  1. Sorry Gav I have no idea what his best is. Whenever I've seen him its 15 to 20 an over. When he gets a wicket its usually a catch on the boundary that would have gone for 6. I think he lulls them into a true sense of security!
  2. Its a commonly held view Biz, for a start 8 people liked that post above! Welcome back anyway. Don't be like Rovers though , save something for the 2nd half!
  3. TBF though, this the the most "one half" team Rovers have ever produced or .at least that I can remember. We either sleep for the first half and then dominate the 2nd half without necessarily getting the result or we play really well the first half and then go back into our shells. Given our defence isn't brilliant it makes for hard, often nail-biting viewing. Why does it happen? Unless anyone can come up with a better explanation, its hard to look past selections, formations , tactics and subs.
  4. Apart from Mills. I know he got 2 wickets but he's a batsman's dream.
  5. If its working we should keep on doing it.
  6. Different team pickers every week in our case. Its the only explanation!
  7. Well your logic is impeccable but nobody trusts them. Why would you? All I want them to do is sell.
  8. My sentiments exactly. 11 years of utter misery. Premier League status just thrown away by a mixture of incompetence and dodgy dealing.
  9. I agree with you but I thought Burnley's top price was £580 or around that? That's the starting price at some Premier League clubs by the way! Another difference between us and Stanley is that they are a club close to their community and growing because of it. The exact opposite of us!
  10. Read that it takes over 20 years on the waiting list to be able to buy a Liverpool season ticket. Manure's wait list is 100,000! Quite a challenge for Venkys!
  11. Brilliant! Says it all , Literally falling apart.
  12. For goodness sake, it doesn't matter how much money you put in if it isn't spent wisely and you don't take responsibility for it? In the current situation they could put any amount in but it would be wasted like the rest has been. In any case most of the money they put in is to settle debt or rather interest on debt their practices created. Most of it is about accounting not football and merely has the effect of enabling the club to stumble form one crisis to the next.
  13. We did till Venkys turned up and more. We had 19000+ after were relegated the first time. When Venkys took over we had healthy crowds of around 25000 with all the pies, parking fees and programmes and beer that that involves. But the club had the sense to charge cheap entrance then and it worked.
  14. One of the poorest towns in Britain. You want people to spend what they haven't got? We're not Chelsea you know.
  15. You think we'll see it one day then? Not so confident myself.
  16. 1) Why would it? Armstrong money wasn't. 2)And would have been wasted anyway.
  17. One of the saddest things about Venky's reign is that they have divided the fan base. Personally I cannot stomach the notion that a group of aliens and walk into our club, steadily dismantle everything Jack did for us and we should simply take it and carry on as if nothing an happened. You're asking people to be complicit in the destruction of something we love. If we had gates of 20000+ what would they do with it? We know don't we?--- because they've already done it! Why give them more to cannibalise?
  18. I'm told by someone who should know, that Nyambe's agent is asking for the club to double his wages. I'm guessing he is not on a lot so double is not excessive. Given we lose him for nothing this situation seems ridiculous.
  19. Sadly, yes he was. Been a regular since early 50's. So much to be proud of.
  20. I've forgotten obviously but I didn't realise the crowd was so huge. I thought the standard of play surprisingly high, especially given the state of the pitch.
  21. but he thinks he should be sacked!
