  1. Aye didn't they get booted out of the dressing room once ? No chance TM will be revisiting that one.
  2. I like Pickering but there is nothing to suggest even Prem potential never mind England. Hope i'm wrong of course.
  3. He should be on his bike he's another done well out of this club and done bugger all back since he signed. Iv'e stuck up for him in the past because i like proper wingers and this squad needs one. He isn't the answer though and i agree his wages would be better spent elsewhere in the current climate.
  4. After watching some of the warm up shooting drills pre match since Ayala has been on the bench i'd happily bet my last dime on him scoring more than Gallagher.
  5. They put the clubs finances at risk the minute they and their friends walked through the door. There's a reason they are allegedly damned if they do or don't. This little period can be viewed as a little bit of payback finally for the 9/10k of us who've stuck with it despite often despising them and some of those they've employed. They've helped create the very thing that is now almost totally dependent on their wealth, some might even say that suits them. So forgive me if my heart doesn't bleed for them when some are asking for just a couple of million extra quid spent wisely, to give us a real chance.
  6. Some good points in that article but it's a bit of a propaganda piece for Waggot and TM i suspect a pal has arranged it. The league position whilst being fantastic has seemed to cover up all the cracks of the last few years. We are doing great now and long may it continue and everyone deserves some credit. A little bit of perspective is needed though this is still the same regime that has presided over a lot of under achieving and odd decisions.
  7. Need to treat this just like the Sheff Utd game, jump on them and stay on them and if we go one behind get straight back at them. That was such an important win as it set the season alight and put away the doubts after that bad defeat and horror performance. Similar needed here now, crowd needs to be the same as well behind the team from the off and stick with it. This for me could potentially be the biggest win of the season so far. It would be a very important 3 points.
  8. We'd probably be looking at approaching 20k plus for this on a Saturday afternoon - at £20 of course. SKY, killing football since 1992.
  9. Fair play to him for calling back and confirming what we already knew, we were shafted.
  10. We all know from what we've seen in the past JRC is too flimsy for RB/RWB. We all know Gallagher in this seasons squad should not really be starting or be first choice to bring on over more creative players. We also all know from the past 5 years evidence that our manager will keep trying things with the same players and positions that have never really worked. Despite having moved away from that for the first time ever this first half a season it'll come back to haunt. Old habits die hard and it's a worry.
  11. I reckon if relegated they'll have one season to get straight back in the money otherwise right up the creek. Interesting times ahead...
  12. This is a tough one and i think due to some forced changes we are about to revert to the inevitable tinkerman era. Add in the traditional rough midwinter patch and it's a worrying mix. Hopefully a decent crowd turn up and get behind the lads ffs, they are going to need it not the nervous Ewood sat waiting for something to cheer. Rovers 1 Boro 1
  13. I think those are the things that separate the good managers from the average. Tony' got a real chance to prove himself the former now but he also needs a bit of luck over the season with those useless barsteward officials. I think we'd have got out of jail last night with a remotely competent ref.
  14. We should be going all out for promotion for now whilst we have a chance. The rebuilding of the club will move to the next level with even just a season in the Prem. You can never get away from thinking some there would just prefer to be sat in midtable trying to develop to sell to survive.
  15. They had some money and wanted a marquee signing so knowing Gallagher they dived in and signed him when he became available. I think that's the top and bottom of it with him and they quickly realized he can't do the Danny Graham role, Mowbray doesn't like using a battering ram type system either. So its been a case of just fit him in somewhere because at least he'll run around a lot so gallop up and down the right, looking to come inside. That's where we are at with him the squad has to carry this 5 million pound 15k pwk signing somehow because he wasn't signed for a specific role. Painful to watch this scenario at times and i like the guy i think he can serve a purpose but what we've seen since he came back isn't really it.
  16. I think deep down we all know we've been over achieving a bit and like i mentioned the other day a lot of our success has been down to to sheer hard graft. The intensity has dropped off and opposition sides have upped theirs, they are prepared now. That's why imo with what is still at his disposal the manager has to do a bit better with what hes got in these situations. Still to eager to please the likes of Gallagher and Ayala instead of coming up with something a little bit cuter. Having said that even a performance like that tonight if key men are performing we get something going off whats happened this season. That's before we start on the either abysmal or corrupt officials or the early bad goal conceded. Need to get back on the bike v boro and it would be no surprise to see another poor performance but doing enough to win. If the tinkering has started though it'll be a painful slippery slope for sure.
  17. Bad referee - again, bad decisions from the manager - the type of stuff we haven't seen this season but had grown used to over the previous years. Credit to Hull for wanting it more, lets just hope it's a bad night at the office. It's going to happen from time to time but they need to get back to what has been working next time out. No excuses not to whatsoever even if it means leaving some of the highest paid firmly rooted to the bench.
  18. For those who've knocked him you can see just how important Travis is to the way we play this season. As for Gallagher i'm no hater but every time he starts in these formations the team is disjointed straight away. If Mowbray has turned into the Championship PEP overnight this particular blind spot will put paid to that if he doesn't get to grips with it. Gallagher to equalize now....😁
  19. Like i said it's been happening more and more since covid restrictions were lifted regardless of numbers etc.
  20. Suhail who allegedly had links/worked with, the agency of you know who. You know who whose agency whose offshoots company had clients named Lambert, Coyle and Mowbray. It's interesting to say the least how certain dots always seem to join still. There'll be a contract for Tony if he wants one i think there always was it's probably just down to him how long he fancies it for that's been the holding off reason.
  21. And the more fans the more money there is to pay it. As someone whose often, in fact mostly, made late decisions on attending away games iv'e usually paid on the day. Only since covid is this being phased out by the looks of it by a lot of championship clubs despite adequate room still being available. Can't really see it's much to do with police or pie costs when we are talking a few hundred rather than hundreds and thousands pitching up unannounced.
  22. Funny how this only comes out now when everything is going well. Not long ago he was speaking to the owners through the press and acting like he didn't know what was happening. Nobody dare mention the invisible mans name or what he actually does. I'm glad he's doing well again because it means the club is but he can play the game can old Tone.
