  1. Mentioned it last night but would like to highlight again the huge shift that Dolan put in. He's not my favourite player and I've seen him have some real stinkers but he worked his socks off to plug the gap after Montgomerie's sending off. He should have passed to Gueye in the breakaway though - and that's why he will always be a flawed player. Talking of Gueye I thought his body language was poor and he looked like he was sulking for not being in the starting XI. He had his own selfish moment too when he did 2 or 3 stepovers and shot for goal when he should have passed to Rovers players in better positions. Obviously a pleasing result and it was well deserved but, oh dear, we're still a very hard team to watch and it's also important to remember we were only the width of the woodwork away from a 2-1 defeat
  2. Tronstad was in front of me at pitch level 5 yards away leading the celebrations so I missed him - as I said. But you weren't at the match but you did see him. So there it is. I'm just relieved our group has broken this season's hoodoo. Odd feeling walking away from a match having won.
  3. I was looking for the manager to see if he was celebrating with the players but couldn’t spot him. Might be wrong though but wouldn’t bd surprised if he just walked off. Seems a cold fish
  4. The curse finally lifted at the 14th attempt. Scrappy game and a bit of luck required but Rovers deserved it with the one moment of quality. Hyam and Baath stood out and Dolan put in a big shift to provide cover after the sending off. Toth is as weak and flappy as Wahlstedt - if Luton go down could we try and get Kaminski back? Big kudos to the Rovers faithful they never stopped singing all afternoon. And yes, Luton is a s….hole
  5. Decided to go to this one - yet to see Rovers win this season but that doesn’t matter because Rovers don’t win football matches any more
  6. Coar is probably the only remaining link between the Walker era and Venky's. He's see the 30 years of success, change and upheaval and decline, and presumably would have some interesting views. Have Glen and his group spoken to him?
  7. Rovers are drawing at home. How rubbish must Sheffield Wednesday be?
  8. The club is imploding. If fans don’t get on the pitch now to protest they never will
  9. Blimey, reading this thread all the way through what a nest of vipers Ewood Park has become. Many organisations have snakes like Lowe, hanging on for years despite constant change yet seemingly untouchable. Now it has all become clear. The whole lot needs clearing out and resetting with a clean slate. Well done to Glen & co for shining a light on these people and forcing them into the open. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of this dreadful regime that has destroyed our great club
  10. So where are the protests - another damp squib? Years ago fans would have been going berserk at a manager with Ismael's record since he came in.
  11. He's right, unfortunately. The quality just isn't there to sustain a challenge over the season
  12. This is awful. Boro could have scored 3 in the last 5 minutes. Meanwhile up front we haven't tested their keeper yet
  13. Boro's. Most of our lot are understandably sitting in stony silence
  14. Blackburn "overachieving under Eustace". Thanks very much
  15. Another abysmal half. Boro at a canter and we don't like like scoring a goal in a month of Sundays Even the protesters have been numbed into silence
  16. Can you really? That would mean them admitting they'd made a mistake - and cost money. Won't happen
  17. Ismael stands there like a statue. No animation, no instructions, no passion. Nothing Sacre bleu
  18. We never, ever, look like scoring a goal. Every game
  19. I suggested it from the 2nd game only to be shot down but the Rovers players have been on strike since Ismael turned up
  20. If this doesn't provoke a big reaction from fans in the ground nothing will
  21. And 0-2 Great managerial appointment chaps. Well done
  22. Two minutes.... that's all it took Even "one of the best keepers in the Championship couldn't save it"
  23. Watched 5 minutes and that was enough. All 3 of them are clearly rattled. Congratulations on all who are involved in this. Would any decent employer give any of them a job? Gestede to clean the players' boots and sweep the floors maybe. Dreadful people, a whole world away from the Rovers-supporting local businessmen who ran the club decades ago and had only its interests at heart. Waggott comes across a slimy individual, with one of those simpering, whiny Geordie voices. The fans need to be heard loud and clear and, hopefully, actions need to take place and be seen before the TV cameras on Friday night. Will it make any difference? Who knows - but let's embarrass the hell out of these people.
  24. We can’t lose against “Middlesborough” because as a town and a club it doesn’t exist. In our current dire form I don’t think we’ll get anything out of Middlesbrough though, despite our generally very good record against them Rovers 0 Middlesbrough 1
