Delighted with the JRC new contract news

My Disdain towards Mowbray is still there and I still believe he should have been sacked by now. How many more times do I need to same this? Its gets boring to be honest keep repeating the same thing every time. But Players might have different opinion on Mowbray to us fans. Ever thought of that one. I would say thats most championship clubs don't have the financial clout anymore. Most clubs are the same but just look at how well clubs like Barnsley or Luton don't have financial clout but finished higher than we did in the league. Look at Stoke as example of a massive wage bill and they only finished one place higher than us. Not a chance. Wages would be massive problem here no thanks. We have our first choice left back now in Pickering and we need a left back who can cover centre back area maybe? Do we have the squad to play the way Ismael has at Barnsley since joining them? Joe, Do you have any stats on him from the various sites you used? Delighted with this one. I think JRC will become a key player over the coming seasons and he needs to play forward whether its wide left or right. No reason for him to be play at right back with Nyambe and Pike for their spots

Yes but most clubs outside the PL regulation 3 teams wont have loads of money and I expect very few cash buys in the entire league unless clubs sell a key player to fund it. Is he going stay at Barnsley on low wages? Or go somewhere for more money and is the current Barnsley manager going to stay and be able to continue the good work? Is Mowbray a boring old fart when in the dressing room with the players? Do you know this or just speculation again?

I would be playing regular from now on and in centre midfield/number 10 role. Hes 21 years old. Now is the time to build the midfield around him and Travis.

How many starts did Rothwell make last season? And as you say doesnt impact games enough. Will his talent ever develop into the player he should or would it take a different manager to make this happen? On Rankin-Costello, the one I heard was he wants to play in a more attacking position and not as a full back. Now we Pike coming through Mowbray has no excuses now to use him wide right or left.

I disagree. I can see why Rothwell hasn't sign a new deal I would suggest it's more over his role in the team and position. Similar to what has been posted about JRC on here. But I would say now it's even more important we have to keep developing and bringing through our academy players

Barnsley have one of the lowest wage bill and a policy of not signing players over 24. Rovers could offer him more money in terms, longer contract, role under Manager.. You mention our finances being affected. But I would say most clubs in the championship have been badly affected now.

Well it does matter to be honest how we are run. Seems like Balaji is involved in every major decision whether it the Manager's future, financial decisions, etc and its looks like Pasha or Babu can't authorise anything without his approval? Wonder if this is how they run their key companies? I agree it's the wrong way to run a football clubs given to the way the Walker's family and trust have John Williams and Tom Finn they trusted to run it. But Venkys have never a CEO they trusted properly. That's why I surprised they never appoint Pasha as CEO. He is trusted by Balaji to be in the position within Venkys family he is in surely?

is Mowbray in charge of giving out new contracts or can he only recommend who gets new contracts to Waggott and Pasha but Waggott is charge of negotiations with the agent?

Buckley should be regular starter next season in whatever formation we play He has all the talent to become a Good Premier League player

Rovers offered new terms top Nyambe, JRC and Rothwell last season but none of the players accept the terms. I have no idea what they terms were but they were offered new terms. Think Miller11 posted a while back that JRC won't sign a new contract cos of concerns over playing position. Not everything is down to money. We need to be signing our good quality players to long term contracts

Not if we got a Hugill or Idah as part of the Armstrong's deal if Norwich were to bid. Yet again, we have no idea on the terms he been offered by Barnsley or by other teams. Why can't we offer him better terms than Barnsley? exactly why I suggested Hugill as part of the deal. reduce the fee for Newcastle.

From watching live games before pandemic ended us watching inside stadiums 3 names are Whitehall, Pike and Burns. Eastham could be good keeper for us. McBride did well last season in terms of goals but never seen him live

why do we need 3 right backs for? Walker will get in cos he can cover right back and centre back spots where TAA can't. On form over the season leaving TAA out is the right decision

Will everything ever go back to exactly to pre pandemic? I don't know or have the answers to be honest. All down to people and what they feel right and comfortable in doing like attending such sporting events. They will probably test events about away fans going to games first because a complete reopening of it. Yes some fans are interested in watching these games? Well last season they weren't cos of current restrictions. Depends on people circumstances and whether they can keep travelling to Leyland for games. Rovers started a free service for under 23's games towards the end of the season and It was good to watch.
