I've not seen the interview but Rovers Twitter has a tweet which suggests we might see Gladwin back soon, he'll be like a new signing right? (Disclaimer: I'll be amazed if he contributes anything at all before being released in the summer)

I was thinking along the lines that he is a more mobile defensive minded player than Rodwell and would put the boot in a bit more than Evans. That formation is unlikely anyway. I was Just tinkering.

He'll go on loan in January, should have happened in the summer. Now it's the wrong time and he should really be pushing the likes of Smallwood for a place. Hopefully pushing him out of a place entirely. If Smallwood is banned for 3 games, it should open the door for Travis but I doubt it will do.

January could be massive. He needs to bring in 1 CB as a minimum and it should be a priority, as in, that player should have already been identified and a deal already being worked on. Need at least one full back also. Wingers would be nice but I can't see us signing many players in January. Sounded like Palmer was off back so we might loan another to replace.

Shop window game I fear. Not played for ages then starts right before the window. Gives everyone a reminder of his talents to get the loan deals lined up.

Smallwood being out for 3 games could be a massive blessing. Let's hope it's the start of a decent central midfield partnership and Smallwood sits on the bench for the foreseeable.

Same here. Those 2 are absolute must wins. I can't see Venkys pulling the trigger before then, even after the inevitable humpings we are about to take from West Brom and Newcastle.

I think Team spirit is only ever really there when you're winning anyway. When you're getting beat every week people start looking around the dressing room for those who've made those individual errors that cost the team points.

3 or maybe even 4 -1 to the blades. We can't stop conceding goals for fun. Mogga won't change so I don't expect our goals against column to improve either.

I don't think you'll find many Rovers that disagree with you. Question is, does Mowbray think the same? And even if he does and signs one, would he even play him?

I think this is the main crux of the problem. The squad needed significantly improving in the summer and it wasn't. Questions will be asked about Mogga (rightly so) but the squad needs serious work because most of them just aren't good enough.

Nar its not worth it but Mogga never seems to change much. I expect him to go cautious but for it to fail miserably.

Mogga will be ultra cautious on this one I reckon. 3-1 Leeds.

TM has always spoken positively about Evans, I think Evans getting a new contract was always in his mind (assuming it was ok financially) Squad still needs plenty of work over the next few windows (assuming we are aiming high) and Evans will still be needed for the time being, even if the ultimate aim is to replace him. If we are replacing CM’s, I’d be looking at Smallwood to go first.
