  1. How would you have preferred the ending? I thought they did it rather well, in contrast to the lame endings of Line of Duty and Bodyguard, two others which gripped TV audiences and both written by Jed Mercurio, both of which stretched credulity. Last Sunday night wasn't right without HV
  2. Brereton needs to be dropped Pears Brittain Carter Hyam/Wharton Pickering Thomas, Travis, JRC, Hedges Dack Dolan
  3. Went to this match last year on almost the exact same date - a turgid 0-0 draw IIRC in which Brereton got injured and effectively scuppered our play-off hopes We're mulling going again if tickets are available although (albatross warning) I haven't seen Rovers get a point away from home this season yet.
  4. Are IPS our usual lawyers and would they have been working on transfer deadline night? Or do you think this is a new lot? Why does Farnell concern you?
  5. Just surmising. As a legal eagle what do you think?
  6. As a half glass full man that's very defeatist by you. There's still more than 50 points at stake - anything can happen If you're asking, I don't think we'll make it even with O'Brien because we still desperately need new forwards - but although we're slowly sliding down the table I wouldn't give up hope just yet The FA Cup is different though. I want a day out at Wembley before I pop my clogs
  7. Errrmmm, didn't we have "lawyers" working on transfer deadline night, because that is what we were told? Or are these new lawyers, ie, lawyers specialising in litigation after something has gone wrong? We should be told, but won't be
  8. That's a pathetic thing to say. The man's getting as bad as Mowbray for silly quotes
  9. Gallagher's header...... dear oh dear oh dear. Total lack of football brain to head it back into the danger area when even a Sunday league player would have ducked under it or let it skim off the top of his head for a corner
  10. Nathan Jones is a better manager than Tomasson as anyone who went to the Luton away match would testify. We were flying high at the time so the first half was cagey as Jones and Luton had a look at us First 20 minutes of the second half Luton applied sustained pressure and our defence duly crumbled. Luton shut up shop and the game was over Jones will walk into another Championship job
  11. We'd have taken a point before the match but 2 wins in 10 says we're heading for a mid-table finish. Leicester beat Spurs 4-1 today but there's still hope in the FA Cup
  12. Milwall and Luton in top 6 ....... and some say we're doing well just to be in the championship
  13. Tony Mowbray's Sunderland above us in the table as it stands.
  14. Because we're winning? It's not important ..... he said as much this week
  15. Chasing around up front in a 4-4-2 is not playing as a number 9. As an ex-winger myself I used to enjoy it.
  16. Take Brereton off and strengthen the midfield. Hedges maybe. Let Dolan and Thomas chase around up front.
  17. A winger whose forte is beating a man and crossing playing through the middle is Mowbray-esque,
  18. That’s a poor midfield, wouldn’t say boo to a goose. I wouldn’t pick Brereton on form and his obvious lack of interest. His mind is elsewhere. Having said that he’ll probably score a hat trick Or not
  19. Have you been to some of the away games? For me the non-performances have been the worst ever - and that's in 55 plus years of watching. At Coventry we had a big following and the away supporters usually enjoy themselves with a good old sing-song but even the lads there were stunned into silence
  20. Except when Sam Allardyce was at Ewood, eh Chaddy?
  21. Wasn't a decision expected today ?
  22. There's a good letter in the Times today from a Manchester resident pointing out that the owners of United have extracted billions from the club over the years without spending a penny on infrastructure, the ground, the training ground or the local community (sound familiar Venky's?) whereas the opposite is true of City where among many improvements to the immediate local area a vast swathe of the east side of Manchester has been revitalised by investment in infrastructure and regeneration.
