  1. If this story was in the public domain months ago as claimed unless I missed it why wasn't it more widely reported in the local media? I know local football journalism has gone downhill over the years but there's still one or two reporters who know a good story when they see one
  2. Protests are fine but it's answers that are required. This is potentially a big story that poses so many questions. Why was the club threatened with the winding up order? What are happened since then? Has the threat been dropped or is it still ongoing? Or has the threat developed into an actual winding up order? Waggott is the CEO. He will know. He can't hide.
  3. The local media might have missed this but they need to be on the phone to Waggott first thing tomorrow for a reaction
  4. Another is Jason Steele. Dreadful with us (almost as bad as Wahlstedt), now playing Premier League. Defies belief
  5. Why? He looks like he should be playing Under-18 football On another note anyone who thinks Adam Wharton is worth £20 million needs to have a lie down On his potential as an as yet unproven but promising player we might get £2 million. On yesterday's performance we'd be lucky to get £200,000
  6. To be fair to Brittain, the shot for the 2nd went through his legs. It happens. He's a right back - and a good one when he's playing well - not a left back Agree with the rest. I felt the players bar Tronstad and Garrett were just going through the motions. That's all down to the manager.
  7. Tomasson is regarded as a top coach so here's 2 jobs for him on the training ground before the next game 1. Get his goalkeeper to practice catching / clearing crosses / high balls / long throw-in into the 6-yard box and dominate the box physically instead of being pushed around. Repeat 100 times a day, time after time, until it becomes second nature 1. Get his defenders to defend properly against crosses / high balls / long throw-in into the penalty area. Repeat 100 times a day, time after time, until it becomes second nature Nothing else. We have to stop conceding, soft, sloppy goals
  8. Rovers away fans sang for most of the 90 minutes as they always do but not like today. I've never heard them turn on Rovers before, even sarcastically cheering our rare shots on goal and Wahlstedt when he actually managed to catch a ball. I have to say I didn't hear any anti-Tomasson or Venky's stuff but I overheard more than a few people saying this team is going to get relegated. By contrast, West Brom fans were pretty subdued but then Albion didn't so much win the game than have it handed to them on a plate. It must have felt like a hollow victory for them because the opposition was so poor. Good club WBA: if I had the misfortune to live in the West Midlands they'd be my team.
  9. Garrett had a good game I thought and looked like he actually cared. Wharton spent most his match waving his arms at his team-mates. All our defensive problems stem from the goalkeeper. Wahlstedt is probably the worst I've seen in a Rovers shirt - and we've had some bad ones in recent years.
  10. Our best forward isn't saying much. Gallagher still has the same old Ribblesdale cement in his boots - there was one period where the ball bounced 2 yards from his feet 3 times in less than minute. His ball control is very poor. I'd pick him over Leonard though who like Moran continues to look like a schoolboy footballer playing in the men's game
  11. We couldn’t beat Rotherham and nearly lost. What more to you need to know?
  12. Yes a very good goal and tried his best
  13. Fans like Tomasson for his honesty apparently. If that’s the case he needs to be brutally honest and ask himself if he’s failing as a manager and ought to resign
  14. I haven’t seen every game obviously but I can’t recall anything as bad as today. It was sad, sickening and embarrassing
  15. Did you see the first half Tyrone ? We’ve suffered some bad Rovers sides over the years but I’ve never seen such inept goalkeeping and defending - ever.
  16. Can’t even get the score right. The club is hopeless
  17. Taking the mickey out of their own team. Ironic cheers when the clown in goal caught the ball; celebrating when we had a shot on goal. Lots of people around me wondering why they bother going when the team clearly aren’t bothered
  18. On the way home now and in 60 plus years of watching Rovers that is the worst display I have seen West Brom should have scored 7 or 8. About 2000 Rovers fans there and they were let down massively and left with only gallows humour. “We are @@@@@ shite”
  19. It is my sad duty to report that having had to endure that garbage at the Hawthorns today that Rovers are going to be relegated 11 players who have given up and not fighting for their shirt or the club
  20. On the way home from that debacle Has he resigned or been sacked yet? If not why not?
  21. Tomasson must be considering his future given the poor results and the continuing ability of the club to bring in adequate reinforcements last summer to strengthen the squad and this window to cover for the various long term injuries My guess is he'll give it to the end of January to see what happens with new signings (or lack of) and then pack it in as a bad job. No manager wants a relegation on their CV and on current form that's where we are heading
  22. Even the “brains” at Ewood must realise it would be barmy to sell Gallagher at present given our shortage of numbers - as said previously he does fill a shirt. But depressingly it does indicate that they see a future for him at the club at least in the short term and they don’t have a new forward lined up for this window.
  23. The guy can not jump or head or shoot or dribble or pass or tackle or hold up the ball or lead the line or provide a physical presence or defend or score many goals He does fill a shirt though
  24. Says much about our current state when the possible return of Gallagher is eagerly anticipated; many fans would have relished an offer of about £1.5 million for him before his injury. Folk forget what a poor player he is and it's not unfair to say the only positive about him coming back is that he fills a shirt in a depleted squad
  25. Rejecting the Gallagher offer probably indicates 1. Rovers management see him coming back soon and having a role in the relegation fight 2. They haven't got a replacement forward lined up indicating a forward of any sort will not be coming in this window Both equally depressing
