Didn't really know where to put this but Ian Battersby was on BBCs Today programme this morning. The interview was about the Tracey Crouch report on English football released today. However the interviewer congratulated him on "your team's" 4-0 win last night and he mentioned the possibility of the play-offs. On about 6.52 am. At least we know he's alive and kicking and still a Rovers supporter!

There is a trend of people saying that Mowbray's transfer dealings have been great now that Brereton has come good at last. No recognition of the fact that he was not what we needed at the time and that TM told us "defenders are coming" when they weren't. And we paid for it on both counts.

I repeat, why would there be any sort of bonus at all for taking the club down 2 divisions? Why is that clause in there? Do you believe any other manager had such a provision? Something dodgy here as there was about the whole takeover.

Nothing odd then! Employers usually give senior staff a bonus for failure?Nothing to see here! What on earth existed at the time of the contract to suggest we could possibly end up in Div 1 during the life of the contract? I'm as pessimistic as it gets and I had no such thoughts. Tony, you are so right about Brereton's goal! Not many strikers can score so often from such a narrow angle but Brereton does it for fun! Most strikers in that position would hold it up and wait to pass it to someone more central. Not Brereton! Just smashes it as if the keeper wasn't there. Takes skill, power and confidence, all qualities he didn't seem to have for so long.
