  1. Would you not think it is prudent to? Things can go south very quickly in football.
  2. Not sure what the point of that screen grab is in relation to this thread. Social media is more ‘positive’ than here, so? Fanbases everywhere are made up of all sorts. Ignore the noise and focus on the state of the club. We are at a hinge point in our history and to hear that the WATR board as of today still doesn’t want a change of ownership was striking. I had a very simple question that miller dodged, maybe the Chairman will answer it - do you have a Save our Club campaign ready to mobilise quickly post August 20th?
  3. We should realise now that Ewood will only KO organically, spontaneously however you want to describe it - largely on the back of a run of poor results. Last season was a prime example when out of nowhere dissent came out to Swag et al. We then got a new manager and it was all ‘let’s all pull together and stay up’. But that showed the ground will turn. This season will see poor results, and a lot of them. So we will see it again. Organised protests, walk outs, sit ins, don’t go ins etc etc are a waste of time and effort - poor results will do the work for you.
  4. Crawley is a lucky lad to be playing in the era he does. Forty six Tests with an average of just 32. Was the revolving door approach to the batting line up in the 90s the correct one? No, batsmen deserve a chance but surely 46 Tests is long enough to realise this fella will never be consistent and should have to fight for his place.
  5. Ok, I’ll leave it there, Miller, as we’ll end up going round in circles. All I would say is hopefully you will pivot very quickly into campaign mode (which was my original point) post an August 20th that actually led to something, as it doesn’t sound like you will be changing course otherwise.
  6. Now’s not the time for historical references, Herbie 😅
  7. I would bloody well hope so, because MOUs and the like mean the square route of feck all when the club has disappeared down the plug hole. If I can be frank you seem to have got lost in the thick forest of football governance, MOUs, ‘fan led reviews’ and the like and forgotten what you exist for and was indeed set up for back in the first dark age of this ownership - to ensure the survival of Blackburn Rovers.
  8. I used the prospectus as an example, an example of a very worthwhile endeavour, just like fan engagement, ticket pricing initiatives and all the rest of it. But those are for ‘simpler’ times for when a club just needs a bit of TLC and a steer from passionate volunteers - we have gone beyond that and right now surely, surely it’s time to get in to SOS or should I say Save Our Club mode? What on earth are you waiting for?
  9. Yes Miller we are upset because we fielded a weak team in a friendly. Have a read of the transfer thread. Rumours yes, but the jist being Gallagher following Sammie out the door and the owners preparing their exit. What I am after is a warm fuzzy feeling from WATR that there is a line and we are getting very close to it, where it stops being about being a ‘critical friend’ and marketing prospectuses and the like and if you have a plan for when you are looking to pivot to campaign mode to help save this football club.
  10. ‘Escalated a bit’ isn’t what you would say if a situation has improved.
  11. As ‘Phase 3’ commences (I.e. the phase where prices have been raised to such a ridiculous figure no fecker is actually going to buy one.
  12. ‘Rudy Gestede is an excellent appointment’ had me a click from cancelling my direct debit there and then.
  13. Shearer 1992 until 97 (his first injury at Newcastle, he changed his game to be more of a target man after that) was unreal, had the lot - anybody that thinks there has been a better goal scorer in that era can’t have seen much of him.
  14. Why wouldn’t there be interested parties?
  15. I take it the fence is soon to be clambered down from?
  16. Don’t agree, there are loads round me that still think the issue is our support, that we are a small club, not the owners.
  17. Yep, if he read that post out in most parts of Ewood he’d get a round of applause.
  18. League 1 to the PL in two seasons? Yeah think they may just have a bit of nous down there.
  19. ‘It doesn’t matter what we get for him as we won’t see a penny of it anyway’. Yeah the team won’t but the NI and leccy bills will get paid for an extra month or two, they may even be able to stretch to a power washer - so screw Ipswich for every penny!
  20. ‘A more senior look’… even the club socials know
  21. Fairly self explanatory, I thought, but here goes - Yes I am happy with good young loans, not so happy with shit ones
  22. ‘We’ve had good loans in the past’ answers that question.
  23. We’ve had good loans in the past, we’ve had a load of shite ones too - but as usual you missed the point. If we bring in five players and two of them are young loanees that is nowhere near enough and I think you know that.
