  1. He specifically said though that we wont spend on Championship wages, not transfer fees. On fees, our spending this season is far from unreasonable. But there is a clear and aggressive policy to massively cut the wage budget hence signing players from weaker foreign leagues.
  2. I really dont get this anti English player agenda you seem so keen to push. Our media often overhypes English players.
  3. PSR rules are obviously a load of shit. But they hide behind that but if you look at it, they have also snookered themselves somewhat. They wasted big money on players like Elanga and Ramsey. They also got involved in strange deals like signing a random Greek goalkeeper for a significant fee as part of the Anderson deal to Forest.
  4. One point you dont seem keen to acknowledge. All Championship clubs make losses and their owners all offset those losses, without the fanfare. Its not just a Rovers thing. In fact, I have read that even in the Premier League, only West Ham made a profit last year, as their stadium is funded by the government. Football clubs make losses. Yet are all owned by people who offset them. The chances of any new owners being unwilling to do that, knowing that they would have to is low and would be temporary as the club would be taken away from them. There are clearly people out there with the funds and willingness to buy Championship football clubs knowing that they are loss making. Why are you so skeptical that it would happen here?
  5. The way the squad has been assembled and they are "trying" to further add to it is bizarre. There seems to be no thought in terms of creating a balanced squad for a favoured, consistent formation
  6. People on both sides trying to provoke arguments, take the moral high ground and increase their own social media profiles.
  7. The sniping is becoming annoying on either side. And sadly I cant see it easing. There are people who seem to be taking pleasure in the crowd not being very low. Some even defending the owners which is pretty sick inducing. And there have been (mainly on social media) people purposely going out to provoke division on the other side, suggesting that attendees arent proper fans etc. These seem to be people that are more interesting in their own accounts being noticed, perhaps a bit of an ego thing. Often people who wouldnt have attended anyway. The way the coalition communicated in a non aggressive, non provoactive way was refreshing. These are the aims, this is why we are doing what we are doing, no calling out those who wont boycott.
  8. It isnt when the selling club wants £5m. Its an utterly pointless bid.
  9. Ismael mentioned it too. With some injured players returning a new excuse was needed.
  10. Why do all the other Championship owners cover losses? Championship clubs spend more than they bring in, its just how it is. Also, if you think that Venkys sacked Allardyce because of the fans then you are the one that needs to get real. But yes, people are just annoyed that Venkys dont turn up "enough" (one way of putting it) waving pom poms. Have some standards.
  11. He may well be tired and over burdened but he was never anything more than bang average. There was talk in the summer of him being rested and ready to score 15-20 goals which always seemed fanciful.
  12. How can anyone possibly have evidence of people who want to buy us? The owners wont put us up for sale and even if they did, we wouldn't be privy to such details. Why are you putting us down by suggesting that we couldnt find owners that at the very least would also pay the bills? 23 other Championship owners all pay the bills. Clubs at this level and below are bought. What makes us such an undesirable proposition and unique case? Paying the bills isnt this big plus you seem so keen to credit them for. Its the only way they would be able to keep the club. At every other club whose owners also cover the losses as its par for the course owning a Championship club. I bet you dont have fans crediting them for it in the absence of absolutely anything aside from that.
  13. It was an improvement in that we didnt get comfortably brushed aside. But it wasnt a good performance in general. It was drab.
  14. Doesnt buy him any time. Job is safe either way.
  15. It was improved on the embarassing 2 losses but thats a low bar. The standard of the performance today and the game as a whole was depressingly low.
  16. Feel like the narrative post game is that we were much better today. I thought we were crap again, so were they. The quality of the game in general was pretty embarassing at times. A group of sub par players looking particularly disjointed and again failing to win. The change of formation doesnt make sense. Recruitment clearly wasnt designed for a back 3, but we have seemingly focused on getting in most likely 2 strikers, no wingers, only to revert back, especially when our good wing back is getting fit again. Just screams of making it up as they go along. Ohashi is not good enough, thats pretty simple. Jorgensen offered nothing and looks slow, and Miroshita is better central and looks rusty, had no impact. Cantwell was crap. O'Riordan doesnt look up to it and I was amazed to see he got man of the match. Thought Cashin was much better which obviously the benchmark was low. But he was man of the match for me. Tronstad was also decent. Alebiosu had an impact when he came on.
  17. Dike will be on standard Championship wages so it wont be him.
  18. We have 2 left backs who clearly not play as wing backs. Ismael clearly doesnt want to use either there. We also have an absolute waste of space who again Ismael clearly doesnt want to use and one that he has called out for being a liability. We have spent weeks just sort of using 1, realising they arent capable of playing that position and then changing around. And he seems happy to just leave it.
  19. Thank god the rumour was false as that would have been yet another nail in the coffin. It does feel like a case of self preservation rushing everyone back. Ismael also mentioned "hopefully" having a striker by next week and a total of 8 bodies on top of what we had midweek. Surely we arent thick enough to not bother with a left wing back.
  20. It says a lot about how short the squad is and the shit that has gone on over 15 years. That a kid doing well for the under 18s not then instantly being chucked into the first team makes anyone suggest that it must be contractual. Any other club, no one asks that question. The next step would be to try and replicate in the under 21s regularly.
  21. We have signed a lot of crap from lesser leagues that you would think would be desperate to make a name for themselves. Baradji falls into the same category. More ability than the others but no sign of desperation to give his all and really show what hes about.
  22. Henriksson is right up there with the worst players that need to be binned. No one is going to want to sign these players though.
  23. There is no reason for the Sigurdsson treatment. The club at least before these dickheads bought us wouldnt have conducted ourselves in such a way. If we tell players that they likely wont be registered if they stay, and they choose to stay on their contracts as they are entitled to do. At least we have treated them properly.
  24. We definitely havent missed out on 6 points. For a start we have already got a point in one of the rearranged games, having again led 1 nil at the time of the abandonment.
  25. What do you mean "look yourself?" Obviously I cannot see the rumour anywhere hence why I made the reasonable request to know where the rumour had been seen. @RoversClitheroe please could you share from where you saw that Pickering could be going to Reading.
