  1. Leicester paid £12m for Harry Maguire and sold him for £80m. No sell-on value there then.
  2. I wonder why the owners carry on. What are they getting out of it?
  3. Don’t understand this. In 55 years plus of watching I’ve never once left a match early, even when we’ve been 5-0 down at home.
  4. Mowbray has a habit of pulling out these unexpected wins when unrest is growing among fans and his job might be under threat. I don't see this as a turning point and although Saturday night with a win under the belt feels good, normal service will probably return next week
  5. Does that mean Mowbray gets another contract?
  6. They concoct yet another slogfest and then wonder why England have so many batting collapses in Test cricket. Avoid.
  7. To which the reporter should have said : "That's irrelevant because we've lost yet again."
  8. 1-0 defeat and he'll carry on.. 5-0 defeat and even Mowbray might realise his situation is unsustainable.
  9. Class act. We could do with him now. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50182372
  10. Chris Wilder was an obvious one in the lower leagues. I mentioned him a few times when he was at Northampton He's not done too badly at Sheff Utd.
  11. Absentee, distant, and disinterested owners? Ewood "management" with no ability to hire and fire? Manager seemingly in a job for as long as he wants it and under no pressure to achieve? Apart from that, nothing is broken at all.
  12. What's Big Sam doing these days ? He must be bored playing golf every day on the Costa Brava. Venky's could be forgiven for alot if they brought him back
  13. Anyone at the game? Signs of anger, protests?
  14. Another stumble on the slippery slope downwards And Preston Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds to come Tony’s pensions advisers are not concerned though
  15. Combine 1. Distant and disinterested owners 2. Manager under no pressure 3. Token "board" unable to hire or fire ...and you get the present state of affairs Welcome to Blackburn Dysfunctional Rovers
  16. What's more depressing - Brexit or Rovers?
  17. Not going to happen.
  18. Hopeless really. The season is dead
  19. Watching us lose 5-0 at home to ManU in the 1965-66 relegation season, sitting with my United supporting relatives. Horrible and upsetting when you're a young lad, but character forming too. Rovers forever
  20. Remember the Bulgaria match well.As a young lad it was a privilege to see that Brazil team. Garrincha made a big impression on me, a beautiful player to watch. Liverpool was crammed with Brazil fans most of them sleeping rough on the streets.
  21. Went to see Brazil v Bulgaria at Goodison Park in the 1966 World Cup - Pele, Garrincha et al. Brazil won 2-0 but the Bulgars were top footballers in those days.
  22. Mowbray’s philosophy of building teams is fine as long as there is progress and it is clear the team is getting better. However it’s plain to see we are no further forward than 12 months ago and unlikely to finish the season any higher than our current position. It’s mid October and for me as far as this season is concerned we’re dead in the water. Lying on a beach in the Algarve typing this, just glad I don’t have to suffer the agony of going to Deepdale
  23. Quite right, so why do you put money on us winning easily every week? How about you naming the odds on Mowbray going before the end of the season. Whatever you bet, I'll do the opposite. Surefire money winner.
  24. I really see no upside from here. Same porous, weak defence as last season, essentially the same team apart from 35-year-old Downing. Non-scoring striker in Gallagher and Brrereton, Graham on his last legs. The league table doesn't lie - it's a true reflection on the ability of this team. Flirting with relegation is a risk
