  2. He is who you think he is!
  3. We’re usually invited to Fans Forum and Supporter Consultation Meetings and haven’t heard of either being arranged.
  4. There is indeed a review scheduled for the May, but that’s always the case. Knowing our luck we will win all our remaining fixtures and finish 11th or something.
  5. Nick there’s absolutely nothing I have said to you in private messages that I wouldn’t say on this thread. Your post makes it out like we have some sort exclusive private messages going around that other people cannot know about - that’s simply not true.
  6. I’m not boycotting like I once was. I said this earlier. I’ve gone through all different stages - refused to buy a season ticket, away cash only games (Rovers don’t get anything when it’s cash only), away games only, only go to home games if the ticket is already paid for. I’m now at ‘will buy game tickets home and away when suits, but won’t buy a season ticket’. I’m not buying a season ticket until there’s something I can get behind. I don’t care if that’s League 1 with Gareth Ainsworth. In fact I’d rather that than Premier League with Steve Kean. Until I feel a connection to the players on the pitch and the approach from the club I’m not handing over ST money. I’d love to be an Accy fan - I really like that they’re doing, alas I’m not.
  7. The problem I’ve always found is that Venkys feel taken advantage of and that’s the memo. If we drive Pasha out we’re not going to help with that. We’re just making it even harder for them. This is all my opinion of course - but I personally think the only way out of this is to work with Suhail and gain Venkys trust as fans. The absolute worst thing you can do is email them/phone them/WhatsApp them saying “Waggott, Mowbray and Cheston are all rubbish, they’re not to be trusted, I know people that can do their job better” or similar. They’ll never trust a word you say and you’ll be forever branded as someone trying to take advantage.
  8. Last time I looked Venkys personal bodyguards still used this forum to assess opinion. I’d start there 🙂
  9. There really isn’t much to say that hasn’t been said. He’s a nice enough guy for what it’s worth. Obviously knew very little about football originally but understands it more now. Wants the club to do well, wants to protect the owners, doesn't want any limelight, doesn’t trust many. All of these people are here because it’s a job. One of the hardest things for fans to get around is that this is just work to them, there isn’t the level of passion that the fans have.
  10. This is a discussion forum, if it isn’t the place for tip offs I don’t know what is. The place is built on tip offs! I’m totally bemused as to what you’re getting at, if it makes it easier I’m happy to share every single private message we’ve ever had? I’ll do a summary if easier..?
  11. Yes I’ve protested/boycotted in different capacities since Kean. I think it’s achieved plenty - I’d like to think I played a small role (like all other protesters) in Kean walking, I’ve sat through meetings with members of the Rovers boards offering opinions, strangely I was once consulted on transfer business one season, I’ve spoken to Waggot and Pasha about the club and how I feel about it. I don’t think any of that would have happened if I hadn’t been involved in protests. As with every post I’ve ever made in here, it comes with a caveat that I post what people tell me. Not everyone - but if I think it sounds plausible, I post it. Some turn out to be right (latest one Dani Ayala), some turn out to be wrong. That’s the way it goes - but I’ll always post what I’m tipped off with. I’ve absolutely no idea what your last sentence means.
  12. I would say I’m still boycotting in some capacity yes.
  13. I thought you had Chaddy on ignore?
  14. Here’s a message I received from a club employee this afternoon. I can’t guarantee it’s authenticity, so it’s shared with that caveat: “If you think something stinks with this training ground stuff... you’re not alone. Long game... club to move out of Brockhall completely. This isn’t a baseless opinion. Steve vaguely mentioned it in a meeting. He’s got a big gob. ‘Blackburn with Darwen would love us there’ where his words.”
  15. I often produce campaigns for other clubs - I won’t name them since I’m talking finance, but 24K is peanuts in comparison to what they spend on kit launches. The suggestion I made was for stills and film content... and certainly wouldn’t be basic. Basic is pointless in advertising.
  16. Probably not £70. Let’s assume the shirt is £50 and Rovers make 40% profit on that - so they earn £20 per shirt sold. Let’s say a basic shoot costs 24K including VAT. I’m essentially gambling that I can create a piece of content that sells 2,400 additional shirts. Anything less than that I have lost money. If it only sold 1,000 extra shirts, Rovers would have made £10,000 and I would have lost £14,000.
  17. Prior to Christmas I privately offered someone at Rovers a one day studio shoot for Rovers to launch this seasons kit. They provide the players and kit, I provide the creative, studio space, crew, camera gear, lighting and post production free of charge. Zero cost to Rovers. That offer was based on a 50/50 profit share for every additional shirt sold next season compared to this season. Worst case scenario it cost them nothing, best case scenario they made money. They said they’d consider it and come back to me. They never came back. Offer still stands, if you’re reading.
  18. Yeah that’s what I’m saying. They drag on then suddenly it all changes. This 3pm thing has been doing the rounds since this morning. I think if he being fired he would have gone by now, rather than a 3pm statement. But like I said, I don’t know. If he was walking/resigning I can see why it would be a set time.
  19. I’ve heard nothing. And when I look back through history, Venkys seem to make quick decisions. I can’t think of another example where there’s a rumour prior to a significant announcement.
  20. If I did say it was ‘supporters fault’ (I honestly haven’t checked so don’t know) then I’ll retract that - you’re right, it’s no supporters fault. The statement I was trying to make was that there was warning signs of this early - and I, like many others, where told in a round about way, to get behind the team. I’m not suggesting protesting after we’ve come second in league one, that would be insanity, but for me the mindset should have been ‘why did you only finish second, with the biggest budget ever seen in the league’ and explicitly ‘why did you play a weakened time in the final games?’. For me, the mindset was wrong then and it has been ever since. For too long this club has been on easy street - right down to really small things, like removing the history in photographs from the walls at Ewood. The clubs fan base is fractured, in part I admit saying fans have played a part in this latest slump I am adding to that. We desperately need someone that we can get behind but the key for me is someone that will not accept a mid table championship mindset. I would much rather watch an ambitious club that falls short than this dross. Ultimately I’m not sure I’ve answered your questions here, so I’ll try and condense it into a sentence. In a list of who has got us into this mess, there’s plenty ahead of ‘the fans’ - but for me, Rovers fans have a willingness to roll over and accept substandard, anyone that doesn’t is told they’re not helping - and I desperately think that needs to change.
  21. I got pelters for saying the same thing on Twitter. You can support the club by demanding change when there’s warning signs. Support isn’t exclusively positivity.
  22. The only chance of a ‘name’ signing this is if they have zero interest in ever returning to football. Most won’t want to harm a potential future pay cheque.
  23. I’ve absolutely no idea what you’re talking about at this point and I’m astonished if anyone else does. What is this meant to mean? We can draw Liverpool in the cup? We can put an advert in the Telegraph? It’s a total mystery and personally I think you’d do better if you stopped the riddles.
  24. This is a forum. The entire concept is to discuss, if you don’t like that you’re free to not use it. As far as I’m aware, as yet, nobody has put together any constructive opposition to the training ground fiasco. Obviously I have no idea what people are doing privately, but there’s nothing public.
  25. I don’t think you need to even bother discrediting the plans. They discredit themselves. You’re assuming that the people behind this genuinely think it’s an improvement to cram two well functioning sites into one too-small site. Nobody involved in this can possibly think it’s beneficial, IMO.
