  1. down to the umpire to make the correct decision there and if they don't make the right decision there then the fielding side can appeal to the 3rd Umpire. Also it complete different situation the Bairstow dismissal You are trying to mix in every type of dismissal here
  2. Hodgson appointed manager for 23/24 season - News - Crystal Palace F.C. (cpfc.co.uk)
  3. Spirit of Cricket | MCC (lords.org)
  4. Geoffrey Boycott calls for Australia to issue public apology over Jonny Bairstow wicket Geoffrey Boycott calls for Australia to issue public apology over Jonny Bairstow wicket (msn.com) Ben Stokes would not take a win in that manner https://www.msn.com/en-gb/video/sport/ben-stokes-says-he-would-not-take-a-win-‘in-that-manner’-after-lord’s-controversy/vi-AA1dmfSh?ocid=msedgntp&t=0
  5. Its come back to spirit of the game and that if you watch the TV coverage Both umpires starting moving and it looks it was over. Neither umpire was watching the play and that's why it had to the refer the 3rd umpire. He made his decision based on the footage he watched which was technical the right decision but was it within the spirit of the game, not for me. That the problem, no doubt we see more of this sort of stuff during the rest of the test series
  6. Don't Marcon pay a fee for them to supply us the kits? it will be unveil later this week in time for the first game of the pre season on Saturday against Stanley
  7. Looking like 9,000 Season Ticket holders for the first game of the season against WBA
  8. I also wonder that. Plus Luton are interested aswell
  9. Thanks for explaining the De Grandhomme dismissal that Ewood Ace mentioned. I couldn't remember it to be honest. Bumble knows the game and the rules. He is spot on that Starc's catch was grounded. simple as that Starc clearly grounded the ball, end of story. 3rd umpire said it wasn't out
  10. It was a test match according to the ICC.
  11. Root, Duckett, Stokes and Broad all get that team easily. Anderson might have done but not based on series performances We lost 3 in a row? We beat Ireland didn't we? On trial? Let's just ignore everything and only focus on the Ashes series then? On Bazball? If you listen to Stokes and McCullum post match interviews you would properly understand what Stokes and McCullum are asking the players to do. Clearly you do. They have clarity on backing whatever approach each batsman wants to adapt. The game was there for the Win and under Stokes we will always go for the win. Saved the game? What a boring approach to cricket that would have been to today target. About 250 runs to chase on a full day play. Really?
  12. oh well thanks for the reply 👍 Of course I don't like losing but as McCullum has just said now on Sky Sports that we aren't far away at all and I agree with him. England will come back and I would make a a couple of changes. Yes England didn't bowl well enough in those conditions but Smith innings weren't outstanding like Stokes was. I would make 2 changes for the next test Wood and Ali in for Robinson and Anderson. All runs matters don't there? of course they do. Stokes and his players need to be abit more smarter with some shot selection decisions.
  13. We have played well at times and I would expect the to carry on playing the same way. it isn't McCullum who has told them to play there. Did you listen to what Stokes said at the post match interview with Mike Atherton? Him, McCullum and the rest of the coaches about given the players absolute clarity of how they want to play. Its down to how each player wants to play I would say they were others who deserved that Man of the match award likes Stokes, Tongue, Starc. The crowd are more than right to make their views known to these cheats
  14. 😂😂🤣 England shown plenty of fight today. what are going on about. Stokes should remain Captain and McCullum as head coach regardless of the Ashes results. Your approach is outdated and reminds me of the 80's and 90's with mental decision making
  15. sadly not the result we want but Stokes's innings was fantastic. Onwards to the next test. Would like a couple of changes but alot depends on pitch and weather conditions firstly
  16. Gutless. Typical MCC. Yes and cause himself more time out of the game.
  17. Fair enough. I like Cricket but Rovers is first in my list Every company is different but generally your bosses will want some notice. granted unless the circumstances are urgency that you need the time off. I tend to book the baulk of my holidays at the start of the year so they know when I would be off but it always the same weeks of majority of the time.
  18. I think England will win this. They are clowns and they get what they deserved. Cummins should have withdraw the appeal but didn't. classless
  19. Said yesterday that they only had 3 man bowling attack without Lyon. Only 128 runs needed to win with Stokes in form. What do we think now?
  20. don't remember it but I stand that both Umpires look away and doing other things so that's why I think the ball was dead.
  21. Stokes's hundred already. They woke him up now. Go on Stokesy
  22. Typical Australia again. Both umpires weren't even looking. Not in the spirit of the game. Look like that woke Stokes up now. They annoyed him for sure. Has Cummins just drop the win there?
  23. Duckett should have left it. too night. Anything above shoulder high leave. Twice now he done it
  24. I ain't going to Austria to watch it sadly. I will be at home following it there
  25. Time for Stokes to bat England to the win. looking forward to day 5 now and hopefully we get that win now.
