  1. Wow - I don't think we've ever used this graphic before?!
  2. Hate to sound all Mercery, but I couldn’t believe Hull where 3/1 today.
  3. I’d go totally bonkers at this point because I really don’t rate any of our wingers. Might be a bit too Pep, but what about… Pears (haven’t seen Leo yet) JRC Carter Hyam Pickering Travis Tronstad Wharton Buckley Szmodics Ennis
  4. We can set you up a private sub section on here if you’d rather.
  5. Can someone do a poll for how many fuck ups Pears will make before JDT puts him back on the bench?
  6. … you’ve missed your chance, because voting has closed, congrats big Dom!
  7. I admire the optimism, Eddie. Myself, @K-Hod and the rest of the mod team will make sure this thread stays on topic.
  8. Adam’s just sort of wandering about, looking half arsed… the ball seems to be wherever he is, he wins it, takes it past one or two and passes it forward. It’s such a gift.
  9. We all know this but I’m repeating to anyway. Between Dolan, Markanday and Leonard there isn’t any physical threat. No trouble for a defence the size of this WBA one.
  10. I can’t be arsed writing all my thoughts after watching the Waggott interviews today as I’ll only wind myself up even further. But Steve, you mentioned on your BBC Lancs interview reading “the boards”. I’ll assume that’s this one, so here’s a message to you: I’m sure you’re working really hard and feel like you’re doing good work for your bosses. They’ve obviously put challenges in front of you. The way you’ve reacted to those challenges, the decisions you’ve made, the standards which you are setting are - in my humble opinion - nowhere near good enough. You have now put on record the expectation is to avoid relegation from the second tier. Success is judged “in different ways”. Disheartening but not surprising. Jack Walker and later, John Williams, would have had you out on day one. That said, I hope you can leave this club by achieving some good, encouraging and negotiating the sale of the club to someone with either more ambition or higher standards.
  11. I'm not convinced at all the Spence is the same person he was prior to his car crash(es). Nevermind the same fighter.
  12. I doubt it, Bet365 own Stoke City, they won't give a team in the same division with very little marketing exposure any advantages.
  13. J*B refuses to be in the team photo with Steve until the manager is backed 💥
  14. He isn’t writing him off Chaddy. He clearly said he was disappointed with how slow he was… then followed it up with a positive.
  15. Sounds like what we all knew - if you try and create an atmosphere and event worth spending money on, Rovers fans will turn up.
  16. Last I heard BRFCS and RoversChat were doing the post match interviews… so god knows.
  17. Not really. In my opinion. The budget has been cut by the owners, he had a meeting with JDT this morning, we have plenty of youngsters that will get opportunities - nobody rated JRC and Pears before they got their chance and they’ve shown they’re good players.
  18. He was speaking to plenty of fans when he arrived at 12-noon.
  19. You can post links here for friendlies.
  20. One for @Miller11 I suspect, it isn't a number BRFCS has suggested
  21. I'd like to think with the right promotion, notice and funding WATR/BRFCS/RoversChat and others could get 10,000 over the line for a friendly. Eventually. That would be a real statement. I'd be more than happy with 5,000 for this one, but it'll need a huge promotion from all involved and local media.
  22. 5,000 the target... we need @goozburger to track! BRFCS bought 45 tickets this morning.
  23. This is why typically your aged 40 year old fan goes bonkers and says things like “this isn’t good enough, it’s a disgrace, Waggott Out!” and your average 20 year old fan says things like “we don’t have money, what where you expecting, 9,000 STs is good!”
  24. Let's stop talking about 'deserve' and instead talk about 'standards'. Pre-Jack we where in many ways, similar to Blackpool, Bolton, PNE, Burnley. A Northern Town football club. There's varying levels of history/success, but in principle we represented fans with in the most part the same attitudes and beliefs. Then Jack bought the club and as a successful but importantly - local - man, raised the standards whilst retaining the same attitudes and beliefs. He spoke about "Think Big" - thats very clever wording, it means retain everything that you know and believe but increase the standards. He didn't talk about a new culture or identity because as local man, despite being a multi-millionaire he was 'one of us'. This set a new benchmark for what Blackburn Rovers is and should be. When Jack passed, the values, ethics, beliefs didn't change. We where still a family club, that still developed local talent, that still created local infrastructure and still employed local people. During Venkys ownership, its the standards that have dropped. The things that Rovers fans have become accustomed to, had expected, the "Think Big" mindset was removed. Examples being... The training ground needed significant investment as it was due to lose the A-class rating. The ground is deteriorating. The pitch hasn't been replaced. The UK first club radio station has been closed. The RoversTV offering has dropped. The programme has been stopped. etc etc. What do Rovers deserve? Well, we don't necessarily 'deserve' anything. There's no god given right. But the standards have significantly dropped and thats where the confusion starts, because the club that Venkys, Pasha and Waggott are running doesn't accurately reflect standards that fans that remember Jack Walker have become accustomed to as the 'minimum' standard.
