Just caught up with the first episode. Very enjoyable. 3 features stood our for me, the state of the stadiums in 1992, how "uncultured" the football seems to be---players flying in to tackles which would get you sent off now and how old Hendry looked! Very interesting comments from Shearer on his transfer to us. But, as always, my feelings of watching Rovers in the Premier League are full of regrets at how its been thrown away. I watched it through clenched teeth.

It really does look like Venkys are unwilling to let TM spend any more money (and who could blame them?), he is not going to resign, so everything is on hold until his contract runs down. I hope that's the explanation anyway.

Ha! I wish---in some ways! We had the best team and the best squad in the League in our Championship season We has been building up to it in the previous 2 seasons. We were outright favourites.It was no surprise. In no way do I wish to belittle that achievement but it doesn't compare with what ER has done. Good one though!

We've spent £12M on our 2 strikers and sold another for £15M but we haven't got a decent striker in the squad. Mowbray and Venkys are unacceptably inadequate.

I think most of us want him to play in the middle because, despite what TM thinks, he absolutely can't play anywhere else! Its really an argument that we should never have signed him at all, especially at that price. TM totally stuffed up there and with Brereton, I always knew it would come back to bite us. We are going to see a lot of these games I'm afraid where we just can't put the opposition away for lack of ability in that key area. Poor manager.

He scored some great goals, nobody in our squad has that level of ability now, sadly. Theses old clips eh? They manage to make you proud of what we were and distraught at what we have become---at the same time!
