Just seen on twitter only 1400 sold before this batch went on sale. -
When you're not producing the best players in the world and haven't done for a very long time, you have to try something different to win test matches, or you ultimately get the same result. We need a change at grass roots level, a change to the county game, I agree with that, but we still need to win test matches. Now the bazball approach has failed in Oz, I’m hoping for something in between moving forward, we have the players who can adapt to both forms of the game, lets find that middle ground as we push towards a 2027 Ashes win in UK.

Not that it makes much difference, but I’d wager this wouldn’t have happened if Waggott was still here. -
Carse was very good in Melbourne, he’s played all 4 tests and the lad makes things happen. He has a knack of getting rid of Australia’s top order, not a bad knack to have in my book. His biggest strength right now? He’s fit and raring to go, as injuries hit us hard.

Yep. When the owners pay the bills every year to just about keep the lights on, the fans are nothing more than a distraction, a boil on the arse of the club, the owners don't need us, simple as that. -
So Hearts are top, you think Celtic are threatening and Rangers are not that far behind? Thats 3 teams isn’t it?

Just driven past Hillsborough, couldn’t see any tickets floating around sadly, but you can buy them in the home end. Just chatting to a Wednesday fan, his response: ‘It’s like they’re trying to piss the fans off’………Couldn't agree more. @K-Hod - If you are still involved, would you raise it please at the next forum? It would be interesting to get the clubs take on this. -
Spot on.

I’ve just watched one of the games of the season, the Edinburgh derby which Hibs finally won 3-2 against Hearts. Who says this league only has 2 teams.

I know we have more pressing issues than selling tickets for Sheffield Wednesday away, but it would be good if someone from Fans Forum could pick this up, or another supporters representative and ask why this ludicrous decision was made. -

The fact this was our first win in Australia since 2014 is little reward in a test that was frankly a farce. But it does point towards how bad things we were before the current regime took over. I've got several mates who have flown out for day 3, I don't know whether to laugh or cry, all that money and the tests over......Cricket Australia have some answers to come up with, 94,000 sell out on day 3 and that money will be returned, some heads may roll for that one.

Well, after yesterdays unplayable wicket it’s anyone’s test match this. Come on England.

I noticed Hull sold the entire away end out today, top and bottom tiers. -
I seem to recall the last time we played in Melbourne it was much the same? We were bowled out for around 70 and lost the test in 3 days. Its clearly not a wicket that should be anywhere near a test match.
-
Come on England, plenty still to play for. We won the toss and have put the Aussies in.

The boycotts at Hillsborough worked a treat, it was that effective the club couldn't deny it happening. Grimsby and Boro had more fans in the ground than Wednesday did, it made national news. Our game against Millwall on SKY mentioned the dwindling crowds in commentry, its plan to see, nobody needs offical figures.

Apparently not, only £60 a ticket 🤣

Both clubs need the money, but stop fans buying tickets? The mind boggles. -
They are Playing Halifax next year, but I doubt they’ll be playing this one.

With no Archer for the rest of the series its going to be tough for this group. Even with the Ashes gone, I was still looking forward to the cricket remaining, we have something to prove, but with Archer out we will struggle. The last 4yrs have been superb on the test front, if more than a little unorthodox and frustrating at times. I like the fact we’ve had the balls to try something different, broken records all over the place and won test matches, after all that was the plan after the Root era where English cricket was on its arse, 17-2 and all that. If this piss up and stag doo proves to be nothing more than the press making mischief, I’d stick with the current setup. They will have learnt so much on this tour, we need some middle ground and I think we’ll get it.

Glad I bought 5 last night, I wasn’t aware of this ludicrous decision. I remember when this kind of thing was all we had to moan about, how times change….. VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS -
I’m told this is the official programme of last Football League match played on Christmas Day in England (1965) @Tyrone Shoelaces Over to you pal 👍
