  1. I imagine most Rovers fans have ambition and would absolutely love to unearth another Howe or Nuno and have them deliver promotion. The problem though, as always, is the owners. They have no ambitions for the club. They jump into bed with whichever agent gets their ear and we end up with some cheap dross (See Coyle and Mowbray). They get sacked and round and round we go. Until Venkys are gone, we won't be getting promoted.
  2. How is Mogga seeing this? Surely this is more ammunition for him to keep his job? A large investment which is now starting to pay off (on paper). Unless he was expecting BB to get an England call up!!
  3. This is strange and awesome in equal measure. How the hell has this happened? Good luck to him though, I genuinely hope he does well for the Chile National team. And just because of this, I'll actually have an interest in a game I otherwise wouldn't have given a moments though to.
  4. Scott Wharton signs a new contract to 2024:
  5. If he's not signing a new contract then its probably the worst business we could do?
  6. I think Cowley signed a contract with Pompey the other day.
  7. Would be Dreamland stuff, if by some miracle he ended up here. He'll be staying in the Premier league though, surely?
  8. I assume the letter gained no response from the club or the owners?
  9. That, is the £200m question. It certainly isn't to benefit Blackburn Rovers Football Club, is the only answer I can give.
  10. I do like this idea as a way to protest against the owners. @Stuart is on the money with the need to get rid of the Coventrio before they can come up with another scheme to sell off Rovers assets. And its a good plan for the immediate problem. However, our overall problem has always been the owners, every decision they make is to the detriment of Rovers either on or off the field. It never seems like they have short, medium or long term plans/aims. The structure of the club set up is abysmal and getting transfers over the line seems to take an ice age because they have to sign it off. But this is our football club and we should still be able to go to Ewood on a Saturday and watch the team play, without fear of supporting the terrible regime that runs us. Everyone getting red and black scarves or wearing that red and black away kit we used to have (or any other agreed colours) would be a great way to attend and show our protest against the owners.
  11. Do we ever have our house in order? Always seems like we are linked with players and they don't arrive, then we get the standard waffle from Mowbray about players demanding high wages/agent fees, all the while other clubs are making moves. If there was ever a close season to have targets sorted and sounded out, ready to sign early doors, its this one. Looks like the usual, everything has to be reviewed and approved by a bunch of people who have no idea about football, tripling the time it takes to make a signing. Ewood circus continues.
  12. Rhodes has already signed for Huddersfield according to Peter O'Rourke on twitter.
  13. We haven’t had much positive news as a Rovers fans over the last 10 years. I wouldnt be getting your hopes up.
  14. Rothwell managed 3 goals and 4 assists this season, not setting the world alight kinda stats but I think with the skills he has he's worth keeping hold of and trying to get more out of him (probably would take another manager do so).
  15. How depressing if we went for Wilder and failed, only to stick with Mowbray afterwards.
  16. Genuinely wouldn't be surprised to hear him pull that line out over the summer (or something similar) And it will be unbelievably infuriating.
  17. Wonder if the journey restarts again due to all those excuses he's trotted out?
  18. We are 5 years behind Brentford (apparentl), so around 200 behind Leicester!
  19. Did I read somewhere that the review of the season was happening at some point last week? (Might have dreamt that (it was a nightmare about TM signing an 8 year contract))
  20. Yep same here. But I'm now hoping that the self proclaimed big 6 lose every game they play from now on. #idontholdagrudge #fuckthebig6 #screwtheESL
  21. If, and its got to be a big if,Chapman signs a new contract and stays here, he needs to have a stunning pre season, not just in the friendlies against lower league opposition but getting himself to the required fitness and busting a gut in training. Could be a useful player for us but Mowbray hasn't been a fan of his since he signed him. I'd be amazed if he signed a new deal though, must be off elsewhere (and no one would blame him)
  22. I've said a couple of times that I should sign up to the Trust but never did. This morning I finally signed up.
  23. ✅ Aknowledges a problem that could impact on the way he wants the team to play. ❌ Adapts to the situation and changes the style to suit the conditions. 🤷‍♂️ Shrugs shoulders and hopes it might work anyway. ✅ Nearly relegates us
