  1. Strange team - Buckley being rested? He's been playing so well. Duberry is a passenger most games - he desperately needs to show something. And Cantwell needs to start showing his true ability. Baath is a loss - hope he’s not out long
  2. “Must-win” is overused but I feel it’s so important to get the 3 points today and keep the feel good factor going after the turmoil of the past week. A draw would be a big disappointment and defeat bring back the dark clouds of everything that’s wrong at the club . Cautiously hopeful Rovers 2 Plymouth 0
  3. The "moving to be near his family" reason for leaving Rovers was always a smokescreen and complete nonsense
  4. Excellent article in today’s Times newspaper on Eustace and the continuing dysfunctional Venky’s regime at Ewood. Written by Gregor Robertson, an ex-footballer. Says Eustace was also in for the Hull job - which is new - in addition to West Brom and Coventry, suggesting again that Eustace only saw Rovers as a temporary job on the way to something better. Again begs the question - was John not the victim in all this and did he use the club?
  5. I wouldn’t be too bothered with what Eddie says, Rev. “Good riddance to bad rubbish” to describe a decent bloke who did a good job in difficult circumstances can be added to last weekend’s never to be forgotten “happy to be out of the cup”.
  6. It's so important we win this to get a run going after the very welcome and unexpected West Brom victory and gives us some momentum going into the sharp end of the season. A defeat (or draw) would be such as disappointment and will take away the feel-good factor from Tuesday. A must-win game for me. Nothing else will do.
  7. This is likely to be very similar to a transfer window - long, drawn-out, with no sign of any decision, smacking of course of the usual lack of forward planning. Expect periodic press releases every week or so with "updates" on the club's "progress" in its "search for the right man" and how it hopes to make an appointment "as soon as possible" Rinse and repeat for 6 weeks. Then it announces that Lowe will continue until the end of the season when there will be another "review" and a final decision made
  8. Thanks for asking but no, I’ve been laid low by a grotty virus so stayed at home. Delighted with the win, hoping to see one before the end of the season!
  9. No I’ve been struck down by the lurgy. Double bonus tonight - Rovers victory and my 100 per cent record intact
  10. Well that was unexpected! Football, bloody hell. Great credit to the players pulling together after all the chaos behind the scenes
  11. The Rovers players deserve this after all the shit of the past few days Hope we can hang on!
  12. He played more than 570 league games scoring over 130 goals. Not bad for a gasman
  13. Buying a home in the area makes even more sense
  14. Cooper has a decent track record in this division. Give him a contract to the end of the season with a million pound bonus if we go up. Then review
  15. Thanks for confirming. Kevin stating stating the obvious that’s flown over the head of the downvoter. Folk questioned why Bryan Kidd left as United. No 2 to become Rovers manger and Kidd admitted it was for the money
  16. Cynical view and amid the chaos I hadn’t thought of it but you could have hit on the truth. Eustace is likely to have been offered a big pay rise and that more than his grievances will have swayed his decision. Managers are no different to players - they’re out for maximum financial gain and they want success but at the end of the day money talks
  17. Does the club secretary working from home in Brighton (yes, really) know about this?
  18. It was always staring you in the face
  19. If Eustace was in 2 minds about moving I think that statement would make him pack his bags now
  20. I don’t attend matches to “financially back the regime”. It doesn’t even cross my mind. I attend matches to support the team in blue and white halves, like I have for 60 years. Staying away as a “protest” against the owners achieves little except long term damage to the club. Crowds could dwindle to zero but that still does not mean they’d relinquish ownership.
  21. Makes you feel better no doubt but doesn’t solve anything I’m afraid
  22. That's staggering but not surprising as it's consistent with a club that is run by people who have no connection or affinity with the area whatsoever. Has he ever been to Ewood, or actually watched Rovers play? It's ridiculous. It goes without saying this is not how a football club that has strong ties to the local community should be run. It's all such a mess
  23. LT article citing “family” too. Really? Living in a hotel obviously isn’t sustainable. Why don’t these people don’t buy a home in the area? They’re multimillionaires, they can afford it. If they truly believe in the “project” they should move house and commit to it. The club should insist on it too - but with a CEO who lives down south that’s not going to happen.
  24. ‘Family reasons’ is nonsense and just a party line and smokescreen for the real problems he’s having at the club, which everyone knows. They must think fans are daft if they expect us to believe it and no one except Chaddy would take it as the truth
