  1. I would say centre midfield with Travis and either Wharton or Garrett.
  2. I'm surprised that Gareth Ainsworth hasn't had more of instant impact at QPR since taking over
  3. I wouldn't play that formation. I would play 4-2-3-1 formation which suits our squad and players. Its the formation that the problem but the players playing a quick tempo and having plenty of movements which they didn't for large periods of the game yesterday
  4. and your team you picked you dropped Szmodics who was our best player yesterday. He worked hard, plenty of effort and passion from him and made some good runs.
  5. We have seen in the last 2 months and other times that these players can play the way JDT wants. Yes I know about how we play and used JRC and CM's like City and others teams do and I don't think complicated system at all but just need players understand and working on it in training which we clearly do. I think JDT has been very good this season. onwards and upwards for me.
  6. I don't think either performances was bad as we seen early in the season but no way near our best. is Leonard ready to start? have you seen alot of him or is this just a totally guess by yourself? Szmodics was given plenty of effort and commits whilst others looked shattered. Yet again its comes back to the tempo and movement lacking which is down to the players taking that responsibility to play as they should.
  7. Josh, Thanks for sharing what you know and it was very understanding that you bumped into these people and have conservations with them Why are not acceptable what Josh has said? what reasons has he got to lie to us? Josh lives in the Ribble Valley and given that number of players and club staff lives within that area he will see them and speak to them. I sometimes spend time at different food outlets in that area(mainly pre covid) and he will plenty of them out and about. People asked question and players will give honest answers to Rovers fans and people. Paul was open and honest to post that conservation. Yes he should why are dropping Szmodics when he was the best player on the pitch yesterday?
  8. I just don't understand how many people are so negative and lack of confidence about our playoffs hopes given the results we have this season and 2 good cup runs plus some of the football we played has been quality. They will be loads of twists and turns yet people have already written JDT and the players already. We need get behind the players and cheers them on and back the players and JDT
  9. I don't understand why you haven't got a better opinion of JDT cos I think he has produced results and have us top 6 most of the season and played some very good football at times and 2 good cup runs. Yes when we slow the tempo down and lack of movement we look awful but its time the players took the responsible for the on pitch performance cos they know that wasn't good enough yesterday. I read an article on the athletic website by Alan Shearer who was talking about Players taking responsible for on the pitch performances instead of using excuses. I think our players should accept their responsibilities for yesterday and come back much improved and play much better. I can accept defeat if we played well and got beat by the better team but we didn't performed well enough yesterday The paperwork the EFL requested wasn't needed as that situation would never happened. That's isn't Rovers fault. Gregg Broughton did give more detail and here is the article. Blackburn Rovers DoF goes into detail over failed Lewis O'Brien move | Lancashire Telegraph Sacking JDT who has had in promotion and playoff places most of the season is totally clueless and no surprised to see you back here now saying this. The Burnley game is one game and it seems to matters more that one game result then the entire season results which has where we are in the league.
  10. why are we dropping Pears when he wasn't at fault for either goal? He was right not to come out for the first goal cos he wouldn't got there in time anyway. Second goal no chance with that shot
  11. Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor sacked by Blackpool. McCarthy's comments in the statement said he knew his time was up. They put Stephen Dobbie in charge for rest of the season. Look like they have accept relegation It was good game from what I watched of it
  12. His performance was better than BBD today. BBD was shattered after about 10 mins today. if we had another striker and Thomas then I would replace BBD and Gallagher but we don't
  13. Yes. If we had another striker and Thomas available then they would replace Gallagher and BBD
  14. well Chelsea have made their decision and lets see how it works out.
  15. Pears Britain Carter Hyam Pickering Travis Wharton Dolan Szmodics BBD Gallagher Subs:- Kaminski, JRC, Edun, Wharton, Garrett, Hedges, Leonard
  16. players like Kepa, Mendy, James, Silva, Azpilicueta, Chilwell, Mount, Kante, Chalobah, Kovacic, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Ziyech, Havertz and Gallagher were all there when Lampard was last there Lampard has his own staff and since the takeover, Bohely and his leadership team has had massive cull there and brought in his staff whether in the Medical team or groundman staff or in the executive staff If you read reports from the time he was sacked, they were saying cos he didn't the best out of players like Timo Werner who is no longer there. Players like James, Mount, Silva deffo played very well under Lampard
  17. what a disappointing performance today. I didn't like the starting line up cos I wouldn't have started Hedges or Morton today. Thomas and Garrett or Wharton should have played today. We never started the first half and it was poor performance from us. Only one piece of good play from us in the entire first half which our performance was slow tempo and no urgency to move the ball quickly and no movement again which when we perform like this we don't performed. Hedges and BBD coming deep and no one running in behind from wide areas. The goal come from them exposing the space JRC left when he moves into Midfield as JDT like him to play. Same with their second goal btw. No team press which was disappointing cos Gallagher and Szmodics went to press and the rest of the team didn't. So at half time I expect JDT to make at least one change if not 2 for me. We need Thomas on to run in behind and Someone to replace Morton who was very poor today, but no changes which surprised me. Second half, it was similar for large parts of the game until the subs came on apart from Szmodics who makes some good runs and work very hard. Our best player today for me. We got in some good areas but final ball was poor overall. We did have two chances off the line and we should have scored both to be honest but the overall performance wasn't good enough. Gallagher allowed the a good through ball to run across him instead of finishing it with right side foot effort or left foot effort. Brereton Diaz looked shattered after 10 mins and you have to asked why didn't he get sub at all. Hyam, JRC, Travis and Hedges had poor games. Carter and Pickering decent. Pears not at fault for either goal and his overall performance was good. I still believe that Rovers will make the playoffs and I won't write our playoffs hopes off. They will more twists and turns before end of the season. We need to win the next game and that is Huddersfield away. So I would like to see these changes, Britain for JRC, Wharton for Morton and Dolan for Hedges, I would have picked Thomas aswell but he is unavailable due his parent club. Well done to the over 16k Rovers fans who attend today game. JDT's Blue and White Army 🔵⚪
  18. I think Rodgers would be decent option given he plays attacking football and that is why Spurs fans want. Spurs fans complained about Conte's tactics and not playing the style they want to watch. But Spurs have massive problems with what they do with Sporting Director and whether his ban will still be in place come the summer. I still think Spurs should be looking at Pochettino or Nagelsmann who Spurs have been previously interested in before previous appointments.
  19. Hilton is 23 years old and given that he has signed 2 year contract here will surely meant he will be number 2 next season if we are the championship next season. or number 3 if we reach the PL. We haven't just given our number 3 or 4 choice keepers just be squad fillers for the next 2 years,
  20. From what I have read on twitter seem happy with his appointment. I don't know what being said on their forums as I don't go on their forums. I'm sure it will be discussed by Talksport on the 10pm show which I will listen to Well that's your problem. I haven't said its unique to Chelsea but given Lampard legendary status on the club and the fact that he is fans favourite. there. Its 2 months job for him. Dunn is at Port Vale as first team coach there and Sherwood hasn't managed for over 7 years now so unlikely that would happen. We have options on the club who could do it on interim basis and our Director of football has said he has shortlist if JDT was to leave at any point. I did say that I would keep Potter till end of the season then make a decision. Chelsea didn't do that. Both co-sporting directors recommended to the owners that Potter to be sacked which one of those co-sporting directors was someone Potter took to the club from Brighton. Well they have appointed Lampard now and lets see how he does there. Big Sam at Chelsea? Just imagine the backlash from the fans there instead the owners made an appointment which is short term but popular with the fanbase whilst they bring in permanent signing in the summer. They are interviewing 7 candidates from reports. I was big fan of Lampard as a player and I don't think his managerial record at Derby and Chelsea is as bad as some on here think. Granted Everton experience wasn't good enough.
  21. It is the same club with different owners but Lampard knows alot of the players and staff there. No I am not doing this for any attention but its based on my opinion. I don't know why you post such things when I have no interested in attention seeking but I am here to talking and discussed Rovers and Football topics. Maybe Lampard would have done the same as Tuchel but we will never know. He has Quarter-finals to play in the champions league I believe. I won't be watching it live either btw. Yet Everton has still in the relegation dog fight tho. Dyche has done well there so far but the next 9 games for all the teams will be totally dogfight for all teams.
  22. Its a very interesting debate and guess it will depends what division we are in next season. If we are PL then I think both would stay but if we are in the championship then I think one will move on with Hilton moving the number 2 keeper perhaps
  23. no surprised it has been picked by Sky here. The person who picked games for Sky must be Rovers fan.
  24. Rumours that Spurs might appoint Brendan Rodgers as their next head coach. I wonder what Spurs fans think of that?
  25. Well look at Chelsea fans reacted to this news and its positive news and gives the fans someone to get behind now for the rest of the season. He is a Club legend there and fans will be onside. This allow the owners and sporting directors time now to conduct interviews and find the right manager for next season. Most of the shortlist Chelsea won't take the job until the summer for different reasons. of course Lampard might want it long term but they are interviewing 7 different candidates and from reports Lampard isn't on that list, but if he does well he could end another PL club like Leicester City or West Ham in the summer.
