  1. You don't have to go back many seasons to when we had loads of surplus kit at the end of the season and struggled to shift it. Club needs to find a better balance and I'm sure they previously said they've increased the stock this season so let's see if it turns out any better.
  2. As previously said by the club and in this thread, initial batch available on launch day, rest of the shirts in time for the wba match. As for other clubs.... neither Barcelona nor real Madrid have their 3 kits out yet. Don't think man u or Liverpool do. Chelsea's home using available until mid Chelsea. Lots of clubs don't have all of their kits out yet.
  3. The club have said, several times, that they air freight in an initial batch of shirts to sell on launch day. They then put shirts on pre order, with the remaining stock expected to arrive in time for the wba match ie the start of the season.
  4. Rovers have said many times they have paid more to get initial stock in, with the remainder coming at the end of the month. Chelsea's kit, by Adidas, isn't available until mid August. Adidas have also messed up the arsenal player version shirt, so it had to go off sale. Barcelona, with kits by Nike, have only the home shirt out so far. So why do so many of our fans think we're so far behind the curve?
  5. Not really fair to question the quality of defending - what's the saying about you can't pick who you play against and still have to take the chances? If Rovers men, or any men's side, hit a handsome scoreline, do people celebrate it and enjoy it or write it off due to the level of opposition? Do we reject Ronaldo and messi's international goal records as half their tallied are against minnows? The video is ultimately promoting some good goals and asking viewers to support the women's team and watch them. Is that really so bad and offensive? I agree the overall women's game isn't as enjoyable and it suffers from a lack of many quality teams. It's not as athletic and it particularly tells with the some of the keepers and the height. When the elite teams play each other it's reasonable enough to watch and enjoy.
  6. Do you read and comment on everything you don't care for? It must keep you very busy.
  7. Not a great start for BBD. Only a friendly against st gallen but 4-1 down at half time, and he's part of a team with a fair number of usual starters.
  8. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/season-ticket-prices-premier-efl-30440301 Grimsby and Stockport in League 2 both charging £400+ for their cheapest ST!
  9. Did the forum meeting happen on Monday? If so anyone have an idea of when the minutes will be published?
  10. Don't disagree with them but they could easily put legislation in place to stop it. And we can go over the same arguments about advertising for gambling, alcohol etc etc
  11. For those who thought/think our shirts went on sale too late, Chelsea won't have any for sale until mid August. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66152580
  12. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sheffield-wednesdays-tone-deaf-ticket-8585440 The perspective of a couple of teams in the championship this coming season. It would appear Leeds isn't the team to worry about for away ticket pricing.
  13. Keeper top. Any chance this was mistaken for the away kit given the description we've had.
  14. Fully understand your annoyance it's quite an increase.
  15. If you mean specifically kids sizes costing more I'm not sure, but in terms of adult shirts, quite a few prem teams now charge £80 and that isn't for the player version either. As far as I know £55 is pretty much towards the cheaper end for adults now, and it's the same as Bradford City, another Macron team that launched their kit yesterday
  16. Not really the same comparison, they'd have to halve our shirt horizontally. now that would cause outcry.
  17. They've already said the majority of the stock arrives later in the month. I imagine they'll keep the majority of what they have for sale in the shop today - in a way it's easier to disappoint people online than those who come into the store. If sales aren't as high during the day as they anticipate, wouldn't be surprised to see some go online tonight/tomorrow
  18. They sold out online after about 10 mins. Which in one way is good to see demand, and I hope keeping some back for those who visit the store today, but on the other hand isn't great as they're clearly not going to meet online demand.
  19. It's nice. The light blue and adapted sponsor colours work nicely on it. Also a decent effort with the launch video, better than the signing efforts.
  20. Potential leak on Facebook? Seems to have the sky blue some have mentioned and is hinted in the club's teaser
  21. The club have confirmed release of the home kit tomorrow, coinciding with the change in opening hours at the store. Still no details of the shirt forthcoming though.
  22. Correct, it will be one of those. Perhaps we have the same source?
  23. For the first time, I will claim to be ITK: yes the home shirt will be blue and white. I await the inevitable adulation at providing this exclusive news.
  24. I'm not defending him, but whether or not something is expensive is relative. Nobody is forced to subscribe and should you choose to, you don't have to subscribe to absolutely every platform and service going. Each to their own. In our household we have sky sports and BT sport, we don't have Netflix/Amazon prime/Apple TV. I'm sure plenty would choose Netflix or whatever over sports based channels. Anyway, maybe the home shirt will be revealed today.
  25. Thought I'd entered a time warp with this kit, particularly given who is in the shirt.
