  1. I see you’ve changed the thread title Why not make it Jon Dahl Tomassgone?
  2. Are we buying that anyone oversees it?
  3. I think Dom’s right that we made mistakes on the documents (rather than didn’t send one) but I guess a scenario could be… We incorrectly answer one of the questions which leads to us not being advised of a necessary document. The EFL realise we’ve made an error and let us know - but by then we’ve run out of time to provide said document. At this stage I believe if there’s a way we can fuck something up we’ll manage to do so.
  4. How do EFL clubs register a player? The EFL, in conjunction with the Football Association and the Premier League, operates an online registration system, which allows Clubs to submit all the necessary documents electronically via secure network. The process is designed to help clubs, asking a series of questions relating to the transaction which then flags which documents will be required. Only once all details have been competed can the Club submit the application. Once submitted it will be available to both the EFL and Football Association who can work independently.
  5. As I’ve just posted, would you not think the sale of Wharton (despite being outside this accounting period) would be relevant in terms of the ‘going concern’ statement? ie. The auditor’s raise the concern with the club regarding the Indian court case and the uncertainties surrounding this. The club’s reply is, ‘don’t worry we’ve just pocketed circa £20 million pounds in player sales’
  6. I think you mean the below bit of the auditor’s report (this is the year ending 30/6/2022) I think A.Wharton’s departure will mean they’re happy to include the same this year.
  7. Oh no - another tricky thing to spell!
  8. ‘Receivables financings These financings allow clubs to borrow against the value of their future income streams, such as transfer fees (received in instalments from clubs they have sold players to), broadcast revenue or sponsorship income (in the case of EPL clubs, being payments of Central Funds [4]) and season ticket income, to access liquidity upfront. This market is generally dominated by a relatively small number of lenders, especially in the UK where both the EPL’s and EFL’s respective rules state that clubs may only assign their entitlement to transfer fees in relation to the sale of a player to a Financial Institution [5] [6]whilst EPL clubs are also restricted from assigning their rights to Central Funds to non-Financial Institutions [7].’
  9. Cheston is Finance Director. No idea what the head of finance does sorry!
  10. They might want to make that a handwritten memo.
  11. Same here but can access it through the podcast tab at the top of the messageboard index
  12. He’s lost @RevidgeBlue ‘s vote with that 😁😁
  13. If it is a Cheston, how long do they have to update with Companies House?
  14. Maybe the person ‘submitting’ the paperwork was more senior than GB.
  15. If we only took over his Orlando wages there won’t be any loss of earnings.
  16. As of yesterday he is 23 (and yes re the fee)
  17. Delay with the paperwork maybe?
  18. Incompetence is very expensive.
  19. Why open a door when you can open a window.
