  1. Jack Walkers legacy being respected? Do you really believe this is progressive? How will it benefit the club?
  2. In my view the manager of any football club is the most important employee. All of our managerial appointments under this lot have, with perhaps one exception been on the cheap. Pretty much all out of work, damaged reputations and fallen stock. For the next appointment they have to push the boat out and get the very best available. When you think how much they have spunked on trash, second rate managers it's scary. That said I don't for one minute think they will get rid of Mowbray.
  3. I was secretly hoping it was the resignation note of Mowbray and his staff.
  4. I haven't read this whole thread and I'm sure it will have been mentioned but in a strange season I found something I saw bizarre. Lowe called Nyambe over and appeared to read something to him from a scrap if paper which was strange enough but then Nyambe called a few players together, spoke to them and showed them the note. All of this was during a break in play whilst Mowbray and Venus were playing statues. I'd love to know what was written on that piece of paper.
  5. I firmly believe we have a top six squad (when all are fit) but a mid table manager. The early season for saw us with a style of playing, a method which really suited the players and there was a nice balance. Since the early, successful part of the season Mowbrays muddled thinking has taken over and things have become over complicated and we became a side with no identity again. His seemingly random team selections, tactics, set up and substitutions have had us all scratching our heads at times. Recent performances are a stark contrast to early season. The intensity, press and pace which was winning us games and scoring lots of goals has disappeared and we are back to being mundane, slow and predictable. I'm certain any potential new manager would be attracted by looking at the squad and knowing the potential. However I do understand that with lots of loans and out of contract players this summer could once again see a massive upheaval.
  6. These idiots who think it's good news are labouring under some misapprehension that the money will be spent on the playing side. I'd wager now that not a penny of that money will go back into the club for improvement.
  7. I wonder how this could affect the Academy status? Surely one of the main criteria for Category One is having separate facilities to develop players.
  8. As many have alluded to this just kicks another of Jack Walkers investments and legacies into the long grass. That is the saddest aspect for me. Shysters like Waggott are simply disrespecting everything that Jack did for the club and town. And the owners have overseen a decade of scaling down but this is unforgivable and they are shameless, arrogant people. What next? Melting Jacks statue down for scrap.
  9. Rocking in our rocking chairs Nick 😁😁😁😁.
  10. This has the feel of a dead rubber, end of the season game in bloody mid February. I'm shocked about that but it's how I feel
  11. Having just seen a post on the music association thread I was reminded of this one to the tune of Terry Jacks song called Seasons in the Sun. We had joy, we had fun We had Burnley on the run But the fun didn't last Cos the b******* ran too fast.
  12. If you took what was clearly joke seriously then that's up to you.
  13. The best of what? We owe VLL nigh on £200m, we are haemorrhaging money, we are a mid table Championship club, we have lost thousands of supporters, we have no leadership etc etc. So excuse me if I don't want to make the best of it.
  14. I missed the fact he had gone but he achieved some good things for the clubs whilst in the role. https://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/national-league-statement-ceo-michael-tattersall-t-64622
  15. It will be interesting from many aspects. Promotion, relegation, TV contracts/monies and players contracts will be under intense scrutiny and there will be winners and losers. It's a sad situation and could signal the death knell for many clubs.
  16. I will be contacting him when Swag goes (hopefully not too far away).
  17. Too right. I just can't understand why people take a post serious when it's clearly humorous and therefore harmless. Too much moral high ground taking for me.
  18. Ullllllllllaaaaaaaaa 😁😁😍
  19. I read that two clubs hadn't yet cast their votes in the NL and the story said that the clubs who voted to end the season might just refused play like Dover have. It's a real mess. By the way the Chief Executive of the three leagues is a Rovers fan and local lad.
  20. Simply not true. They are putting money in to keep us afloat after their poor management for a decade. And the last three managers have come from the same agency of which two of the directors are ex SEM. No lessons learnt whatsoever.
  21. In the managers words Nyambe was dropped for 'no reason'. I really didn't want to start go dislike Mowbray but this nonsense is making it difficult not to. If you are of an angry to Mowbray disposition please don't read this. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19100064.no-reason---mowbray-nyambe-exclusion-barnsley/
  22. Pep and Carlo will have told him to play a three because that's what they want their youngsters schooling in. 😁😁
  23. How many games has Bennett played after his long lay off? I'd wager he invents some phantom injury for Nyambe who has once again been treated awfully by Mowbray. And after Branthwaite and Lenihan were abysmal against Nobbers they keep their places. Still Pep and Carlo will be chuffed.
  24. Although it will be to our detriment part of me hopes Nyambe does leave as I firmly believe that with some proper coaching he could become a Premier League player. Along with Lenihan he started in Mowbrays first game four years ago and it's fair to say neither have kicked on like many thought they would. That, to me speaks volumes for the standard of coaching at Rovers.
  25. I think the decision will be entirely his but his day job and the responsibilities that goes with it might force his hand. It was pretty much handbags but from a referees perspective he has completely lost control and that shouldn't happen. What hasn't helped him is the fact he didn't send Judge off. If what was said was enough for him to react like he did then surely he should have shown Judge the red card. As it was he cautioned him for what to me appeared to be simulation.
