It is clear how we are setting up to win games. But I wont tell you. Just watch the losses and it will become clear. Erm. -

Youd actively choose Kristi Montgomery to start as a centre back? -
P He should have just moved away from a back 3/5. Its not ideal to have only left footed centre backs but we shouldnt have fucked up the summer window so much. Montgomery at centre back was bizarre.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
roversfan99 replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Even if he did personally want these deals. Its likely that he merely agreed at the end, I doubt he was the one picking them. But either way, it doesnt justify them. You say it is only 1 game, he isnt the main problem at the club but I wanted Ismael to go BEFORE that. Its you that has changed from telling me before it that you have faith in Ismael before that, to now opening up the possibility of making a change at the next international break. What sort of situation would lead you to think we should change then, if we are still in the bottom 3? Is there a certain amount of points we would need for him to keep his job? Im not having these hard luck stories, we dont deserve more. I anticipate more of this, us being competitive in most games but a lack of defensive organisation costing us at one end, an inability to score goals costing us at the other, and a lack of experience on the field and quality in the dugout leading us to fail to manage games properly to get results. Even under Coyle, we were competitive in most games. And we are 22nd. Last time I checked, that was in the bottom 3. Or are you saying that you expect us to stay up, rather than we arent there now? In which case, even if we do avoid relegation, which I think is at best in the balance, its a massive downgrade from where you said we would finish previously. -

Gudjohnsen has also had big chances. He had 1 in each home game and not only did he mess them up, he didnt even get a shot away. Yesterday, his own poor movement meant that a potential chance in the first half became a half chance. His hold up play has been dreadful too. Regularly, not only does his poor control and awareness not keep the ball for us, it gives it to our opposition for a counter attack. It cost us a goal v Stoke. We also dont have time to "wait and judge" Baradji. We are in the bottom 3. We signed a player knowingly with a long term injury. We can judge that decision as a bloody stupid one. -

He is always going to say that he wanted every signing made. It doesnt make them all sensible or good signings. And again because youll bring it up, the manager should be having final say, I dont know if Ismael does, but even if he does, it doesnt mean I have to automatically agree with those signings. Would you agree that overall recruitment this season seems very worrying? Would you say that you are concerned about how bad results are this season? A record of played 10 won 2 and lost 7 just this season is terrible even if you are trying to reduce the sample size by removing last season. Im sensing a shift as before the international break you said you was confident that Ismael could turn it around. Im guessing this confidence has waned? Where do you think we will likely finish this season? -

Whether Ismael wanted the Baradji deal done or not, which is pure guesswork, it doesnt mean it was the right deal to do. Youve always said that youll judge Ismael on results. His results have been shocking, his record appalling. So based on that, I presume you want a change? -

6 wins, 3 losses, 12 defeats. Shit manager and absolutely no chance of him going anywhere. -

Good signs. "Good signs" against Birmingham too, when we "deserved more." Games tend to be decided on fine margins. With what we have, I suspect there will be lots more bemoaning of hard luck, claiming to have played well and constantly awaiting that "our luck turns." -

Dont want to hear about parts of the game where we played well. Thatll be the story of this season, we deserved more, we played well, woe is me. We quite simply do not have the quality, any goal threat, we have lost/let go our defensive solidity, and we lack the experience and guidance to manage games properly. We are in deep trouble. The manager with the record he has should be out the door, even with a poor squad albeit one he apparently endorsed the building of. His subs today were really strange and he seemed to give up and aim to limit the damage. But his job is safe as houses and will be in League 1. There is a real issue up front, the recruitment in general has been poor and built purely around cutting the wage bill. But Gestede really has pulled 2 rabbits out of the bag in Gudjohnsen and Gueye. And not in a good way. -

Good away performance so far, it does feel a little disjointed and I think Coventry's momentum has been checked by the international break but weve still done well to limit them and have the odd chance on the counter. Alebiosu again is really important to us. Gudjohnsen has been awful again, poor movement around the box and constantly losing the ball when it comes in to him. Hopefully jinxed for a winner. -
Ange is a poor manager.

Id love to be wrong. But no I do not. Top of the league at home against a side with a poor manager, poor 11, missing its best players and sat in the bottom 3 with less points than games played. Logically, a home win and a comfortable one at that. Football doesnt always follow logic but I have no confidence and expect yet another loss. -

If he leaves, we will have him back please. More chance of Venkys turning up to a game, but still. -

Pretty simple. I consider the low possibility of that combination to be a much lower probability than what 35/1 suggests. No way should Rovers be 2/1 to win. -

Hopefully today is a rare exception of a crap manager picking a poor team and against all odds they somehow sneak a result. -
People making these stupid rumours up just cause people to suggest that the issue is our "negative" fans rather than the club as in this instance they havent done anything wrong.

Looks good? That he wont be fit until at best late November, but more likely well beyond that? Joke of a signing. Ismael has sold Carter down the river in the press today too. Yes his injuries do make him a waste of time but to be questioning him in that manner, the "open and honest" gang will love him but its really poor man management to say that in public. How about looking back at ourselves who have left us with only him as a right footed centre back. -
He named inferior players, one who isnt playing that much. Unless the reason was injury, he should be in the squad. Managers can make incorrect decisions. Obviously it didnt matter in this instance, we had 2 easy games.
-
Whatever his reason, it was wrong.

Guehi is a regular playing for the same team and Anderson isnt at a bigger club so im not sure it is that.
