  1. I think you have got the wrong end of the stick. It was a Rovers player being loaned out.
  2. I was told last night that on the last day of the window Pasha and Waggott arranged a loan deal for a player Tomasson rated behind his back. Tomasson got wind of this and asked the player who told him it was true but he was of the understanding that Tomasson had agreed to it. Tomasson went ballistic at those two and went to town on them, it was said to me that it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Being the cowards that are they were scared they would be called out in his press conference the day before the QPR game and stopped him doing it. This ties in with the 'ask Steve and Pasha' comment after the QPR game. And Broughton knew nothing of this scurrilous deal. I was told the name of the player but it would be unfair to name him.
  3. Whatever happened to Waggott's reciprocal agreements? He boasted about a couple and when some digging was done they weren't actually like for like. Wait until the Leeds prices are announced.
  4. Thanks for doing that. Rather than just amend the original announcement they should issue a completely new one as people who have already read it probably won't read it again and potentially miss out. It might help also if information was given how to get these ie in person, online etc.
  5. The meeting should be with selected fans and a roving mike and recorded. These people like Waggott, Pasta and Broughton have far too easy a ride and undoubtedly the questions would be vetted from local media. Covid was a good thing for them. Because of Covid they have done away with the fans consultation meetings, shareholder meetings and even mentioned it yesterday in the communication eulogising the owners. There is absolutely no accountability.
  6. I'll pledge 10 then. Hopefully we get enough to get the Sky commentary team mentioning it.
  7. I would like to give a contribution to the cost, just let me know how to donate. Can I suggest a slogan to use? Something like The Faceless One.
  8. It's just another bland statement written presumably by one of the acolytes at Ewood. It tells us nothing at all apart from the usual diatribe about their 'full support'. Well that worked well in the Summer when they slashed the budgets when an opportunity to build on our best season in fourteen years was missed. We lost the best manager we have had in years and sold our crown jewel. And mentioning Covid again is embarrassing. Every club in the EFL came through it and emerged stronger but we regressed. They can stick their 'full support' and patronising statements up their arses.
  9. We really should have beat them at Portman Road. After coming back from 3-1 down there was only going to be one winner until Pears decided to punch rather than catch. I can't believe how they are being talked up in this thread.
  10. It's being reported that Nottingham Forest have been deducted four points which puts them in the bottom three and gives the Dingles renewed hope. Surely they will appeal and true to form the appeals commission will reduce it to two points. City, with their 113 charges still haven't been told their punishment.
  11. It's all so vague. If a senior wanted to buy an under 12's ticket there are no prices quoted so how would they handle that? I'm calling in tomorrow so I'll ask the question.
  12. Ticketing details have been announced for the Southampton game and once again there is a vagueness about them. It's free for under 12's (I applaud them for that) but only with an adult ticket but does this include season ticket holders or is it just if you buy only for this specific match. I think that is the case but it's not made clear. Similarly it says they are only free if you have an adult ticket, no mention of seniors. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/march/18/ticket-news--rovers-v-southampton/
  13. When did Nixon's word become gospel? I think very few people know what is going on and what those idiots think. And he isn't one of them. He is to journalism what Kean to managing.
  14. I would agree that Middlesbrough just shaded it but the highlights are misleading. There was an incident close to the end where, from a corner we probably had three shots in a matter of seconds. It wasn't shown on the EFL programme. It was a combination of poor connection with the ball and a couple of blocks which prevented us from taking the lead and probably winning.
  15. Another example of how football clubs can treat loyal supporters. The excuse given by this conglomerate is pathetic. I really don't like United and this is another reason to dislike them even more. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manutd-liverpool-fan-protest-yellow-32373675
  16. A really good performance today in my opinion, probably the best league showing of Eustace's tenure. We defended really well and if they were going to score it was going to be from one of our errors rather than then creating it for themselves. For me the key was going back to a four man midfield as we didn't allow them to dominate as teams have done to us in recent weeks. It helped having Tronstad back and he was his usual tidy self. We have to keep him fit at all costs. If I was going to be critical I thought our final ball in attacking positions left a bit to be desired or even the lack of shooting when I thought we had chances to do so. A special mention today from me for Brittain and Hyam. I have been really critical of them recently but today they were both really good. I thought though that Hedges was our stand out player. Considering his fitness levels must be way off he really put a shift in. The clean sheet is really welcome and if we set up with the same system from now on we won't concede too many. A special word for the fans today. The 'I don't care about Venky's' song was quite innovate and simplistic but it contained the sentiments most of us feel. And there weren't too many fans not singing it around where I was. That should be echoing around Ewood on Good Friday.
  17. I really haven't got a clue about how today will go. Middlesbrough are in good nick, we aren't. They are at home albeit on a ground were we usually do well. Who knows what the outcome will be. I'm pretty certain though that Eustace will go with a back five, leave us short in midfield again and we will create very little. Nigh on 1000 Rovers fans are making the trip today. I really hope the journey back home makes the effort worthwhile for them. Hopefully Waggott and the owners are the the object of their ire.
  18. Yes but cash only. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/march/12/ticket-news--middlesbrough-v-rovers/
  19. Didn't they borrow some money from a source in this country at a high interest rate? I recall it being reported and I think the source was actually named. A link to Bolton comes to mind.
  20. In a relatively one sided match Rovers won the Lancashire FA Professional Youth Cup 3-0. Rovers were dominant all over the pitch but the second and third goals came quite late which kept us all on edge. Rory Finneran dominated the midfield and Tyjon ran the channels really well but for me Rovers captain, Litherland was the stand out player. He was strong defensively, got the balance between playing out and defending right and stepped into midfield on several occasions to really good effect. We looked a really well coached group and it was our organisation that really limited Bolton to next to nothing. Quite a few of the team have already played under 21 football which augers well for the future. an enjoyable evening and great to see a Rovers team picking up some silverware.
  21. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/march/12/-to-be-back-on-the-pitch-has-felt-so-good-/ It's so pleasing to see Isaac Whitehall back playing again. Having watched him up until his injury I thought he had a bright future and I know the club did too. He is the type of midfielder who we are crying out for in the first team. Tough, strong and he can play too. Hopefully Eustace sees this too and at the very least has him training at the STC.
  22. This sums Waggott and the owners up.
  23. It isn't always played there though. I have refereed several of these over the years at Preston, Blackpool and Burnley.
  24. He still lives in Whalley and intends to do so for the foreseeable future. He will go out to Sweden as and when required and will watch the Swedish players dotted around Europe when he needs to. As someone said his son is an Academy player and I've been told he is waiting to find out if he has earned a scholarship. I'm not totally sure but he might have another son at school nearby.
