  1. Kathleen Harrison. Died at the age of 103 in 1995, obviously waited for us to win the title
  2. Not another match ....... would someone end the season now please? The team, the formation, the performance, are meaningless. This has been a desperately disappointing season; the players and the manager are clearly not up to the job. We've taken 5 points out of 30 (I think); most managers would have been sacked or resigned out of shame by now. So to be contrary it's odds-on we'll beat Brizzle and the players will do it for "Dacky" While I have deep sympathy for the player, it won't be a reason to celebrate
  3. Those 2 penalty decisions against us were diabolical.
  4. Referee is from London. Did he come up here on the Brentford coach?
  5. Soft rubbish penalty for them Clear penalty denied for us Tony's got to have a go after the game
  6. Toney's from Northampton. Or do you mean non-black?
  7. Rothwell leading the charge by hoofing the ball out of play
  8. Even in the worst days in the 1960s and 1970s I don't think I ever saw Rovers not have a shot on target in 45 minutes
  9. If we lose this that'll be 5 points out of 30 How many managers would survive that?
  10. Blimey, this is poor. Brentford have done some homework on our new formation
  11. Yep. I've seen enough. Brentford will get a 2nd here if we don't get into this game
  12. We're way off the pace here. Brentford so much better
  13. The pressure' s off Mowbray because of the improved performances in the past 2 games But even if we go on an unbeaten run for a while we've still only taken 5 points out of 27 and everyone knows the same pattern will happen over and over again next season and beyond. For an ambitious club, grabbing the likes of Wilder, like Warnock, Pearson, Alladyce, when they become available is a no-brainer. Will it happen? Not a chance
  14. Yes, but they only conceded one goal and they didn't crumble. He was always there to foil our attacks in the 2nd half.. A difficult player, wish we had him
  15. Contagno (spelling?) looked a good defender, held them together and was always there to foul when he needed to. This was a difficult match for them and it's players like him who get teams through
  16. Amid the hope of the performance tonight we've still only taken 5 points from 27. Even an average haul of 15 from 27 we'd only be 3 points off 6th. 20 points from 27 and we'd now be in a playoff place.
  17. I wouldn't be quick to put Armstrong straight back in. For all the faults of Brereton and Gallagher, the shape of this team works with their physical presence and it's noticeable that it's working better for Dack too.
  18. I wouldn't start him - and then only possibly instead of Gallagher. The shape of this team is much better
  19. Plus points: Dolan had an excellent first half but faded in the second. Best game I've seen from Buckley. Minus: You'd think with a top forward like Ayew in our side we'd have won that. Brereton should have scored that chance at the start of the 2nd half all day long
