  1. Raya, now Brereton flourish away from Ewood. its a worry.
  2. You wouldn't expect Messi to travel in any old vehicle would you? BBis an international superstar now you know! (No---I can't believe it either!)
  3. Yes but in the wrong position!
  4. Exactly what I thought!
  5. Getting some stick here: https://the72.co.uk/253394/a-leopard-never-changes-its-spots-plenty-of-blackburn-rovers-fans-unimpressed-after-coventry-citys-comeback/ I still don't have a Twitter account by the way, got this from News Now site!
  6. Balaji---a gambler. Nothing better to do with his millions. Not a football decision.
  7. Social media has to get into someone, that's the nature of the beast. That's why I avoid it apart from this site! He wasn't booed at games by Rovers fans and he wasn't hated. We were astonished, saddened and embarrassed but we all wanted him to do well. Now, at last he is, but whether Chile or Rovers are responsible is a moot point.
  8. Its looking like we bought an investment project rather than a player. As soon as he comes good, he's off (or so it appears). Probably what Balaji intended all along. Whatever the club gets for him, we won't see much of it.
  9. Can you read? I said he"d never make it but I didn't hate him or boo him. I wanted him to succeed! Those tribunals always rule on the low side by the way, never the open market fee.
  10. Rubbish! Not a single poster on here hated him. On the contrary everyone desperately wanted him to succeed but despaired that he ever would. Now he has we probably won't see much more of him! We haven't got an administration worthy of the name so ironically he could see his contract out and leave for nothing. Since this was allegedly Balaji's own money and investment I suspect he'll be flying over with a crowbar in his pocket should this occur! But let's not reinvent history. This was not a good signing. If we had spent £4 million say, on a decent striker to play upfront with Armstrong and spent £8M on the defence, don't you think we might have gone up? I'm willing to admit I never thought he would make anything of himself and after 3 bloody years he has. I wonder if his mother had been English would things have turned out this way? But it doesn't changed the fundamental point that ,at the time he wasn't what we wanted. Neither was Gallagher.
  11. Yes, prices were so cheap then so many didn't think a season ticket was worth the bother. Everybody just walked up and paid on the day.
  12. Its the same with playing MacGloire at right-back. If we can see it why can't the "experts" see it? They do it for a living after all.
  13. Postal applications---people who never set foot in Ewood had same chance of obtaining a ticket as anyone else. So loyayfans missed out. As far as I know all season ticket holders got one but often a standing one when they had an expensive Stand seat. Same happened with the semi too.
  14. I.S. possibly!
  15. All true but if the Saudis had bought us, we'd be dancing in the streets too. Fans were really disappointed that the Qataris didn't buy us and they're not much better.
  16. The worry is that as more and more Premier League sides who are owned by fabulously rich magnates or (let's be honest---governments) the harder it will be for clubs who aren't. In a few years getting into the top half will realistically be all that's available to perhaps 10 clubs. If all clubs in the Premiership were owned by mega-rich, 3 would still be relegated----with parachute payments! This, in turn, would make promotion impossible year after year for the rest. Imagine being in the Championship and all that was open to you was to avoid relegation---year after year! Actually, I don't need to imagine it do I? Football at non-local level is going to kill itself.
  17. Nearly choked when I read that! 2 choices---laugh or cry!!
  18. Eh? I was grateful for the police the last time I went there! Drunken louts trying to get at us.
  19. I don't know if this can be answered but what % of away fans are boycotting home games? Anybody make a good guess?
  20. Bad news. We'll be slaughtered with our pop-gun attack. On the other hand our batsmen will be terrorised Need Archer wood and Stokes to be fully fit. No chance.
  21. Well we're OK then! If your'e correct, these players of our's will have nowhere to go and they'll have to come back to us and accept what we originally offered them. What's the chances of this happening do you think?
  22. But we're on a journey aren't we? Its taken nearly 5 years to build this squad! Surely we're not going to lose the best of them and start another journey? Let's keep Mowbray then he's very experienced at this.
  23. Exactly, its all about what they were offered.Clearly not enough!
