  1. The vast majority of Championship games are very boring I find. Unless your own team is playing, they are not worth the bother. Just one cul-de-sac and back pass after another.
  2. Very clearly implied. No other possible interpretation. Unless you're trying to be mysterious....
  3. We are a man down when we play him, its that simple. He's not even League 1 standard. If we did decide to loan him who'd take him? League2?Conference?
  4. That doesn't actually say he signed for Rovers at 13 though, does it? I've no idea whether he did or not by the way!
  5. I thought he was absolute rubbish. Every time tried to run with the ball his legs got tangled up! Off the ball, he seemed always on the fringe of the action, looking on and wondering what to do. The way he moves is so ungainly, like a colt learning to run. There's a story here but I doubt we'll ever know. Sure he did a couple of good things in the game (who wouldn't?) but he was ineffective for the most part. We've signed some bad ones in the past, but this one, especially at £7M will take some beating. In terms of the fee paid, easily the worst signing we have ever made. Worse than Grabbi, worse than Davies, I'll stop there. And no-one WANTS to see him fail Eddie. Shameful of you.
  6. You see that every weekend in local football!
  7. Can't believe that comment from TM. That's what worries me about him. He is discounting the possibility of Lenihan not getting injured when he has a known injury record. He's recently come back from a fair lay-off and our record in defence at the time was dire. In a nutshell, comments like that remind me why I have no faith in him long-term.
  8. With the prospect of fist team football when Tosin leaves in the summer though?
  9. Over-thinking it again! Or getting his alibi in early in case we get nobody!
  10. Gosh we'll miss Samuel! Davenport still breathing?
  11. Preston and Wigan-----the two fixture that we nearly always mess up.
  12. Perhaps he means nativity?
  13. There's dilemma here---he would deserve it but he couldn't do it. And, to get near the play-offs, Tosin and Lenihan have to remain uninjured and free from suspension
  14. Very true. Easy to get carried away by the current run which could end any game. However, I have maintained for a long time that TM is not the man to take us forward, his faults would be magnified a hundred times. He could not compete with the level of management in the Premier League now. Even Dyche!
  15. If we were in the Premier league, just about the entire squad would have to be over-hauled if we were to survive and not be down by Christmas. The cost would be enormous but, of course, so would the revenue. My question is, would you trust TM to spend it well? I wouldn't. That's the brutal truth.
  16. and a manager who could find them. Transfers not TM's strong point imo.
  17. Eh?? I have never mentioned Rhodes in years! What are you about? My answer to that is not to play him! Loan him out and pray for a miracle is my solution.
  18. Its not game time that makes Brereton's first touch so bad.
  19. The worst thing that could happen is that TM/Venkys don't look to strengthen the squad in January because our recent form has been so good.
  20. I would also assume Rothwell and Holtby will start. We shouldn't miss him too much? (predictive text turned Holtby into "Healthy"! Good omen!
  21. It would be pretty much like it was on that awful run last season I imagine. And you'd be defending him. Lets be straight, all those demands for his sacking from posters on here, including me, were not about any mini-run of bad results.
  22. Why should we take a 4 game run "in isolation" I've already said why I don't! Make it 20 and I'll definitely be interested!
  23. 4 wins are not an end in themselves. We went on a big run of success last season and where did we end up? Back where it started after a disastrous run. Perspective is needed here. As far as I am concerned, this present run has taken us well away from the relegation struggle I feared. With TM, it is not necessarily a pointer to the future. I would prefer a more regular graph of wins and I don't believe Tony will deliver it. Hope I'm wrong but I'm sick of wondering whether this 55 year old has" learned his lesson". Sorry DE, just realised I've said what you said!
  24. Ignoring the fact that plenty defended him when our results were lousy and do so under ANY circumstances?
