Strangely enough I was never a huge fan of TC at Rovers he frustrated me but obviously he wasn't being used properly it seemed Bowyers remit was just to bring on players ready to sell. Playing them out of position to learn different ropes is all part of that I suppose. Obvious he had quality on the ball but too much hands on hips for me but would love to have seen them try and build a team around him in the middle where he had to be involved all the time not sorting his quiff out every two mins ?

Match Thread ROVERS vs Lincoln

I've always enjoyed these type of games like you say it gives them a chance although a lot don't always look like they can be arsed with that chance but there's a different spirit now. Can't complain watching a game like that for 12 quid or whatever. -
Only if he picked it up and ran with it .............?

Dack aside it's been a while then but it's far better to watch and far far more effective than the deep sideways and backwards we've become accustomed to. Big difference in this emerging squad under TM is players taking responsibility and having a go when they are given license to. Team had become just to robotic and predictable but it's getting a fresh look about it now.

Let's save Burnley for the FA cup we might have a cracking little side by then and they might be floundering. Another very winnable lower league side at home will do then we can keep giving as many as possible a run out. -
A guy who carries the ball forwards from midfield ! Just how long is it since we've had one ? Hope he can stay fit.
-
Bad do for Samuel after all the hard graft he's supposedly put in during the summer, it's a cruel game.
-
Kalinic the only player at Rovers to look better under Kean than Allardyce !
-
That's a fair point someone who offers more than those two at the moment is a welcome signing and makes the squad a bit stronger again which is what we all want. Crazy money but a myriad of agents and people betting on future transfer fees is how football works theses days, just look at the eye watering amount of money Liverpool have given Southampton in recent years ! I don't think this lad will be here long if he's a success but it's a massive commitment from the money men and their advisors, a few similar transfer fees on some good ready made championship players might be nice........

The Confession Box - opinions you had which were wrong

Watching him week in week out you often got the feeling you wanted to see more from him but he was that type of striker, a lurker. His ability was never in doubt I thought he was a class player and yes the pure playboy lifestyle won't have done him any favours he was probably a bit tired in the day job ? -

I wonder if Souey thinks Dwight is one of the laziest arseholes he ever managed ? -
Isn't it about time a certain perennial bull#hitting Kean stirring hack was brought down to earth with a bump ?

Recent ?

Yet it sells more tickets than Fury could sell in his own back yard .......?

Leicester being 3 times the size of Blackburn and them having won the Prem as well..............

Thank god the Dack story is a Nixon story = non starter.

At one point last season I called Raya a show pony who was great with saves for the camera but ropey on the basics and that would cost us. On balance he got a lot more right last season than wrong and is improving all the time so i'll hold my hand up. Never had anything against him I just didn't think he was ready and it was a daft risk but you can only improve and learn with games and he's doing that. -
Not expecting him to score a bagful but Nuttall needs to pull his tripe out today whilst he has a good chance, zero excuse not to. If not i'd be bouncing him through the loan door to league 1 asap.
-
Far more realistic fee if that's the case although they've obviously already committed to buy him in Jan regardless if it goes through.

Every season it seems we have to sign at least one dud / Has been / Injury prone bad egg it's bizarre you have to wonder why similar clubs to us like PNE, Wigan etc don't follow the same path and get involved in all that rollocks. Who are we doing a favour for this time .....?
-
That's how you'd pitch it ... ?
-
We seem terrified of signing a player or two who can go straight in the team, who is as good as or better than ones we have despite allegedly being able to afford it. Let's take a 5th choice from QPR so he can be 5th or 4th choice here etc Bonkers. I understand not upsetting the applecart and giving others a chance but there are a few positions in the team that could do with an upgrade and it needn't cost millions or tens of thousands per week. Sliding one upgrade in per window, that's how you build a good side along with all the rest of it.

Nixon saying Forest hired an agent just before deadline day to sell this kid stinks of nothing more than Nixon trying to get something going on behalf of his agent connections but as usual laying the blame elsewhere. Remember what Freedman said when the bullshitter was trying his best to unsettle Rhodes linking him to skint Bolton & Wigan because we couldn't afford the last instalment on him or his wages ? 'I don't know where this fella gets his info from but it's rubbish' or words to that effect. The man is was and always has been an agents puppet.
-
So he needs to develop his composure/finishing....the very things that you want from an expensive striker and the very things that you pay premium money for. 8-12 million is very much premium money for this kid !!!! We already have Domonic Samuel who you could probably say the exact same things about. There's no getting away from it paying anything over 5/6 million for this lad is genuinely bonkers and straight out of the Venky handbook of football ownership particularly when they are rooting around scrimping and saving on virtually everything else. Odd times again.

Flag ideas and 'New Order' connection

It gets a mention in a book as well I believe also I remember reading something about it on a Leeds Utd forum. Mind you the 'yoof' get a mention in Shaun Ryders autobiography as well although i'm always amazed he can remember anything ?
