  1. I enjoy going for a beer before and after games, this usually means I catch the train to both home and away games. Rail strikes and games switching away from Saturday 15;00 kick-offs mean train journeys have become awkward. This season I have been to the least games, in the last 50 years. I don't even watch the televised games, as we have become so boring to watch.
  2. I watched the snooker as well.
  3. A Hollands pie, in clogs.
  4. Queue a Carly Simon song.
  5. Exactly. That type of player, just a better version, is what we need.
  6. It would be a pointless exercise. Because while Waggot is reaching his set annual targets (mainly through season ticket sales) , he doesn't give a toss what we say or think.
  7. So you keep saying, but the wide forwards system has not worked regularly, so a change is called for. If you do not agree with this, fair enough it is your opinion. No need to reply, or we will go round and round in boring circles, of who's opinion is most valid.
  8. You win the game through the middle. Play the players in their best positions. It is no good having a supply from the wings if there is no-one there to take advantage of it.
  9. Personally against Bristol, I would start Markanday with either Diaz or Gally as a front two pairing, with Dack just behind them. Three in mid field, and a back four. We are in desperate need of a good performance and a win.
  10. So we created the best three chances of the game, and all Rotherham did was score four goals. I know which I would prefer.
  11. But in an earlier post you stated that we should look for players for the future (ie potential). That is exactly what those players mentioned, are.
  12. Any update on todays game. I see it is now at the academy ?
  13. Perhaps Greg Broughton's comment about 27 year old players, would have been more acceptable if he had said we cannot afford 27 year old players.
  14. So is whether Ayala will still be playing, or that someone gets injured or suspended. Barnes as an unknown quantity could equally become a good player, as a bad one. I would say, in the financial position we are in, we have to take a chance on our players were we have potential, and strengthen from outside, in areas where we lack potential.
  15. In six months time, if Ayala is no longer available, we will have, Hyam, Wharton, Phillips, Barnes and Carter for two starting places and one on the bench.
  16. If he is a capable midfielder, then fair enough. If he is a center-half, who can do alright in mid-field , not so good.
  17. When JDT first arrived and he came out with the "Dutch disease" statement. I thought great, at least he can see one of the problems, and maybe he will cure it. Half a season down the line, and we are trying to play the exact football that he took the piss out of. At this point in time I have to think that his original statements were just things, he had been told, that the fans wanted to hear.
  18. If Waggot is judged by the owners, on his ability to reach a financial target (mainly through season ticket sales). Perhaps it is time for fans to stop that revenue stream ?
  19. Do we need another center-back ?
  20. As far as I am concerned, what he needs to do is get the team winning. An apology means fuck all to me.
  21. And yet you keep the system of two central midfielders, when most teams at our level play with three. My philosophy would be : Make your midfield combative, keep the defence simple and strong, that way you won't lose as many matches. Then with a bit of good fortune, chances are taken and games are won.
