I thought the whole idea of the wages pecking order Mowbray has created was to encourage lads to progress. Then their pay goes up comparative to others and so on. If academy graduates and cheap signings are on 3/5/7k they are surely justified up they want to go to 5/6/10k ? Question is are they worth that us to us and i'd say yes in Nyambes case but 10k pwk+ is probably easily on offer at some other clubs as well. Its seemed all along with a few of these that Rovers have been steering them towards the door. We'll be offering a couple of grand extra whilst hinting the players and their agents are wanting treble their current packet. Truth will be in the middle somewhere but i reckon the players might want to stay more than Rovers actually want them to.

Unless he walked away without pay there's nothing noble about it. Mutual agreement means exactly that and usually some sort of settlement.

Then the players leaving slashing the wage bill but giving us the lightest least experienced squad we might ever have had. Then front of house what did we get ? Price rises and predictably the smallest gates for 30 years. Clowns the entire bunch there is no planning radical, sweeping or otherwise. Those in upper office just like the manager and coaching staff are winging it. Making it up as they go along.

Yep they should've been doing this from the off instead of hiking the same seat from Swansea to West Brom by 7 quid. Whilst they continue to be happy to sit in midtable, chucking 10/20 mill per year at it then those in the middle will be happy to sit there drawing their few million per year out of it. No boats will get rocked and the club will continue to go nowhere. Quite why people are happy with this because the so called only other option is going bust is bizarre. Some of these same fans will be moaning in the real world that this govt has scared everybody into accepting their controlling ways. We've all been conditioned to accept this bollocks over the last ten years yet Mowbray & Waggot are Rovers very own Johnson & javid. Vs are the bank of England allowing millions on lost causes whilst holding nobody to account.

With the way the costs have been slashed there shouldn't be a 20 million deficit. Of course the covid situ has magnified all that but a lot of it is still down to them paying past mistakes still. Futhermore they seem to like to run with a 10/20 million deficit anyway it seems to suit their corporate accounting. Might get a bit worried when it's heading north of that but within 20 mill they never seem that bothered. If they were they'd demand bang for their bucks but they never do. Just happy for it to flow through the pipes every year. Cut all the crap away and someone could probably run this club similar to what it is now position wise on a minus 10 mill budget. The lights wouldn't go out overnight that's project fear style propaganda. It would take a few months but you'd hope someone would step in pretty quickly. Although obviously there'd have to be a slash and burn unless they were billionaires. We have that every 5 years anyway though WITH the billionaires.

If they self isolated him for the next 3 months does anyone really think it would make a great deal of difference to results ? I certainly don't.

He has praised the Rovers home and away backing this season to be fair. Yesterday it's handier for his latest arse covering narrative to pretend the home crowd made more difference than his tactics and subs. If we'd nicked a point he'd have been praising the away fans for driving us on....and himself of course. As it is we started badly and got worse in the first half and he doesn't know why. And why would he, i mean he's only the teams manager after all. For a guy who knows so much about everything most of the time i find that a little odd.

Downgrade to league 1 players, loans and kids and it's no surprise where it'll lead. However Blackpool were bust a few years ago they are no better than Rovers at present. The usual tactical masterclass and lack of pre match motivation handed them that game before we got going. Same old same old we've been witnessing for years and will continue to do so. Only plus side is compared to likes of Blackpool we have more bits of quality when everyone is available. Should still be able to come out the blocks and get a result in games like that though. Not sure what this managers record is in local games but i'd imagine it isn't great.

Yep although there's non doubt of its impact its happened to everyone. Yet Swaggo and TM have done their level best this week to land everything at its door including assets they haven't tied down since before it began. They are the luckiest pair in the league the excuses come on a plate here to give them license to totally detached themselves from any part of it whatsoever. Luck runs out eventually though, for everybody.

We need a proper board of directors working with nothing but the club, team and fans put first. All we've had since the last real one is agents, agents friends, owners friends and brief part time yes men. A major major reason why we've never gone anywhere. Now with this fella we just have a guy who works for the manager and looks to try and impress the owners to justify himself. It's all a complete load of nonsense you need at least one person in there whose local, knows how things tick and has enough gonads to stand up and speak. To be fair to this guy he is just doing his job it's just a balance sheet and a wage to him. Anything beyond keeping the lights on and keeping his pal in situ doesn't really matter. The whole club missed a massive trick to try and bounce forwards after promotion, the signs were there but they took their foot off the gas. What was created was a nice comfort zone for the trio etc and now we are all stuck in it whilst they continue to wing it.

I've no doubt in my mind if the owners are backing this it's because they are happy to be cancelling out the Walker legacy.

That would hardly be a worthwhile exercise but i wouldn't rule it out. It gives them a ticket to move to some shoddy brownfield site somewhere in the boundaries.

That it's going to carry on and on whilst they are all here until something finally goes bang.

Especially when half of it comes in a grant.
