  1. Goal down the right flank where Nyame wasn't? Sounds about right
  2. If Nyambe is fit then he should start; and if he's not fit he shouldn't be on the bench Bottom line is Nyambe should be one of the first picks and is the best right back in the club Well done Tony
  3. Me too. We know our Rovers. It's in the water of us old' uns, isn't it?
  4. Harwood-Bellis is in a different class to Branthwaite who reminds me a bit of ex-Rover Jay McEveley. Branthwaite will have a good career in the lower divisions eventually but I'd be surprised and disappointed if Harwood-Bellis doesn't make it to the top
  5. Yes, I know Tyrone. But the armchair experts say it's an "awful league" while at the same time wanting promotion and criticising the owners for their stewardship of the club and their lack of ambition. Given that we'd likely be in relegation battle from the first match it's odd that these knowledgeable pundits would want us to be a part of this "awful league"
  6. If the Premier League is so "awful" why are we desperately keen to get back in it?
  7. Swansea stuffed 3-0 by Stoke tonight and puts our pathetic performance on Saturday into perspective
  8. Newcastle 3-1 up and Everton now embroiled in the relegation battle. Frankly, Lampard has a big job on his hands What's the "Premiership" BTW? It's been the Premier League since 2007
  9. Like Paul Lake? Another "Duncan Edwards"
  10. That's that then ....... the bookies friend has formally declared a Forest win Always fill your boots on the opposite @Mercer says
  11. Forest looked very impressive on MoD and Cooper has clearly got a good team spirit going. A difficult game and a draw would be a good result on our current form
  12. The young Phil Jones was likened to Duncan Edwards so I wouldn't get too carried away
  13. How the ***** is that goal? This is very funny https://twitter.com/i/status/1489751017684185089
  14. I think it's a good appointment by West Brom. Don't be surprised to see them get their first win under him against us.
  15. PFA today denied it is refusing to help Tony
  16. Just flagging this one up because it's an important game and one I'm looking forward to for personal reasons Sky just announced Steve Bruce is in advanced negotiations to take over as manager after the sacking of Ismael New manager bounce for the Baggies and return to Hawthorns for Mowbray Much to talk about
  17. Swansea are struggling so it's not a must win but it's a game we need to win and ought to win if we're serious about maintaining promotion momentum It would be nice to win at a canter too so that key players can be substituted and rested Our thin squad is going to have to be managed very carefully
  18. As seems likely, a big loss to the game and England. Top quality player in the making. Another Adam Johnson, too much money, too young, too much sense of entitlement, particularly towards women.
  19. The management at Rovers taking all day to get one loan over the line is similar to the incompetence that allowed Man United to steal Roy Keane from under our noses back in the 1990s. Amateurs is too kind a word
  20. Question: Does the January window closing prevent us signing any players from now to the end of the season, or can we sign players from say, league 2 or leagues outside the UK?
  21. You don't have to be a one-eyed Rovers fan to see that we've outperformed all expectations this season Are we in a false position given our resources? If we're honest, we probably are Our lack of player numbers and quality will eventually count over 40 plus games
  22. Hedges make his debut at the Hawthorns Love it! I hope he's a prickly character
  23. Sooner or later, some of our key players are going to get injured or suspended and we just don't have the back-up to replace them Those criticising Parker are missing the point; Bournemouth have so many good players they will go up regardless
  24. This feels like a turning point In the highly unlikely event that we get through to the end of the season without any injuries / suspensions or loss of form by key players we could still make the play-offs If we do get any of the above I think we'll slowly slip down the league It's a shame because with 2 or 3 top signings we could have had a good go at the top 2 from where we stand. As it is, I don't think we have a cat in hell's chance now
