  1. Bloody he'll CP Company man, how arrogant is that statement. A chunk of the money you pay goes to the extra security needed because some of your 'fans' can't behave themselves.
  2. That applies to anybody in the public eye who voices an opinion. If you are a sensitive soul then you are in the wrong game.
  3. Was he Dan Williams who originated from Blackpool but made his money in America? I seem to remember he claimed to be from a family of Rovers fans. I also have a vague recollection that he either tried or did get involved with that lot down the M65.
  4. "It's lemon drizzle cake all round if we can somehow get something out of this"
  5. It was quite exhilarating after an awful few weeks. It's amazing sometimes how fine the margins can be in sport. Only a few minutes earlier there was probably another line ready to be added to Mowbrays obituary but he has a stay of execution. I was really pleased for Buckley and sincerely hope he gets more chances to start. I think there is a real player in there and from Mowbrays comments he does too.
  6. Aside from the result one of the highlights for me was the run that Nyambe went on before crashing into the hoardings in front of the Blackburn End. Hopefully the shackles can come off now for him irrespective of what position he plays in. The power he has just hasn't been utilised enough for me.
  7. I certainly think that Sheffield Wednesday scoring was a big factor in us winning the game. I also saw Evans being briefed by studying the magic 'folder' but their goal forced a rethink. However it really doesn't matter to me whether it was lucky or great management. I really don't care because the feeling I got when we scored the winner and since then overrides any slight irritation that might have caused.
  8. I don't believe that Rob Heyes ever worked for us. He was at Accrington when they got promoted to the EFL and he left (maybe sacked) when he was given long suspension for illegal betting on football. He went to Macclesfield after that and was latterly at Blackpool.
  9. Almost as pleasing as the win was that (at last) we showed some bollocks, rolled our sleeves up and came from behind to win. I thought the performance was decent and we deserved the win but I don't think any Rovers fan would have predicted a win after going behind so late in the game. Ultimately we all want Rovers to win football matches and that really is all that matters. We could nitpick about selection, tactics, player errors or whatever but winning overrides all that and Mowbrays failings are being exempted today by me as I enjoy the moment.
  10. Desperation from Mowbray to boost his underachieving £5k misfit. How on earth can it be Gallaghers goal when the header wasn't even on target? It seems like every interview he does now he says something stupid.
  11. I know you should never be surprised in football but that surprises me. He has done exceptionally well at Nobbers and has the support of the fans and has built a decent side who are playoff contenders. Stoke has become a bit of a poisoned chalice with recent appointments. Still money talks.................
  12. And it's rumoured that they are stumping up a chunk of his wages. There is also a rumour that as he is a player and coach his wages are not counted towards FFP.
  13. I really hope that big lump Nuhiu isn't playing for them. He is slow, unskilled and can hardly run but he always manages to cause chaos amongst our defence. I don't like giving predictions as there are usually too many variables but I'm not confident at all going into this game.
  14. I get that. My point was that Keogh has no value and is effectively sacked. The other two who caused the accident are suspended, fined and then free to play. The difference is that the two drink drivers will be worth some money if they are transferred and Derby are protecting that.
  15. Mowbray had a short break in India less than two weeks before the Preston second half debacle.
  16. There is no consistency here though. What about the other two who actually drove under the influence and caused the injury to him? They have actually played for the first team since the accident. There is something far deeper in this story and I'd be amazed if it not the monetary value of Lawrence and Bennett when they actually get shut of them.
  17. I think he will win his appeal. Maybe Derby, in the knowledge he will appeal and win, will then say it's pointless sacking the other two as they too would appeal and win. But the world and his wife know that they have a transfer value and Derby are likely to cash in on that. Keogh is collateral damage. A club without morals or scruples.
  18. I remember driving home from an away match at Brighton early in the season and I got a text to say Bowyer had been sacked. It turned out to be wrong. It was November when he went if I remember correctly.
  19. Brentford away. 2-0 up and coasting - end up losing 5-2, Birmingham home 2-0 up, draw 2-2. They are just off the top of my head.
  20. Steve was interviewed in London by Alan Curtis, Leon Brittan and Trevor Birch. He hadn't even got back to Euston Station when he got a call to go back to the hotel for a second interview. Who would interview Mowbrays replacement? Waggott, Cheston and Pasha. I wouldn't trust them three to make a jelly.
  21. And Waggott and Coar can say 'what more can we do' in a deflection tactic.
