  1. If you're arguing that Mowbray is a better manager than Coyle, you won't get any argument from me. Its not much of a compliment is it? No-one is arguing about this anyway.
  2. 3 games and 2 of those against 10 men does not a summer make. I'll leave it there, we are not going agree. Much and I emphasise "much" of the football last season was as bad as I have ever seen.
  3. Why highlight 3 games when we won only 2 of 17 in that same season? Selective nonsense.
  4. Rev never said that, what he did say I entirely agree with.---last 3 years have seen some of the worst football he's seen in 50 years. Who could argue wth that? Who has expected "immediate results"? No-one I know. In any case he's has 4 and a half years and been well backed in the transfer market. Agree the owners are chiefly to blame and one of the things they're to blame with is appointing a succession of lousy managers and executives---Singh, Waggot,Kean, Coyle and Mowbray. Rev can speak for himself but personally I can't see what you are so hyped up about.
  5. That is what passes for ambition at Ewood these days. Realistic but dismal and deadening. Hardly likely to win over new fans or get old ones back.
  6. But we do know that this number of players running out of contract is unprecedented for us. We do know that every year we are going backwards.
  7. How can you build a side over time if you can't even afford the wages of the ones you've collected? Bizarre. "Bleak contract outlook"! BLEAK OUTLOOK FULL STOP. Pleasington here we come.
  8. Kaminsky? Dropped a clanger with Raya though.
  9. We'll see if he gets the opportunity!
  10. I liked "Duke" or most of it but gave up on them after that.
  11. He played his part in the first goal. He's not looking out of place yet.
  12. Early Genesis! Still my most played music!
  13. Cm'n guys, Lenihan isn't exactly the biggest of our worries is he? He's capable enough at this level. Picks up too many yellows but one of our few leaders. Good partnership between him Ayala.
  14. Because none of our forwards can shoot. We've created the chances.
  15. The Mirror Man!!
  16. Half the replies on social media relating to Brereton these days seem to be in Spanish!
  17. Agree and it won't change with these owners. Somehow we just have to get lucky and appoint a decent manager at least once.
  18. Well we used to get much bigger crowds! Who's to blame for that? If we go with your template then the wages of the players will be reduced every season as the crowds dwindle still further. In the end where will we be? There has to be a plan and commitment from the owners, a proper administration and competent staff at all levels. We had this not long ago. There has to be investment not just covering of losses. The club will improve, the crowds will come back. If we carry on as we are oblivion looms. If only someone could explain it to them!
  19. There's no such thing as the right wage for any player. Its all up for negotiation. The problem is that if we won't pay what a player thinks he's worth and some other club will, then that player will most likely be off---as we are finding out. So do we just stick out and get relegated? For the record I don't believe we are paying "silly wages" if anything we'll be on the low side.
  20. "The Daleks:devoid of all emotion except hate. They're like Piers Morgan on wheels."
  21. For once an LT article I can relate to. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19523179.shift-expectations-blackburn-rovers-supporters/
  22. Mowbray is benefitting from not having as many players to choose from. Bit of stability. Also he has to throw in the young 'uns because there's no alternative. I suspect Carter would have gone out on loan if we'd had a full squad yet he's looking good enough just as Travis did when injuries forced Mowbray to play him. Mowbray has not suddenly become a good manager and we should enjoy this start while lasts.
