  1. The Cup game will be on national TV but it was a response to the idea to contact Newcastle fans - which I think would be a waste of time for the reasons stated. There's differing views on how we should go about the protests and this is one forum where they can be expressed. If you don't understand that perhaps you should stick to your WhatsApp group where you might be more useful?
  2. Agree. It's a daft idea to target the Newcastle game. They're a deluded lot who think they support the biggest club in the world. They look down on us like they do most clubs and we won't get any sympathy from them let alone support
  3. Freudian slip there in view of speculation that Rovers might have spelt his name wrongly on the paperwork
  4. There's a few variants of the name McGuire........McGwire, McGwyre, McQuire, for instance, and, most commonly, Maguire It wouldn't be surprising if they misspelt it on the form but it would be typical of the low calibre people at Ewood
  5. Tomasson has to carry the can for the current crisis on the pitch - it's his job to get good results and he's failing badly at present. So they're right about that. But to absolve the cancer at the heart of the club and the mess Venky's have created over the past decade or so as they are doing is just putting their head in the sand.
  6. Same here. He looks fed up and wants out. And at the moment, with the team in freefall and him unable to do anything about it, he's doing more harm than good. They won't sack him because it costs money; I wish he would walk away today
  7. Well done with all this. In view of events and while it is live and feelings are high a strong statement today would be welcome
  8. They're the sort who, despite being underpaid and exploited for years, are eternally thankful to their employers just for giving them a job. They would never rock the boat for fear of losing it and go through life in awe of their supposed superiors. They're the sort who never question any sort of officialdom, never think that people at the top might be corrupt, or acting only for themselves, that they only got their through luck, or exaggerating their own abilitites, but are in fact totally useless. They're the sort who vote for the same team every time at elections despite that team never having acting in their interests. They are dangerous because they like the status quo, and are against change, even when it is blindingly obvious that change is desperately needed. This is what Rovers fans fighting the Ewood regime are up against. The enemy within.
  9. Thanks for clearing that up. My post was conjecture so it’s going to know there are folk on here who have the full facts at their fingertips
  10. If that’s all Broughton does as you claim then he’s under employed, overpaid, and isn’t actually very good at it. Another case for getting rid of the DoF role and letting a manger do the job
  11. Anyone got a contact at Manchester airport? If he's on that 10.30am flight tomorrow you have to assume the deal is dead
  12. Tomasson has shown himself to be a one-dimensional manager capable of getting the team to play attractive football at times in the modern style but incapable of organising a defence and making the team hard to beat when it isn't playing well. He's likeable but there's also clearly a touch of arrogance. In our current predicament he should put his ego to one side now. If he cared about the club - and the fans - he should resign this week.
  13. Read the Rovers Facebook page - it's full of the same sort of statements and although there's a few dissidents it seems to be the accepted narrative there where this place is very much anti-Venkys. Have they got it right and we've got it wrong?. There are parallels. Never question what they're doing, or that they might be corrupt, or that they might be working against your interests and in fact couldn't give two diddly-squats about you
  14. Cost of living crisis hitting hard? While you’re there find us some players on the Copacabana. You’ll have to the paperwork though as the club clearly can’t
  15. Disagree and it won't happen: there will always be a hardcore few. Get on the pitch and bring a match to a halt. Guaranteed headlines. Reading fans showed the way
  16. Sorry, this is letting Tomasson off the hook. All the above is true but that doesn't excuse the way the team was set up and played today. And it's not as if today was unusual, it's been the same for weeks and weeks, the team is in freefall and heading for the bottom 3 at a rapid rate. This is all down to Tomasson, and if he's feeling hard done by and sulking then it's a poor show and unprofessional on his part. He needs to show some respect to the fans, work with what's he's got and get the team picking up points again. Even some draws would be encouraging.
  17. Not a single post on this thread despite another loss to a relegation rival. You have to assume fans still aren’t worried - or do they think now it’s inevitable?
  18. Losing at home to a relegation rival is the mark of a club on the way down. Even a draw would have been acceptable but we couldn’t even manage that. Tomasson’s position would appear to be untenable. If he wasn’t going already he should resign
  19. Yes agreed. Results are appalling. His time is up
  20. Another defeat. Still laughing? Goldfish 1 Barn Owl 0
  21. I don’t find today’s performance and the last few games I’ve seen live including the debacle at Wrst Brom that funny. I don’t know why you do
  22. I hope you’re including Tomasson in that. This is his team out there today
