  1. Hope you're well my friend 👍 We overlapped BBD with Sammi, paid almost £2m and it paid off, we aren't paying £2m now to replace Sammi, Ennis didn't pay off which was a signing of similar ilk. Now we are looking for free transfers with no goal scoring pedigree, big difference. But where I will concede, is despite reservations every time a goalscorer has walked out of the club, we seem to have found another, but that usually comes with a few quid being spent, not sure we have that few quid these days.
  2. Every manager in the country will tell you that you don't win games if you don't score goals and the hardest position to fill is the goal scoring position. Maybe thats lazy opinion too.....
  3. Disgusting Abbey, it really is.
  4. Really?! Over 40 goals from last season are walking through the door before the season starts, what have we replaced them with? That alone should ring alarms bells and I could go on. Its amazing what a few signings can do, but are these players really any good? Why are they coming to a mid table Championship club that doesn't pay very well? I hope I'm wrong, of course I do, but I'm worried, very worried indeed as we are much weaker than last season, no doubt about that.
  5. Couldn't agree more, he's a decent Championship full back who is encouraged to push on, its up to his team mates to cover his postion. Spot on Hasta, we have no ambition on or off the field.
  6. Lets have a Friday afternoon banger:
  7. Chisora wants to get to 50 fights, so 2 more for Derek I would imagine But yes tomphil, a proper old school dust up, I loved every minute of it, if he fights in Manchester next I may go, he deserves the support.
  8. Absolutely spot on Herbie. Like it or not, Waggott is the best CEO we've had since this lot bought the club and forced John Williams out. He has no mandate to increase attendances, he has no mandate to grow the club, he's given financial targets knowing his bosses will write cheques each year to keep the lights on, thats it. The owners encourage mediocrity, employ mediocrity and get mediocrity. Venkys out - Nothing else matters. Ps - Just a word on Mike who seems to be getting a kicking for dedicating his time to try and bring about change. Top guy, I know him personally, he has 1 agenda, Blackburn Rovers and its future.
  9. Mate of mine just sold a Model 3 performance for £18k. Blistering pace, £17 for 260 miles charge and no maintenance costs to speak of. Tesla is the way to go if you can get into one, even an older model.
  10. That changing room door needs a lick of paint Waggot.
  11. What is Eyal Berkovic doing these days? He was excellent for us in our promotion season 2001. Replaced by........Tugay once we went up, whats Tugay doing these days? Lets get Shearer back....... I'll get my coat.
  12. If its contractual I get it, if he wants to leave I get that too, but any other decision seems daft to me, especially when you look at the market we are operating in.
  13. Hyam had a poor season last season, but so did every member of the playing side, Sammi aside of course. The season before he was player of the year! Getting rid of a player that showed the quality he did in his first season would be silly in my opinion, especially when his direct replacements are Batth or McFadzean, I'd much rather have 28yrs old Hyam!
  14. If you’re up against us for Championship talent your ambition must be to avoid relegation, because that’s about the height of our ambition!
  15. I've still not managed to watch it, they've made season 3 since i wrote the above! Have you watched them all K-Hod?
  16. Absolutely. He's a West Ham season ticket holder and fan, but £20m? No chance.
  17. New Tv deal, bollox to the fans....... Four more Rovers games have been altered, with two particularly inconvenient changes, including away games at Watford and Cardiff City. Rovers' trip to Watford on October 26 is now a 12:30pm kick-off, as is their visit to South Wales on November 9. Home matches have been moved to the early Saturday TV slot as well. Sheffield United and burnley will now kick off at 12:30pm at Ewood Park, on November 2 and January 4, respectively.
  18. We almost went down due to mismanagement of the club by your mates in Pune. Anyway he's leaving, good luck to him I say, he's been a good servant for the club.
  19. Probably because he was injured......🙄
  20. First game that springs to mind is Leicester away in FA Cup, not only was Gallagher outstanding on the night so was Dolan. You do know that all the stats show we are a much better side with Gallagher in it, points totals are way up when he plays, why do you think that is?
  21. Alan Shearer left us in the summer of 1996 Rev.....
  22. I know I've joked a few times that your seat at Ewood doesn't face the pitch, now I'm absolutely convinvced it doesn't. Sam Gallagher can be accused of many things, most of them posters have acknowledged in this thread, but to say he has no work ethic is simply not true.
  23. Gallagher has been one of the first names on the team sheet for every manager he has played under at Ewood, don't underestimate his importance to this team, his work ethic and over 170 games for the club, if he scored more goals he'd be playing at a much higher level. I will miss Sam Gallagher in a Rovers shirt because the lad may well be limited in the goal department, he may well be injury prone these days, but he runs his bollox off for the shirt and as a fan I can ask for nothing more than that if the manager of the day picks him.
  24. Just spat my brew out, very good Forever Blue (BB) 🤣
