  1. I... can’t work out if you’re serious or not?
  2. Whilst this is great, this thread it strictly for discussion about the QPR game or Wine recommendations. Please create your own thread for Cider! 😉
  3. Tohu it is, thanks for the recommendation @Silasbut in the spirit of things I’ll be going for the Mercer recommendation. Photo plus review to follow tomorrow evening.
  4. I’m so pissed off with this teams consistent failings when it comes to the top six. I could write a long post trying to emphasis the point but at this stage, I’m with StevenSK, I realise it’s pointless and instead should turn this into #MercersWineClub. @MercerI’m looking for a white to go with sea bass tomorrow evening, maximum budget £20, typically stay in the NZ Sauvignon territory. I’ll be buying from Whalley Wine Shop, so ideally something they will have it stock.
  5. Anyone else worried sick we’re going to do that 3-5-2 that we know doesn’t work tomorrow?
  6. I think Douglas has already agreed a 1 year deal after his contract ends. Douglas is a very good left back, he’s just had a rough start. It doesn’t help that he gets very little defensive protection.
  7. He’s been a mainstay in two promotion winning defences and has either played PL football or played for teams in/around the top 6 in the Championship. Ayala is a superb defender, he’s just got a dreadful injury record.
  8. It makes sense because it plugs a gap. Come the end of the season we will have Williams wage to find a replacement, plus Wharton back from injury. We don’t need an expensive loan signing (Kipre) because Braithwaite and Lenihan are looking good together plus we have Ayala — who when not injured — is one of the best CBs in the league. We need cover to get us until the end of the season and the difference in wage between HB and Kipre will give us money for Pickering. I like it. Great use of the budget from TM.
  9. Kipre a 50/50 between us and PNE according to SSN.
  10. Congratulations to TM on a fruitful January, really got some results when we needed them both. I’m not bothered about performances, we won 1-0 and if we could replicate the performance and result every week I would be ecstatic. Now we’re in touching distance let’s hope we can break the glass ceiling. Bournemouth will come good, they’ve got some great players, so we need to match or better Readings results every week to break into the top 6.
  11. It’s fair to say it’s quite the effort to make these podcasts, then?
  12. Ah, yes. I see the issue. As I understand it, we need it in this format for SEO. I’ll ask if there’s a middle ground we can look at.
  13. Sorry, what is the tab you’re referring to? Can you upload a screen shot?
  14. I know I’m always on at him and I wish I wasn’t, but Buckley is doing absolutely nothing here. Unless he gets a hold of the game we’re playing a midfield three and not one of them is attacking.
  15. I’ve never agreed with you so many times before! I also found Chaddy’s tipping point reference very funny!
  16. I’ve no idea how true this is, but someone once told me the pitch drains into storage which is pumped into the brook behind the Riverside and they have a problem emptying into the brook if it’s too high? Anyone else ever heard that story?
  17. Rotate first eleven indeed.
  18. Chasing is the key word, Chaddy. As in, hunting down. Competing to a high standard against teams in and around the top 6. Challenging sides in the top 2, 3, maybe even taking points away from them. Playing professional sport on the same pitch and not being blown away by their superior quality from the get go. Unfortunately, the only teams we’re capable of looking competent against are those at the bottom of the league—teams closer to league 1 standard than top 6 championship standards.
  19. For me, it’s because the one thing we do not have is time. Next season we will not have Harvey Elliott. We might not have Adam Armstrong. Ryan Nyambe, Lewis Holtby and Joe Rothwell will have either left, renewed their deals... or be in the final year of contract. FFP works in cycles. We’re at the end of the cycle, we won’t have money to spend even if the owners gave it to us. Everything has been building up to this moment. I honestly think the side which has been assembled is an automatic chasing side, never mind a top six chasing side. And we’ve blown it. So the squad will get decimated - a combination of FFP and individual success will mean we are back at the start.
  20. No it’s not — I have family in the sport, 10% of the transfer fee is standard.
  21. Mines from TransferMarkt: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/blackburn-rovers/alletransfers/verein/164 That figure will include all bonuses, agents fees and signing on fees. A signing on fee is usually 10% of the transfer fee to start with. TransferMarkt is very good, it’s usually taken from official club data when the accounts are released.
  22. Cole was 10.98m. That figure excludes wages.
