  1. The start was in contrast to the other three games when we started quickly. My thought was that it was part of the game plan to slow the play down, frustrate the players and crowd. The goal killed that but once we opened up and put a few tackles in we were fine.
  2. He deliberately pulled back one of our players denying us the chance to move into an advantageous position in the first half. His four or five roll reaction in the second half in our penalty area was embarrassing and simulation of the highest order.
  3. I'm just watching the second biggest derby in Britain this weekend and seeing what is arguably the worst Rangers team I can remember. Celtic are so far ahead it's scary. And we certainly dodged a bullet by not signing Matondo. He looks like a little boy lost.
  4. They have poor memories these Dingles. They celebrated this late equaliser by Vokes as if they had won the Champions League. And it was 11 v 11. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/20483944
  5. Foster was lucky not to get two yellows. If anything Esteve fouled Hedges in that incident and hopefully given you seem to be fair minded you will see that. The offside is a bread and butter decision which is clearly wrong. Some of the free kicks he gave you particularly late on (when the pressure was ramped up) were unfathomable. The game was too big for him and him and at times he was losing control.
  6. Your last paragraph is pretty accurate and particularly the fight we showed which is what pleased us greatly. I notice you didn't mention the referee though.
  7. I refused to watch the first series as they were winning particularly against us. I watched the second series though because they were losing lots of games and their misery was a source of merriment for me. Kompany giving it the big 'un on the training ground is well worth a watch. The meeting about increasing the atmosphere by appointing a drummer is really funny. They actually have a Fan Experience Director. 😂😂
  8. Richie Smallwood? 😂
  9. That was the catalyst for the sending off. Had he done his job and correctly cautioned the Burnley player with an early yellow card it would have killed the incident dead. I'm not excusing Gueye here but there is culpability in the referees part. Hopefully his coach points this out to him.
  10. I must be getting too old for this game 😁. It used to be so simple.
  11. I had to look that one up 😂😂.
  12. The jury was out for me when he came in but I was swayed towards him after the win at Leeds and Leicester where he showed terrific tactical acumen. He has revamped the squad and seems to recognise that experience is vital in the Championship. This season we have seen more of his mark on the team in the way we have played. The Blackpool game aside his substitutions have been great and won us several points already but he keeps it simple invariably going like for like. Importantly the players seen to like him and the way we scrapped yesterday after going down to ten was a real source of pride for us all.
  13. What does that mean? I've been involved in football for a long time and some of this terminology has me baffled. I had some trousers that were press resistant 😂
  14. It will be hilarious if they are in the Championship when they move to their new ground next season.
  15. I did. He was also 'blocking' some of the Dingle substitutes who were trying to warm up at the same time as him.
  16. I asked Harry Pickering before the game if the players know what it means to us. Yes he answered. It was evident in the performance of every one of them that they did.
  17. When we went down to ten men Dolan was asked to do something quite alien to him and defend particularly down our right side. I noticed on several occasions McFadzean (who was warming up) coaching him into the right plus which clearly helped Dolan. He is a top professional.
  18. It was one of quite a few incidents where he lost control and confusion reigned. Eustace normally doesn't comment on officials but he has today.
  19. At Premier and Championship level there are no assessors there on the day. His performance will be studied and a review with referee coaches will take place and he will be advised accordingly. My opinion was that the game was too big for him and he showed this by mismanagement of several key incidents. It's a long time since I've seen Rovers fans as angry at a referee as they were and for the first time I can remember Eustace was critical of him in his post match interview.
  20. From afar I thought he showed the Dingle a yellow card but the fact he didn't just sums him up. He was awful.
  21. I said I thought he did but if he didn't that is another awful decision from Harrinton.
  22. After playing last night Tyjon actually warmed up with the players today. He looks to have a great attitude.
  23. I thought he did book the Burnley player but it was an afterthought. The delay in doing it caused frustration and Gueye to do what he did. I'm not excusing Gueye but the referee caused it with what was an awful piece of refereeing. At times the game looked too big for him.
