/news/2024/may/20/2024-25-season-tickets-on-sale-now-/
  6. They went up about 300 on the back of our best season in a decade and a slight price reduction, so scraping just over 9k instead of scraping just under it. So in reality they stayed static as they have for a decade. That will remain the case until we get back in the PL or there is a sizeable price reduction - and as we won’t get either under this calamitous regime they’ll stay static.
  7. Think RoversTillIDie is thinking of th’owden days where most folk didn’t bother with a ST and just rocked up at the gate - certainly not the case for the vast majority of match goers these days.
  8. The next Fans Forum is in July and no doubt he’ll be crowing again saying we are in for “*our best figures ever since time began* (time starting, of course, in 2012 as Rovers have always been like this, and Oceania has always been at war with East Asia). And he “wants to put on record our thanks to the owners for allowing this fantastic offer” (an offer that still has us an average £100 dearer than Bolton). Then in September’s FF he we state we have actually sold an amount in the standard range again between about 8k and 9.5k.
  9. There are no pre-ordained ‘levels’ it’s why pretty much half the PL last season was the likes of Brentford and Bournemouth and clubs like Leeds, Sheff Wed are still in the second division.
  10. No he’s miles off. 9,300 ST holders last season, between 2k (night game) and 3/4k (for a Saturday) walk-ons. For decades now this club has seen ST holders make up the vast majority of the crowd and that won’t change, so yes, as you say ST sales are vitally important.
  11. Doogs out of cold storage for the summer ST thread, welcome back!
  12. All pretty meaningless tallies until after phase 1 and the claim your own seat deadline as the seat map opens up. Crank up the @goozburger bat signal.
  13. Pretty bang on there, Matt 😅 https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24324375.blackburn-reveal-pre-season-details-friendlies-confirmed/
  14. Kompany himself (I’d say Alan Pace but he’s teetotal) must be a regular at his Ribble Valley soirées.
  15. Do I want them to fall down the leagues? Yes. Do I want to see their fans skriking as a result as we clamber back on to our east Lancs perch? Yes. But do I give a shit about some journeyman who played a game there in 2016 on loan? No.
  16. Likes of Trippier, yeah go for it. Some of the others it’s all a bit lame.
  17. If you say so, booing a bloke relentlessly for 90 minutes because he played down the road on loan for about 5 games a decade ago is all a bit small time to me… just like they always used to be.
  18. Made me laugh that one high profile poster wouldn’t even have a certain manager here because a top professional head coach from, err, Kettering is a ‘Dingle bastard’.
  19. I’m afraid the days of ‘I watched a game one week at Ewood, the following at Turf’ have long gone. NO1 with their seeming encyclopaedic knowledge of players will boo someone if they even drove past Burnley once on the M65.
  20. Thought Norwich and Watford no longer have parachutes?
  21. My apologies, I’ll edit ASAP
  22. Part timer. People should’ve been supporting their team and manager at Ewood Park.
