  1. Teams in trouble like Coventry you go at them from the start. The way we played in that half was inexcusable
  2. Rovers fans stunned into silence here. Tomasson’s a twerp the team looked all wrong from the start and it proved correct
  3. Coventry should be 3 up we’re so bad. We don’t need a back 5 take the prima Donna Ayala off
  4. That was absolute rubbish manager picked wrong tram he’s as bad as Mowbray
  5. Another surprise from Tomasson’s bag of tricks. Looks unbalanced and lightweight to me but I’m just an old cynic. Let’s see how it goes. My first game live against this lot since 1967 (we lost at home). Come on Rovers
  6. Pleased to see the game hasn’t been switched to Wednesday as mooted which means I’ll be able to attend Jim the albatross hasn’t seen Rovers win yet this season and I’m desperately hoping to break that record tomorrow Brereton is out of form and looks tired and the manager needs to give him a rest. Hoping for a comfortable win but I’d take any win to make it 5 on the bounce. When did that last happen?
  7. Decision by Monday lunchtime, says Waggott So make that Tuesday about 3pm Coventry have entered an agreement with HMRC until December so presumably the club can operate normally (apart from transfers) until then Is there any reason why the match therefore should not go ahead at their stadium as scheduled?
  8. Any news on this? My ticket arrived today - I don't mind it being played at a different ground in the West Midlands but if they switch it to Wednesday I'll be fuming as I'm working that night
  9. Apologies if this had been posted before Match might not go ahead or could be played at a different venue While Saturday's match will proceed as planned, other options are being considered for the Sky Blues' next home game against Blackburn on Tuesday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63427703?fbclid=IwAR2tepz27s4EaStrbICXtZ6EP8xF2ihN0D2dQHvIBPU6oFKxyFeMPvJRQXQ
  10. Brilliant video .... thanks for posting The legend that was Gerald Sinstadt......."here is a chance now for Oldham to make it 3-1......." Don Martin was. such a fine player. Better than Brereton. Died in November 2009 aged 65. Too young
  11. What do you think of this lad? You're so lucky to have him - I thought he looked like a future England player when he was with us
  12. Carrick was a fine player - he should have won far more England caps than he did but was unlucky to be around at the same time as Gerrard and Lampard. He was as good as either of them I'll be surprised if he's a success as a manager though. Have Boro appointed him only because he's a North East lad - it seems likely.
  13. Dack has the ability to find space in the box, is a good finisher and brings other players into play with his ability to hold up the ball and play a good pass. He's also a "classy" player What he's not is a runner; he lacks pace and cannot play a high pressing game that Tomasson appears to require. He also needs to play regularly to be sharp and at the very top of his game. I feel letting him go would be a big mistake and he'll score lots of goals at another club where he gets a regular starting place. Tomasson clearly has problems with him but should be big enough to recognise his qualities
  14. 😄 They're a bit slow in East Anglia
  15. I'm rubbing my eyes at the moment - I can't believe we're in the top 2 - because I haven't seen us win a game yet (warning: I'm thinking of going to the Coventry match) and witnessed some truly dire performances as bad as anything under Mowbray Yet here we are sitting pretty in the league, winning games we should be losing so Tomasson must have something going for him - maybe he's just lucky as I mentioned before? It's a long old season though and I want to see some good signings in January (unlike last year) to show that we really are committed to a promotion push On Allardyce, the man was a very good Premier League manager for us and my gut, sick feeling in my stomach when he was sacked was that it was the worst possible move the new owners could make and that it would be the end of us as a top flight club. It was
  16. He's an excellent poster - I'm just asking him to stop predicting easy Rovers wins (contradictory phrase, let's face it), not the moderators
  17. I really wish you wouldn't do this. You've been asked so many times no to - least of all because it nearly always ends badly for Rovers and you end up looking silly - again It's not clever or funny. Please desist
  18. Fair play to the QPR manager/coach. There's not much loyalty or integrity in football these days so it's unusual to see someone turn down the chance to manage in the Premier League at a bigger club when it is offered. He's obviously got QPR playing well and at the top of the league and his staying there will give them a big boost and doesn't help us or any of the other promotion-chasing teams
  19. Sunderland's next game at home to Burnley. They didn't get the rub of the green against us so let's hope they get some luck in the next one Black Cats 2 Mongrels 0
  20. Let’s face it, if that penalty decision had been us we’d have felt aggrieved too. Most refs would have given it. It’s the rub of the green; we’ve had some bad decisions against us over the years. Perhaps Tomasson is a lucky manager? We’ve been abysmal in the games I’ve seen this season yet we’re top of the league!
  21. Brereton worked very hard and scored a great goal but dearie me, he needs to work at playing a better final ball and weighting and timing his passes better. He should have set up at least 3 chances in the last 15 minutes but fluffed it every time
