The Summer Transfer Window (Press Submit)
J*B replied to RoversClitheroe's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
What do you mean, “measly budget”? We’ve just sold 40M of players and Rovers have confirmed in writing that we have no funding issues. I’m expecting us to spend close to 25M improving both the first 11 and the squad by the end of the window. -

I’m not sure any other club in the league would have a long term, points losing problem position and think: “a 12 month loan will solve this”. Especially a club with as per todays statement, has no issues with funding and has secured 40M in transfer fees in the last 12 months. -

Loving the idea of signing this Ryo on a three year deal simply due to his half Japanese, half Brazilian heritage. In normal circumstances I’d say I’m glad you lot are not in charge, but I’m not convinced Waggott thinks in much more detail either. -

Its much appreciated. The reality here like you say its BRFCS is essentially acting as a forum for people to discuss and speculate on what may or may not happen. Seemingly fans on Facebook and (in the most part) Twitter are either unwilling to discuss or the platform by design doesn't allow them to discuss in detail. So this is the only place to get any sort of quantifiable speculation and hypothesis. -

We’re all off track on this one Den. Unless someone’s going to chirp up as a specialist in international law it’s all hearsay. I’ve heard rumours in the past couple of hours about a club statement on the matter - whether that’s official or through The Trust / Fans Forum I don’t care, but clarification needs to be sought. Ultimately, the proof will be in the pudding. If we’re not significantly strengthening with cash signings this summer and retaining what is left of our best players then we will know. -

Nobody knows! Well, someone must do. But we're here to speculate and i'm going to speculate with: Yes, but its a fucking pain in the arse and expensive. -

If the judge managed 16 cases today before walking out for another commitment and we where item number 36, what happens next time if he does another 16 cases before calling it a day i.e. gets to number 32? Another delay, you would assume? Would love to hear the @RoversTrust ask this question, in addition to a question on the 98% successful prosecution rate if @phili can source it. -

Whilst I don't doubt this, can we get a fact-check on this? Can you provide a source? -

One-hundred percent, its fantastic. I spent hours watching the wrong court case, including a pretty heated discussion about the number of computers in a nursery school. -

Did you post the link of the right one, or the wrong one which I sat through for hours for no reason? -

Some cases seem to be super quick. The lawyer thats on now seems to be very professional and well prepared. -

Do the right thing and force them to sell us, Mr Sanjeev Narula. You can have the keys to Blackburn in return. -
Worth noting, whilst I agree you've got a fantastic player - and importantly, person - you where the only club in world football that bid the asking price for him. So whilst I agree with the sentiment, to say the fee is 'derisory' simply doesn't make sense. If it was a derisory fee then we'd have been batting off bids.

The excuse, I would hypothesise, is if they lose the court case on Tuesday or the same restrictions remain, the money generated will cover us until the next appeal ergo can't be spent.
