I think JDT’s agent will be looking at realistic alternatives. I don’t think JDT will be anywhere near the top of Rangers wish list, and I certainly can’t see a Premier League club coming in for him. His brand is clearly now being damaged, which is why I can see him bailing out with a few more defeats.

Agreed on nearly everything you’ve said. My one bone of contention is re - Stuart Law. He was a disaster at Middlesex, and I’m pretty sure he was also fired by an Aussie team. I was sat next to Ethan Bamber’s Dad during the Middlesex game, and “disaster” was the exact word he used to describe Law’s tenure. Good players don’t always make good coaches. I don’t even think Chapple is the main problem. Chilton is the problem, as is the obvious lack of ambition (or focus on cricket) of the hierarchy.

It’s partly self inflicted, egs Gallagher and Ennis who both have a poor injury record but, yes, it’s looking a bit ominous. I don’t rate Gallagher but, such is our lack of squad depth, he’s a very important player for us, and I feared the worst when we heard the extent of his lay-off.

Perhaps under a more favourable set of circumstances JDT would have a chance of getting us promoted. He’s been given a bum deal by our owners and this is not going to end well.
